Maybe 2 yrs before they are useless. I decided to try a higher end one amd hence this Norelco 5300 model. I like the digital charging indicator and the feel in my hand. The floating heads do indeed give a better shave, but not convinced it is as good as the straight edge type shavers. This however comes very close. I like that the popup trimmer extends far out and is a real plus. The unit is not heavy, and very egonomic. All in all, really like this shaver, and is an improvement on ones i've bought in the past. Hopefully, this one last longer as well.

I did not experience any pulling of the hair, uneven shave, or razor burn. The charge time is quick, the cleaning process is easy, and it is just a great product over all. I highly recommend trying this product. Happy guy here!
