The shaver works well but for $80 i expect the build quality to be higher, a stand for the device and a plug to charge it

I purchased this item in the spring and it has to be the worst thing I’ve ever attempted to use. My $9 Barbasol works better

I've never had a particularly good experience with electric razors, since I'm pretty clumsy and have a tendency to get pretty bad razor burn. I don't seem to have that issue with this one - the head just glides over my skin pretty easily, and it even glides over the sharp angles where I usually find myself getting nicked. All in all, it's pretty pleasant to use. I have yet to hurt or even pinch myself with this shaver, which for me is a great achievement. There are a couple of downsides: for instance, the charger connector appears to be some sort of weird proprietary thing. Considering that the provided charger is just a cable that ends in a USB connector on the other side, I'm not a fan - if you lose it, I'm assuming you'd have to buy another straight from the manufacturer, and it is really easy to lose a cable. Also, it's a bit irritating to clean out the head assembly when it gets clogged if you've gone a bit without shaving - the instructions say to just run it under water, but I found myself having to use a brush to get everything out. Finally, it does have some issues with getting all the hairs first time around - there are always some particularly stubborn ones that seem to need a lot more passes than the others. On the bright side, it's really easy to disassemble the head to be able to clean it, and it doesn't seem to be too annoying to deal with if you keep up with shaving. I also like how there's an included cap for the head, so that it's not just sitting there totally exposed. The battery life is another plus - there's nothing more irritating than trying to shave before you head out the door and your razor is dead. This thing appears to hold enough of a charge that that's not really an issue. I'm also a fan of how simple it is - the only button is the power button, and there aren't any weird features to keep track of and it doesn't want to pair with my phone. All in all, it's pretty decent. And honestly, I suppose that the issue with cleaning out the head I mentioned is probably unavoidable. So really, the only thing I can knock this shaver for is the weird charger. I'd definitely recommend this - it's become my favorite shaving method pretty quickly.

I bought this with another philips norelco electric shaver which I will review separately. I returned this shaver to Best Buy because it took from seven to ten minutes to get a decent shave. The motor speed and power is weak and slow. I am very disappointed with this shaver that has a msrp of $89. Should be eight or nine dollars. Also, it only comes with a usb cord for charging. The company wants to charge around $25 for the adapter that costs them one dollar I bet. Unlike others, I did not get this as a promotion.

The shaver gave me razor burn the first time I used it. I have owned a number of electric shavers over the past 40 years, including Norelco. Never has a burn from any of them.

    Another Hit Shaver from Norelco

Summary ------------- Summary ------------ I totally dig the new design. Its a wet and dry shave and it has a edge trimmer for your side burns. Some of the recent Norelco models do not come with it, This one actually does. Well Built and clean shaves. Details --------- Pros ------ 1. Well Built 2. 60 minute run time 3. Wet and dry shave 4. Cleaner shave Cons ------ 1. Since it is rotary, its little more irritating than the foil Build quality ---------------- I can compare this to my linear shaver and I have to say that the Norelco's are built really well. The blade seem to be well made and should last about a year. I wish they come out with a USB Type C charger at some point. Shaving --------- I compared this to my Panasonic Arc 5 which is twice the cost of this charger but I have to say that this charger is less than half the price of the foil shaver is really good. It is not as fast as the Panasonic shaver but it does shave well and since it is a rotary shaver, it does have some good coverage. I did not try in a wet shaving mode but I think it should work fairly well. The shaving time is about 60 minutes and should easily last for a week. For the price it is a great buy!!
