Customers are saying

Customers are enthusiastic about the Series 7000 Bodygroom's overall performance, ease of use, and long battery life. Many appreciate its water resistance and the safety features that minimize the risk of cuts. While some found the device a bit loud or large, the positive feedback on its shaving performance and design outweighs these minor drawbacks. The lack of certain accessories was also noted by a few users.

    Excellent shaver

I'm writing this on November 9th. I'm 9 days into "Movember" as I'm growing a beard for the first time in my life to help raise awareness for men's health issues. I wanted to get a shaver that can keep my growing amount of facial hair neat and tidy. The Phillips Bodygroom was the perfect choice. I found the shaver to be very well-balanced. It fits in your hand very comfortably. Trimming my new beard was easy as the shaver didn't pull at all. It was also easy to shave other "man parts." I like the fact that the shaver is waterproof. You can take it into the shower or rinse it off in the sink. This is a quality shaving product at an affordable price. I highly-recommend it.

Just got this for my husband. He shaves his head every other day with a razor, has a beard, and does some body trimming as well. This shaver gets unbelievably close. The beard trimmer side is very sturdy and can be adjusted to different lengths. It holds a good charge and he was able to buzz his chest, back, face and shave his head. It gets closer than a razor shave! The box is simple and presented well. Easy to open. Comes with a little brush to clean the buzzer parts. It says it can be used in the shower but he doesn’t like to use it there.

I really like the versatility of this Philips Norelco bodygroomer. First of all, it comes with straight forward directions on how to use it and maintenance. Second, I like how easy it is to use. So far I have used it to maintain armpit hair and it has been so easy to use the trimmer and then finish the job with the shaver. I have very sensitive skin and I was worried the shaver would leave razor burns, but it has been really nice on my skin without any issues. To top it off, you can use this bodygroomer in the shower as well. If you are in the market for a reasonably priced bodygroomer that works very well, I highly recommend the Philips Norelco 7000.

The Philips Norelco Series 7000 Bodygroom does an excellent job in its purpose: to trim down hair. It comes in a very sleek Silver design that easily conforms to your hand. There is some weight to it, but not too much, and it feels very solidly build to it. Both ends contains the Trimmer and Shaver. Each has a separate power button for it, so whenever you decide to use, you flip it over and turn it on. The Micro-USB charging port is found right in the middle. I found that using it is pretty easy. The Shaver does not pull on my facial hair and has a nice, smooth motion. The Trimmer has an adjustable length: 3mm, 5mm, etc. so that you would have the desired length of hair you are "trimming." I used it on places that are normally not seen in public and my fears of any pull or cut were removed to how great this worked. The only problem I found that in order to get the trimmer to be effective, you need to angle it right in order for it to work properly. Cleaning was a breeze as it comes with a small brush for any hair that was left on the nozzles. I did not use it in the shower to test it's waterproof capability yet. Overall, a nice and effective way of grooming. it does a really good job and fits nice in my hands. Charging was fast and cleaning was easy. Note: DO NOT KEEP IT CHARGED IF YOU ARE NOT USING IT. This will kill the battery life of your device. I have had a groomer before that was left charging and it no longer holds its charge and requires it to be plugged in at all times when using it. I highly recommend this device.

    Smooth, irritation and nick free!

Pros: cordless, waterproof, gentle on the skin Cons: a bit anemic in the power department Prior to owning the Philips Norelco Series 7000 Bodygroom, I have primarily used an adjustable hair clipper and detailer to trim facial and body hair. The hair clipper was the most forgiving, but bulky and cumbersome. The detailer was a bit more maneuverable, but didn’t give me as much range for varying hair reduction length. Additionally I would occasionally nick myself where I didn’t pull my skin taut. That was for both clipper and detailer. I would really have to careful and go slowly in those areas. To simplify and make my face and body grooming safer, I sought out the 7000 Bodygroom and it has done the trick. I love that the clipper side has a built-in adjustable guard to set stubble reduction length and on the opposite end lives a foil shaver with mini clippers. I was skeptical prior to using it as I know the motor won’t be as strong as my plug in tools, but for what I want to do, I’m favoring simplicity over performance. Yes, the motor isn’t as strong and blades aren’t as efficient as my plug in clipper and detailer, but it gets the job done a lot more safely. When I started, I was very careful in nick prone areas, but the hairs weren’t cut as close as I like so I decided to get a little more aggressive on the foil and mini clipper side expecting the trimmer to bite and it never did. I was rewarded with a very smooth trim with zero irritation and nicks.

I like that this product has 2-in-1. It makes travel easy and reduces sink clutter. I really like how the shaver has trimmers on both edges. This makes it super easy to mow down longer hair in a couple swipes. It feels very ergonomic in my hand. It's easy to clean in the sink. Small enough to get in small areas but not so small that it takes forever on larger areas. The three things I didn't like about it are that; I wish the shaver got a closer cut, the trimmer was finer for sideburns and necklines, and the adjustable-lengths correlated to actual guard lengths.

This grooming unit is slick, functional and easy to clean. It only takes an hour to charge and the battery holds up well. The foil shaver is good for short hair and the adjustable grooming end works well on long and shorter hair. It is fully waterproof for use in the shower and can be easily rinsed off. It is the most efficient grooming tool I have used.

I have had other Philips Norelco shavers in the past and it has become my go to brand for shaving. I tend to go with their products for the reliable and comfortable shave that they provide. It does have a trimmer on one side, with a foil shaver on the other side, both with their own button to turn on/off. It's an interesting sorta darth maul style shaver, when you may typically find one with interchangeable heads, but picking this up I knowing went it for something that was different. Some products with interchangeable heads may lock in with plastic, that can wear down overtime and you may need to replace it sooner because of the build quality. Haven't opened this up, however I would like to think it was designed this way to have a much higher build quality. As I mentioned before, I am a fan of the Norelco products because they tend to leave me with little to no skin irritation and do not tend to pull hairs while shaving. I was glad to get a similar shave experience with this product, especially with a product you may be shaving around some more sensitive areas. Overall I would recommend this product to anyone that may be looking for body grooming products!

    New Favorite

This is my new favorite groomer. I have a few others and my previous favorite is another Philips with multiple attachments. I still like that one, but the convenience of this one now far surpasses it by having the shaver and the trimmer together. Just flip it and turn on that side (they have separate power buttons) and you're on to your shave or trim. It also has a very natural feeling in hand. I'm using the shaver for my chest and underarms and the trimmer for some manscaping. Can't say much about the trimmer than it work. Just be careful with your movement not to poke yourself, if you know what I mean. And while it does work in the shower, if you're doing an initial trim, do it dry. The trimmer will get through longer hair better when dry, and I'd assume the same if you have really thick hair. The shaver gets really close, which is the whole point, right? I find it comfortable both wet and dry. I didn't experience any skin irritation when doing it dry, either. I had expected some as the weather has changed and my skin is a little drier in the colder weather already. So that was a bonus for me. Battery life has been great. In 2 weeks I haven't charged it. it says 80 hours of usable battery life and I believe it. If I had a request if you be for a battery life percentage. But that's totally a request, not a requirement. I don't ding it at all for not having one. I would recommend this groomer highly.

Great shave, but nowhere to set down

This is an odd product. Having two ways to remove unwanted body hair is cool and all, but I'm not sure why the heads are on opposite ends instead of being interchangeable. Combined with the curved design, there's just nowhere convenient to store it. Because it has to be laid down as it can't stand on either of it's heads, it takes up a huge foot print, almost half a shelf in my medicine cabinet as it is too long to be placed with one of the heads pointed towards the back of the cabinet instead of the side. As far as the utility of the device goes, it gives a nice close shave using the foil end. I have a problem with static buildup on my shins in the winter time, causing my pants to collect pet hair, and so when the mercury drops I buzz them down and am ok for the season. The trimmer end has an attached guard that has a nice rounded edge to the tip so it doesn't poke uncomfortably while you are maneuvering it around your areas. The guard fins are spaced close enough to prevent any areas with looser skin from being snagged by the trimmer blade. I like that it works in the shower, but when I'm done there's no good way to set it down, as the curve of the handle is incompatible with the slight curve on the rim of a bathtub, and it just slides around if I place it on the floor of the tub. My shower stall has a flat floor, so in there I just set it on the ground and try not to step on it. Cleanup is super easy, as the trimmer blade pops forward allowing you to wash everything out. I wish there was an included base, but maybe I can design some kind of holder that I can get 3d printed. I guess you could say this is something you can't put down, but that isn't really a great compliment in this specific case.

    Nice all around body shaver

This is a body shaver. I give it 4 Stars mainly for a couple reasons. First, can not be used while plugged in. Nothing worse then potentially having battery die and now you must wait for it to charge. Or later if battery dies out and can’t hold a charge it would be nice to still be able to use. Not to big a deal but still something that would be nice to be able to use while plugged in. Second, it’s a bit bulky. Works well but bulky so have to get used to using for some “areas”. But overall did a nice job and nice to have all in one with one side having an adjustable trimmer for longer hair spots and if you don’t want to fully shave a spot. And on the other end a shaver shorter hair and to get skin smooth. On a side note. Yes you can also shave with this but again back to on of my points, it’s bulky. But it does not do as nice a shave job as having a shaver specific for face. And it took a little extra time using as a shaver. So don’t recommend it over a shaver meant for face. But being this is a body shaver I did not use that as a mark down. Just a note. Again for what it is for. Great body shaver.

Anytime I test a product, I want to give just a snap shot review of my impressions of the product(s). Normally, it is a "New" something that wows me or whatever. This one however, just does not on several levels. To start, I want to be clear this is a fine, well built, and useful tool. But it is average compared to others like it in the field. I have other Philips Norelco products that will do the job of this one with a bit more gusto. I am a balding but mildly hairy dude and shave all over and just did not find this product worth more than shaving neck below body parts. Meaning, other shavers I have will clean shave my head & trim my beard and rapidly and easily shave other parts of me quicker, cleaner, and or faster than the 7000 Bodygroom. In short, if you are only shaving just below your neck get this; if not maybe look at other shavers that have different head attachments.

I didn't choose to test this shaver because I wanted to "manscape." Rather, I have an older Norelco shaver that I was actually trying to replace. There are many things to like about this shaver. The build quality is definitely there, and I like the rechargable nature of the device. It's also nice that it contains two different heads at each end of the shaver. Unfortunately for me, the adjustable shield on the "teeth"-side of the razor simply doesn't cut close enough for me -- nowhere near as close as my older Norelco razor. In other words, it wouldn't let me trim my mustache and goatee to the level that makes for a good trim. Other than that drawback, as mentioned, this is a great shaver and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who's into "manscaping" themselves.

This is a bit of an accidental purchase. I was looking for a portable shaver and did not realize this was so much more than that. I've gone through many wired shavers over the years and decided finally get a shower-friendly portable. The dual sides allows you for either really close shaves or trimming, and the trimming side feels extremely safe compared to my previous ones. This might seem like a weird gift to get, but I assure you the person receiving this as a Christmas gift will most likely love it!

I first want to note the speed, when it comes to trimming body hair this product does the job in a small fraction of the time it might take me to do with some other products I have tried (and with no discomfort). It has an adjustable trimmer on one side which allows you to get a balanced length trim without completely shaving, and the other end of this device is more of an electric shaver. As you might expect, if you have areas with thicker hair (e.g., chest), you won't want to use the shaver side (or you won't want to use it "first").

Waterproof groomer so it can be used in the shower. Has two sides, one for trimming and one for shaving, and the blades are advertised as self-sharpening. I've not owned this long enough to test that claim, but I don't see why they wouldn't hold up. Works well with attachments, just a solid all-around groomer, no pun intended.
