Didn’t realize it was a USB chargeable toothbrush . Wouldn’t have chose this. Just one more charger to purchase making the cheap toothbrush cost double when factored in.

I purchased this for my mom and although being lightweight was a selling point she's used to a bigger, heavier toothbrush and thought this one seemed flimsy. She returned it.

I have owned many Sonicare brushes in the past. I was very intrigued when I saw the price tag of this one. Especially since in the past you couldn’t get a Sonicare brush for under $150. This one is definitely a budget-minded version. But I am here to tell you that you get just as good of a clean with this brus than you do with the $200 models. It feels like the motor is a bit weaker than the more expensive models, but you still get the sonic pulses which is most important when cleaning your teeth. Upon opening the package, you see it’s a very barebones kit. You get the brush handle, 1 brush head, and a charging base with USB cable. Note: you will have to have a USB brick to plug it into since one is not included. ….and that’s it! They definitely tried to make this the most affordable, easy to use brush out there. There is literally only one button on it. You press it to start, every 30 seconds you will get a little pulse letting you know to switch to the next quadrant, when you’re done you shut it off. Its as simple as that. If you’re someone that gets confused, has a hard time understanding technology, or just don’t want to deal with a bunch of bells and whistles, this brush is for you! They claim 2 weeks of battery life with brushing twice a day and I found that to be pretty accurate. Overall, I have been very impressed with this brush. Its affordable, does a great job, and has good battery life. If you’re looking for a big step up from a manual toothbrush you would be hard pressed to find something as affordable that works better. Give it a try, you’ll be happy you did!

I have tried several power toothbrushes over the years and this is the best one yet. It is powerful, but comfortable to hold. I appreciate not needing to change batteries. The charger is a very small round base and it fits compactly on my sink. . This was a very well designed toothbrush and not too large to hold. The head of the brush is large enough to do the job, yet compact enough to reach all areas of my mouth..

Pulses are way too strong for an electric toothbrush. I prefer adjustable.

Hi, thanks for your review regarding your Philips Sonicare 1100. We are sorry to hear that the pulses are currently too strong for your personally and hope we can help improve your brushing experience! Could you check if your Sonicare toothbrush has the Easy-Start feature activated, as this feature will gently increase the power over the first 14 brushings to help you get used to brushing with the Philips Sonicare toothbrush. You can follow these steps to check the feature has been activated:
      1. Put the handle on the plugged-in charger.
      2. Press and hold the power on/off button while the handle remains on the charger.
3 Keep the power on/off button pressed until you hear a single short beep (after 3 seconds).
4 Release the power on/off button.
Triple tone of low-med-high means the Easy-start feature has been activated.
      We hope this suggestion helps!

Great Clean, USB Powered, Travel Friendly

I have never used a Philips Sonicare toothbrush before, normally I use their main competitor in the electric toothbrush category. After a few times using this, I am now a convert to Philips. Using the Sonicare I definitely noticed a different sound and sensation when cleaning, the "sonic" sound you can definitely hear and it had a different mouth feel than what I am used to - which Philips must know because p10 of the manual says that after 14 brushes the power will increase (p14 says you can bypass this) which I tried and didn't notice any real difference. In the box are the Philips Sonicare toothbrush, the USB charging dock, and a brush head (with travel cover). There is no USB plug, you can charge with any but Philips recommends an IPX4 USB charger. IPX4 is rated for splashes. If you don't have a plug, you can contact Philips and I think they send you one - but I like it as is because I think this makes an excellent travel electric toothbrush. The Philips Sonicare is light, even the charging dock is light, and I would have no issue throwing this in an overnight bag and knowing I can charge it anywhere in the world because USB is universal. I love the mouthfeel after a clean and it feels better than a brand I have used for years, so I would recommend this PS. The manual says this is rated for 14 days before needing a charge (14 days, twice a day brushing). I haven't verified this, but I would typically charge my brush every day.

I’ve been using an electric toothbrush for a number of years, so I’m always ready to try a new one. I opened up the Philips Sonicare 1100 and found the toothbrush, a brush head, and charging base. This charger has a USB/A end, so the buyer must have a power adapter available. I have quite a few, so no biggie. I didn’t expect one at this price point. I charged up the toothbrush and gave it a go. I really like it. The powerhead is narrow and doesn’t feel bulky when brushing the back of my molars. I like the 2-minute auto-shutoff. The unit itself is light and easy to handle. It seems to work very well as my teeth felt clean after brushing. As for dislikes. The powerhead replacements seem a bit pricey when I search for them online. I’ll have to do a better search and see if I can find a deal. The other negative was the free powerhead offer. The inserted card makes it sound like if you register the brush, you’ll get a free one, but that’s not the case. You have to register and sign up for auto replacements and I hate anything that automatically replenishes my needs and charges my credit card without me authorizing it at that moment. So, no free brush for me. Other than that, it’s a well-made, inexpensive toothbrush and I’ll probably use it until this brush head wears out…unless I find some inexpensive replacements.

When i switched from Oral B to sonicare, i actually never looked back and its been a few years since i have started using sonicare toothbrush and every model has outperformed in every way. whenever i head to the dentist, he always recommend sonicare toothbrush because they are gentle on the enamel and yet be able to be tough on the tartar and plaque. This model is probably on the lower end but it performs as good as the high end ones and there is no need to buy an expensive one and this one suffices. The toothbrush has a 14 day battery life, comes with charger and the battery life actually lasts very close to it. There is a timer for 2 minutes which is great for kids who want to brush quickly and run... The bristles are a little expensive but you can always buy generic ones! I love sonicare!

The value this thing has is amazing. I have a an older Sonicare that is still going strong, this is slimmer, works identically to mine, and fits the exact same heads. I especially love the charger stand is powered by USB A, making this a great extended on the go toothbrush. It doesn’t come with a travel case though. The bad part is that the charging brick isn’t included so you may have to share with your phones or buy a separate one. The battery has lasted several days and is still going strong. If you are looking for a no frills electric toothbrush that gets the job done this is it, especially as the heads are really easy to find. Pros: -Replacement heads are easy to find -Charging stand uses a USB port to charge -Long battery life -Provides a really clean feeling for your teeth Cons: -Charging brick not included.

I like this since it brushes my teeth and has the essentials. It pulses to remind me to spend 30 seconds on each quadrant of my teeth. Then a double pulse when I am done. The battery has gone all week and not needed a charge. It is very lightweight. The inly cons are that you only have one speed. When you set it down to charge it makes a pulse and beep. Would definitely recommend this since it has all the basic requirements for a electric toothbrush.

    Simple, Still Great

It’s incredible the number of Sonicare models. It must be overwhelming to select the “right” one. The main function – brushing your teeth – works the same, no matter the model. There are differences though. Some do other jobs such as gum massage, timer for every different function you select, and so on. For this HX3641/02 model, it does the basic, but way better than any manual and most electric toothbrushes out there, even for simple functions such as just brushing your teeth. One of the most interesting features is the 30-second QuadPacer. This feature is in most if not all newer Sonicare models, but I was surprised to see it here because this one is not among the high-end models. And because its battery lasts about two weeks, it is a perfect companion for travel or work. That’s what I’m going to use it for since I already have another one with more features. Philips always reminds consumers that Sonicare it is the most recommended brand by dentist. This is not just marketing gimmick. Good for them but even better for consumers. Sonicare is that good and I can attest that from my own experience. Years ago, I started to have some gum issues and after my dentist recommended Sonicare, the issue went away for good. The only downside to this model is that it doesn’t come with a USB charger. On the upside, it can be charged with USB and I have plenty of chargers around, including my computer.

Phillips Has Another Great Sonicare Toothbrush

The Sonicare 1100 is a small toothbrush in the 1000 series. In the package you get the 1100 toothbrush, protective cap for brush head, brush head, and USB charging base. Unfortunately, Phillips didn’t include a travel case and didn't include an AC to USB charge adapter. Charging is simple. Plug the USB A connector into a power source and set the toothbrush on the base and it will begin to charge. The 1100 is a little smaller than my previous Sonicare which is good as I will be using this one as my travel toothbrush. It does fit in the Sonicare travel case that came with my previous toothbrush. It also comes with a C1 brush head. I haven’t had to charge the toothbrush since the initial charge, but so far, its been working great. The motor is just as powerful as my previous one. A few features are the option to set the intensity, Quad Pacer, and Smart Timer. Phillips continues to make great toothbrushes with the 1100 being in the series. I can’t say enough about how good my experiences have been with Sonicare toothbrushes. I would recommend them to everyone.

I enjoy using this sonic brush. its basic but works great. I am a little disappointed that it did not come with a case. it does not say it included one but still wish it had one. I also am not sure why they would make the end of the charging dock a usb type a plug. why not just a regular plug. This would not bother me too much, but they also don't include a block. outside of those things, like I said, it's very basic. one light to let you know if you are charging it. it has some detailed directions on how to use. basically, barely put pressure on teeth and let the brush do all the work. it has 2 modes for speed. but also has a beginner mode so when you first use it for the first couple weeks it starts at a lower power mode and slowly increases. then after that you can change between 2 modes. the brush will also auto shut off after 2 minutes. not a fan for this, I rather have it beep, or maybe turn off and then back on or something to let you know it's been 2 min instead of just shut off. but not the hardest to turn back on if you need too. it comes with 1 brush head. it can hurt a bit if you are brushing and catch the plastic part of the brush head on your teeth. overall, though, I feel refreshed and more so using this then just a brush. if you are thinking about using a sonic toothbrush, I recommend using them.

A really good electric tooth brush! I've used a few of the cheap competitor electric brushes over the years, and nothing can clean quite like this. BUT for those who have never used a Sonicare type brush, it kinda feels like a mild version of the terrifying cleaning implements at your dentist... So if you can handle that mild brain buzzing/rattling, you'll have epically clean teeth!

This works pretty well for a basic electric toothbrush. The head is a bit hard to get on correctly, however. This only comes with one brush head and no power brick to charge. There is something in the box about sending off to get a power brick. So due to that and only one brush head, this gets 4/5 stars. This is like a bare bones starter pack.
