Very close electric shave
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used a lot of electric razors and this model shaves better than most that cost hundreds of dollars more. Most razors take a few weeks for your beard to adjust to get the most efficient shave. This unit shaved almost as close as a standard razor from the start. It can be used wet or dry. I wish the head folded open to clean the blades, but it completely pops off. It is very easy to remove and replace though. There is no case provided, but it comes with a protective cap for the blades. The shaving head removes easily to attach the beard trimmer. The trimmer works well also. It only takes about an hour for a full charge and you can quick charge in less than five minutes for a full shave. I’m going to stop using manual razors and this will be my primary shave going forward. There is much less skin irritation than a standard razor and certain other electric razor. I’m going to look on the manufacture website for a custom case so I can take it with me everywhere.

Solid Shaver with not so great attachments
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have no been using this norelco shaver for a couple of weeks and I love the spin heads on it. the shave it gives me without any discomfort is really good. The syle and design of the shaver is also really well made, It is very easy to use and I am able to use it for several days before having to recharge. My only con is the attachment trimmer is utter garbage. It cannot cut anything. I honestly do not even use it as it has been useless everytime I tried. I have had to use my old trimmer when I need it because this one has not worked well for me. The shaver is great and if your looking for a new shaver I recommend it, but if you need a trimmer also I would look elsewhere as the one it comes with does not work well.

It is very comfortable to travel. The only downside is that it irritates the skin. This was a gift for my husband and from the first day it left his face super irritated (maybe is not for sensitive skin). It used dry and wet, and both were very disappointed.

1. Allow your skin an adjustment period.
If you are a new user of the Philips Shaver, keep in mind that your skin needs to adapt to the electric razor. This means that your skin may feel slightly irritated in the beginning. Allow yourself an adjustment period of two to three weeks with your new Philips Shaver.
You can also use a gentle moisturizer or aftershave lotion to minimize skin irritation after shaving.
2. Pre-trim your long facial hair.
Shaving long hair can be uncomfortable and may lead to skin irritation.
If you have not shaved for a couple of days and have a heavy beard, it is a good idea to trim your beard before you start shaving. This technique also helps in reducing shaving time.
Some Philips Shavers come with a trimming attachment that you can use to trim your beard. Otherwise, use your normal beard trimmer.
3. Be gentle.
While shaving, it is important to be gentle, especially if you have sensitive skin prone to irritation. Do not press the shaver too hard against your skin. Only apply a gentle pressure which makes your facial hair stand upright and makes it easier for the shaver blades to catch and cut them.
Gentle pressure also reduces friction between the shaver and your skin, resulting in a more comfortable experience.

5. Tips for dry shaving
