Simply, this a quality shaver. It works well, is well-built, and comes with just enough of the bells and whistles to give you that sense of a premium product. I have mostly been a non-electric guy over the years, so I was a bit curious to see what has changed over time, and how/if things have improved. While I can only speak to my experience here, I am very pleased. Shaves are close, smooth, and comfortable. I have a rather sensitive face, and my facial hair comes in pretty thick, so I definitely had my concerns going in. No longer. The shaver really does seem to glide over my face, absolutely more than I remember prior ones in the past, and while there is the occasional tug here and there from solo hairs, it is so infrequent it is hardly worth a mention. I also think it has more to do with my facial hair than anything. Lastly, I really like the wet/dry capabilities. Flexibility and options are always nice. All in all, the shaves are great, comfortable, and quick, which, frankly, is my only real concern here. Beyond that, though, I like the shaver itself. It seems well-built, feels good in the hand, and FITS very well in my hand. I was somewhat unprepared for how quiet it was. Clearly, a good thing, just was not something I was expecting. The LED display does a nice job of showing relevant information and “looks good.” Perhaps most important to me day to day is the charging and battery are solid. Charges are relatively quick, last me for a few shaves at a minimum, and as such are not much of a hassle. I am torn on the lack of an included brick (you get a cable, sadly USB A), as it is just more waste, but at the same time, the bathroom is just not a spot I have a lot of charging equipment. Just something to note. Cleanup, which given my nature, was one thing I was excited to see is a breeze, and kind of neat to be honest. The pod system with the little base just works. Simple. Effective. Efficient. I did not note it above, but you do also get a little travel case which is a nice add when you need to be on the road. Nothing fancy, but it works. You also get 1 quick clean cartridge pod. I suppose that is my one “issue” with this shaver, well, all electric shavers. You need to buy more stuff. After the initial outlay, you have to buy new blades (which are reasonable to be fair and “once a year”), as well as cleaning pods (which if you go first party are bit less so). This may start to add up. I guess it is just something to look at when taking this route. Ultimately, I do really like this shaver. I was a bit hesitant given my history over the years, but it shaves close and most importantly to me, comfortably. The battery performs well, cleanup is very simple and effective, and I think it will hold up well over a fairly long period of time. I will have to see how the economics hold up, but all in all I am very happy.

The Philips Norelco Shaver 7600 is a very good cordless shaver. It comes with a travel case, quick clean pod, quick clean pod cartridge, cleaning brush, and USB-A charging cable. The wall power adapter for the charging cable is not included. The shaver itself is largely matte black with black rubber handling area. The shaver has a square push on/off power button, a LED display, and the power cord plugs into the bottom for charging, which takes about an hour for a full charge of 60 usage minutes. If you need a shave in a quick pinch, it can charge enough for one shave in five minutes. The shaver can be locked so that neither the shaver nor the display turns on during travel. The shaver includes a motion control sensor that utilizes the LED display to help the user improve their shaving strokes for less passes and less potential skin irritation from over-shaving. The shaver dynamically senses how much power is needed to shave effectively and will increase/decrease power automatically. The quick clean pod is a nice touch. It allows the shaver to stand vertically so that the head can be cleaned via a 1 minute cleaning cycle as the head is immersed into cleaning fluid. The shaver can be used on dry and wet skin, just make sure to clean it with water or with the cleaning pod after each use. It can be used in the shower or bathtub, as expected from a shaver. I have been using it to shave my face and neck with dry skin, and it feels very nice to use. It says it has nano skin-glide coating on the head to make the shaver feel comfortable as it moves and I believe that works very well. It left my face and neck feeling very smooth, very quickly. I used the pop-up trimmer around my moustache and chin area, and it worked very well. After I was done, I opened the head to rinse out the cut hair, flicked the water drops off, and placed it to the side. I think it compares well to other cordless shavers at the price point. The travel case is a nice touch, and it exudes the typical Philips Norelco quality that is expected. This is a very good shaver, and I would recommend for any facial shaving usage or as a potential gift.

The Norelco 7600 is great when using on wet or dry skin. I like that i have the option to use it while my skin is still wet. It provides a smooth close cut shave in minutes. It glides across my face easily without pulling. It shaves quickly without having to keep going over it constantly. It has a facial hair density sensor that auto adapts while giving you the petfect shave!! Its motion sensor detects how you shave which i think is pretty cool. My favorite feature is how it turns 360° to cover all angles of my face while cutting, i dont have to keep moving my hand in different positions while using this shaver. It fits comfortably in my hand and is easy and quick for me to use. It has a deep clean pod that will clean the shaver for me in one minute saving me tons of time from having to donit manually. I love that i can use it in the shower. It has a pip up trimmer on the bottom that lets you do any edges or trimming that you need. Its easy to work the edger and i love that it is built in so i dont have to pull out another tool. Overall this shaver is smooth on your face, gives you a great shave quickly, and has a trimmer built in.

Doesn't cut hair close to the nose. Sometimes have to resort to an old fashion razor to get some hairs in open areas that this thing misses. Occasionally grabs a hair or two rather than cutting them. Not likely to buy another Phillips shaver.

This shaver isn’t great for thicker beards. Even with a trimmed or daily shave, it takes too long, pulls, and doesn’t cut efficiently.

I’ve been debating over the past couple years of switching back to an electric shaver. I’ve felt and read that razor blades do damage to your skin and as someone with sensitive skin, those are likely not helping me. I decided to give the Philips Norelco 7600 a try since Norelco is the best in the game when it comes to shavers. I was extremely impressed by its reasonable price to performance ratio. Out the gate I was getting a solid shave with minimal skin irritation (which is expected for a couple weeks anytime you switch shaving styles). I thought that the display info and connected app would be a gimmick but they ended up being solidly helpful when it came to improving my shaving experience. I would suggest reading the instruction manual as there is some information to learn when it comes to operating it outside of just turning it on and off. The app gives you information like how to improve your shave as well as tracking how long you shaved for and if you need to change how you shave. If you aren’t interested in using those things you can absolutely ignore them and just use the shaver, but I would suggest giving it a try as the extra features are surprisingly useful. The quick clean pod is a great addition as you simply set your shaver down on it after shaving and it thoroughly cleans the head with minimal work from you. I wish it wasn't another replacement product that I have to buy, but it works so well that I am alright with it. Also, don’t place your shaver on the clean pod immediately before using as that cleaning fluid will drip down the front of you, always clean the shaver after use. This is a fantastic shaver, especially if you’re not looking to spend a lot of money. It’s a great shave at a great price. With the addition of the intelligent properties of this shaver along with the quick clean pod, it’s a great all around evolution of the old electric shaver and is an easy recommendation from me. Pros: A great shave Reasonable price Long battery life USB-A charging cable Display that helps you get a better shave App is surprisingly useful Sideburn trimmer built in to back Nice fabric case Cons: No charging brick in the box (cable is included) Quick cleaning pod is another replacement purchase

I’ve owned a couple of Norelco shavers in the past and this one does the best job yet. It’s light and comfortable to hold and has a design that lets the heads really float across my face. There are a number of features, mostly intuitive in operation, that should help the shaver adapt to the person as well as the person to the shaver. It’s also the first personal device like this that I’ve seen with its own smartphone app. It’s easy to connect using Bluetooth, lets you know how you are doing with shaving, and offers suggestions on technique. Overall this product seems to be targeted to someone who might be a new convert from shaving with a blade. As I’ve been shaving electrically for at least 20 years I didn’t find any of this particularly useful, but it would not be a reason to stay away from buying it; it gives a great shave! There is a popup trimmer similar to the one on my old shaver. Another nice accessory is the carrying case. This will make it easy for traveling. The included cleaning pod is also something new to me. Looking at the directions it is very straightforward to use but not it’s clear how long a pod refill will last in regular use. I haven’t had it long enough to try it out, but it’s definitely an interesting and potentially useful feature. One thing that in my opinion is a step backwards is that they do not include a charger – just a cable with a USB-A connector. A lot of recent smartphones are also going in this direction. I guess the assumption is that most people have existing charging blocks or charging outlets, but this might not always be the case. My recent devices use USB-C and I had to dig around to find an older charger to use.

    Convenient Clean Shave

The new Philips Norelco shaver has been a wonderful addition to my every other day grooming routine. I have sensitive, easily irritated skin and like to keep my neck clean shaven to well differentiate my beard line. My facial hair is thick and shaving has always been a dreaded maintenance chore of mine. In the past I have gotten razor burn or irritation with going for a close shave, so I tend to avoid it. This razor has changed this, making me more apt to keep up with my shaving. There was slight irritation with first use, but even with the second noticed less irritation. In theory, for sensitive skin it may take up to 2-4 weeks to adjust to a new razor but I can already see my skin adjusting well. The razor can be used wet or dry, I typically prefer dry and then take a shower afterwards. Will at times use a pre-shave but typically I like to have the mirror to see my trim. There are “steelprecision” named blades with a revolving head. Having these brand name blades, truthfully does seem to make a difference in this case, given high quality of the cut, ultimately avoiding razorburn with the additional Nano SkinGlide coating. Shaving power is modified during use, I have personally not noticed too much modification, but this is a smart feature built in. The razor has a rechargeable battery with up to 60-min of shaving. I have been able to do over a week-work of shaving on one charge which is greatly appreciated. Another convenient element of this razor is the quick clean pod. The pod cleans and lubricates the razor with the single touch of a button. And honestly, with other razors I just avoid cleaning them (which I recognize is not good practice). I typically do my shaving routine over the sink, but because this razor is showerproof you can also shave in there if desires, making the wet shave even easier. There are replaceable blade/heads to the razor, of course, this is recommended and a great feature to have to avoid weardown. Overall, I am very pleased with this newly launched razor from Philips and definitely recommend it. Some minor irritation, but no cuts or ingrown hairs yet, so a happy camper here!

I have tried to use electric razors over the years and had very little success with a obtaining a close shave, being easy to clean, or versatile enough to use while I’m in the shower. When I saw this new model from Philips Norelco I decided it was time to give it one more try. Right out of the box I was excited to get charged up and put it through its paces … except … there is no wall plug for you to charge with. It seems so many personal care devices these days have moved to USB cables - except none of them seem to be compatible with anything else. Once i dug an old phone charger out of the junk drawer I was back in business. After a quick charge it was time to shave! For such a simple device, there’s a lot going on with the display. I highly recommend taking at least a quick glance at the instruction manual to understand all the blinking and different colored lights. One unique feature I discovered quickly is that the device critiques your shaving technique - circular motion only. If you don’t do this well, your shave won’t get close enough and an indicator light will let you know you’re doing it wrong. If you want to get deeper into this, there is a companion app where you can learn more about your shaving patterns and other helpful insights. I didn’t find it absolutely necessary, but in the era of connected devices it was a nice touch. I’m a few days in now and my face is acclimating to the electric razor very well. The unit is super easy to clean using the included quick clean pod, or a single button eject for the head covers to rinse out in the shower. All things considered, I think this is a great electric shaver for the money and it will likely be the one I stick with since it meets all my needs.

The Phillips Norelco Shaver 7600 with Sense IQ technology, is one of the best electric razors that money can buy. With 360 degree contour heads, steel precision blades, and Nano Skin glide coating, the Razor does what is says, it glides across my face nice and smooth. My razor came with a cleaning solution, and a cleaning pod that is powered by the razor's internal battery. A quick 1 minute cycle and the razor is cleaned and ready to go again like new. The head of the razor clicks open with an easy to use button to empty out the hair clippings, and a small cleaning brush was included for brushing away the stubborn hairs that might try sticking in the corners. Also included is a really nice hard case for bringing your razor with you when you travel. The razor comes with instructions to connect it via Blue tooth to the Phillips Groom Tribe app which can monitor your shaves, keep track of the motions you use when using your razor, and recommend ways to improve the quality of the shave. It also comes with helpful beard grooming suggestions, as well as a variety of other mens health articles and helpful hints. The razor comes with it's own proprietary USB cable for charging, which is one of the things I don't like about it. I'd much perfer a standard USB C connection. And the other thing I don't like is the included flip out trimmer that is supposed to be used to trim mustaches and sideburns etc. I found that the arm is flimsy/floppy and will try to fold back up unless used just right, and that the arm itself is to short, so when I'm trying to use the trimmer in the mirror, the head of the shaver is in the way and I can't see what I'm doing. It would also be nice if the cleaning pod had a lit that could be put on it for travel purposes or so I could put it away inside a drawer and not have to worry about it spilling.
