Red Bumps after wet/dry shave
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I paid a good amount of money for this product for shaving, both wet/dry. I tried both ways, but it burns my facial skin and gives slight red bumps all over. This product is not for Asian hair.

Does a horrible job cutting my beard
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Doesn't shave my beard well at all. This is the 2nd Philips razor I have purchased in the past year, and for the price paid, I feel ripped off.

A Great Shaver With a Couple of Caveats
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Norelco 7200 shaver works excellent creating a smooth face and even removes stubborn hairs in one pass which I have plenty of. In fact, you only have to have a single pass for all areas of your skin for a clean shave which makes things a lot faster and easier. Cleaning it requires just rinsing the outside of the head off and then flipping up the head to rinse the inside. It gets perfectly clean at that point. There is an app available that connects to the shaver over Bluetooth which is supposed to improve your shaving technique. It essentially monitors and keeps track over time how well your use a circular motion to shave which it recommends, how hard you press, and how long you shave for which it recommends under 3 minutes. I’m not sure how useful it is in that you can just shave anyway you want that is comfortable and gets the job done. I have not used the app over a long period of time though to see any improvements I have made. As great as this razor is and how much I like it, there are a couple of things that could use improvement. This shaver changes over USB, however it uses a special USB cable it comes with and not a standard one. This means that when travelling, you must carry this special cable with you, and you must find a place in your house to keep it. This defeats the point of changing over USB and is no different than carrying a special changer with you like other shavers. I would like to see this use a standard USB cable that I am already carrying with me when I travel. The other problem is this comes with no case. Not sure how you are supposed to travel with it without one. I’m going to have to find a case and order it separately which it should have come with to begin with. Overall, I would highly recommend it as it does a great job but really think it should include a case which I now have to buy and wish I didn’t have to carry around and store yet another cable.

A Very Nice Electric Shaver At A Great Price!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Philips Norelco 7200 Electric Wet/Dry Shaver I usually use a 5-bladed razor to shave but jumped at the chance to try out this electric shaver. It arrived well packaged and in perfect condition. The Norelco 7200 is a very nicely designed and built shaver - light and easy to use. With 3 flexible rotating heads containing 45 self-sharpening blades and a pop-up sideburn and mustache trimmer, this shaver has it all. It can be used in the shower wet or dry at the sink or any other place you might find yourself. The razor comes with a charging cord and brush to clean out underneath the heads after shaving. After fully charging the Norelco 7200 shaver, I tried it out on a full day's beard growth. The shaver did an excellent job of shaving in very little time and with minimal effort. It is very easy to clean and as mentioned before, can be used wet or dry. The shaver has a "nano skinglide coating" to provide 30% smoother gliding on your skin. Replacement blades are easily obtained and quite easy to install if/when needed. The battery powering the shaver is rechargeable lithium ion and is good for up to 60 minutes of use before a recharge is needed. There is a battery level indicator in the handle of the shaver so you can tell when it is close to needing a recharge. The head covers pop open for easy cleaning and head replacement. I really like the Philips Norelco 7200 as it is quiet, quick to shave with and with no messy shaving cream or water required. It is available at a very nice price.

Very solid shaver.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good electric shaver. I was very pleased using this electric shaver for multiple of reasons. The shaver has a nice ergonomic head that does a very equal shave across the face. I did have to go over certain spots during my shaves to make sure that the beard was cut properly. I am not sure if the reason for this is due to having three circular spots on the ends and not one in the middle hitting the section of the beard that was missed. The shaver has a charge for 60 minutes which can last for a few shaves and you are also able to use it in the shower without the fear of ruining it as it is OK to get wet. I have not tried it with a wet shave so I can't speak to that. What I will say is it does a very decent shave and one that I will continue to use. I also like how easy it is to open up the shaver for cleaning. The cut up beard gets caught underneath and is super easy to empty out. The shaver also comes with a brush to get the excess hair out which works really well. The only thing that I wish was included with this would be a travel case. I would also recommend this to people with sensitive skin after a shave. The technology in the shaver is meant to be pleasant on the skin.

Painful, dislike so much!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wanted some thing that could get a close, shave and trim a beard. Even when my hair was shorter, did not get close pulled it. All the hairs was just a rough shaving experience. Just go with a normal trimmer instead.

Love this shaver!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really love this shaver! I have used many different shavers over the past few decades, and this is the best that I have encountered. For many years, I have used razors with shave cream, and these work well. However, this shaver is just about as good as a razor, without the fuss and mess. Even better, I can use the Norelco any time during the day to give myself a quick trim. With this shaver, I can give myself a "touch-up" shave within a minute, with complete comfort. I appreciate the solid design of the shaver, that results in a device that is quiet and comfortable. Note that this model does not include a charging base, but there is a USB charging cord that works just fine. Cleaning the shaver is quite easy. I see that the rotary heads may need to be replaced some time in the future, but that process does not appear to be very difficult. I have been using the shaver now for over 2 weeks, and there is still a good charge left in the battery. Overall, I have to say that I could not be more pleased with this product.

Great Shaver
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While this is a great shaver, I still cannot bring myself to giving it 5 stars. I probably cannot give 5 stars to an electric shaver unless the shave is as close as a blade. But while this shaver (and realistically, probably no electric shaver) can get close as a blade, this one is still pretty darned good. I have had a few different electrics from multiple manufacturers over the years, and I can say this one is the best. I have tried both dry and wet shaves and both are good. There is an app that can guide you through a shave a provide feedback on how well you have shaved. That is nice, but probably not a game changer for me. I do like the fact that you can clean the shaver under water. There is an upgraded model that comes with a auto cleaner and a travel pouch. I may have splurged for that one due to the cleaning function, but you can clean this shaver pretty well under a faucet. If I find a good deal on the cleaning pod though, I may buy it. Also, no irritation, and only need a couple of passes to take care of the whiskers. I will say that one more reason I could not give this 5 stars is because it does not come complete with a full charging system. It ships with a USB cable that you can use with a standard USB plug. I saw that they do this to save the environment since people may have USB plugs lying around. I do in fact, have USB plugs. However, this still seemed pretty shortsighted to me and I admit that I was a bit annoyed by it. However, it was a minor annoyance. Lastly, while I like the pop out sideburn trimmer feature, I don't think it is extremely effective - another reason for a 4 (albeit a small one) One last point - Norelco says to use the shaver for 21 days in order for your face to get used to it. I have used it only for a little less than that. Perhaps after 21 days it would get even closer, but not sure. Overall, though, the shaver is good right now and I recommend it.

I like this head design the best…
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Philips Norelco Shaver 7200 >> I like this head design the best… Have been using an older Norelco with the same type of 3-blade floating head, and much prefer this style to the “fixed head” and “foil” electric shavers. To each his own and I know of others that prefer the foil – so your experience may be different. It is interesting how a person’s beard “gets used to” a particular type of shaver, and I found this design works best with slow circular motion – as long as I can keep from getting in a hurry the morning shave doesn’t take very long. When I start rubbing the shaver back and forth or go too fast, that’s when I have to go back and keep at it to get the best results. Going slow and circular seems to work the best. Of course there is always the opportunity for a quick “touch up” in the evening before going out, which is another nice thing about a good electric shaver. The best features on this for me are the wet/dry capability and the sideburn trimmer. Since I don’t have to worry about getting it wet, cleaning is easier by popping off the top, brush out the hairs, and rinse. Charging is easy and a charge easily lasts me a week – probably longer but the shaver is new and I haven’t had to recharge it yet after a week, so I’ll let you know. Plug in the charger and lay it down by the sink – no worries about getting wet and a few hours on charge and ready for another week (or longer) of cord-free shaving. I have read some negative reviews on this shaver (and most electric shavers will include some negative experiences) , but don’t understand why folks are having the problems they describe. Go slow, don’t push the shaver into your face, circular motion – I have never had problems with pulling hairs or irritation except when my older shaver’s blades started getting dull. On a brand new shaver – never had a problem. Again, to each his own and for me, this is a good shave. Greetings from Central Georgia!

Apparently I've Been Shaving Wrong
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've used Norelco shavers for a few years now, and generally found them to be great options for every day maintenance. This latest design doesn't do much to fundamentally change the game, but I'll admit that I found myself impressed by the added smarts. The design shouldn't be anything too surprising if you've seen the Norelco shavers before. The three shaving heads are all mounted on a flexible plate that bends its way around your cheeks, with a pop out trimmer on the rear for shaping and light beard maintenance. It's a bit more compact than the other Norelco shavers I've used, which required you to swap the head for the trimmer, but it is a little harder to see what you're doing. Shaving was comfortable and got almost everything with a minimum of irritation, though admittedly my skin is already used to shavers of this style. Someone who's just starting to shave or making the switch from a foil shaver might want to make use of the mode that gradually ramps up the speed over a few days to let you get used to it, as otherwise I can say from experience that these can produce some pretty impressive razor rash. The standout feature here though is the fact that it's app-connected. As a user of a Philips smart toothbrush I was a little disappointed that I couldn't link it to the app I was already using, but on the plus side the "groom tribe" app is pretty compact and well laid out. Once you've paired it it can monitor a few different things to generate a score and tips for improvment. I figured, having been shaving with razors like this for years, that I would do fairly well. My score of 44 suggested otherwise. Apparently I was spending too long and moving the shaver the wrong way. The next morning I adjusted my technique a bit to move in smaller circles as the app had recommended. My score is still not great, but I'll admit that I did notice far fewer spots where I'd missed a bit of stubble. I don't know if the app is something I'll be using regularly, but for now at least I'm definitely appreciating the recommendations it's producing. There are a few downsides I feel I should point out. To start, this version of the shaver comes without any kind of charging dock and a proprietary USB cable. Since I, like many people, do not have a handy USB port in my bathroom I've been having to take it out to plug into my desktop to charge up. There's also no travel case included (though its shape is similar enough that it would fit into the one that came with its predecessor.) All you get is a cap to cover up the blades. Still, these are pretty minor issues with an otherwise excellent product.
