The difference between this and a regular toothbrush is unreal. Make sure you buy the extended warranty from Best Buy. This was a replacement under the warranty. Other one stopped charging after two years. Within 10 minutes of walking into best buy they gave me a new one free of charge and let me purchase a new warranty for the replacement.

Brush great. Charging cup dumb, case no charge

So, this is my third brush, so I obviously like the product. It keeps my gums healthy, with 2 to 3 mm margins all around (your hygienist will know). The second button to select function is a good change, but the drop-in-the-cup-to-charge feature is just flat out dumb and looks stupid on my counter. Did anyone in marketing have any good data on this?--because I am still verklempt over this. I kept my old charge stand, much neater. Then, the travel case doesn't have charge capability built in any more (travel being the reason I have more than one), so I have to keep my old case. So, I kind of have better functionality in my PRIOR version, but if you've never had one before, then it's still worth the buy, although more value based choices would still be sufficient. Overall, I still love Philips and this brush, but I think some people in marketing need to be transferred elsewhere.

I think my really old Sonicare worked better. The brush I have on is hard. Maybe the other two brushes that came with it are softer. I prefer not tho have it in a glass for charging but I knew that when I bought it. It is a nice looking tooth brush. It does clean well.

I was looking for a new electric toothbrush and picked this up at Christmas time. It works great and I really enjoy all the bells and whistles it comes with. The only complaint I have is that you need to charge it by putting it in like a glass, which is kind of unusual. Other than that, I'd highly recommend this product.

Sonic Care was kind enough to send a replacement, unfortunately it was also dead on arrival. First one the metal shaft became loose and the replacement wouldn’t charge. They take 7 days to send a replacement. When I called to inform them the replacement also didn’t work, they told me I need to let it charge for 24 hours. Ok cool but wouldn’t it light up and show it charging like the other exact same model does in the exact same charger? Apparently not. Moral of the story buy a replacement plan for best buy if you purchase this product. It works great, when it works

Case does NOT recharge the toothbrush

Don’t buy if you’re wanting it to travel with. The case that comes with it only carries the toothbrush and a brush. You’ll have to schlep along the glass charger in order to charge it despite the fact the manual shows the bottom of the case opening. It does not. I wish I had discovered this before it was too late to return it. If you want the rechargeable case you have to buy the more expensive model. No thanks. I’ll manually brush my teeth from now on.

      Hi there,

thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry to hear that you're disappointed with the travel case of your DiamondClean 9300 Series. Indeed, the travel case for this model is only designed to hygienically store the brush handle and brush head when you're on the go. As of this moment, charging on the go is only available for the DiamondClean 9700 series. We apologize if this was perhaps unclear in the advertisment. We will take note of your feedback, however, to improve our products and services in the future.

If you have any questions or concerns in the future, please feel free to get in touch via social media. We’re available 24/7 on Facebook (https://bit.ly/3yBQ1qb) and Twitter (@PhilipsCare). Alternatively, you can reach out to us via the contact page on our website. One of our colleagues will then try their best to help you further.

      Kind regards,

How it fares against original DiamondClean

Simply put,if you are thinking that this is oririginal diamond clean with added smartness, its NOT. It seems like a different product to me. Few big cons first, Original Diamondclean is more heavy cleaner than this, this does not have a setting as high as that. So if you are using that, this will feel like, going easy on your mouth. It does not charge with your existing wireless charging glass, which is a shame as they look identical. I tried but there is some difference which makes them incompatible. Why Phillips Why? Travel case of original Phillips is better made, solid feeling case. This one feels a little filmsy in comparison. I could throw the old case anywhere in my suitcase and not worry. This one I need to test. Now if you are still interested in it after these two negatives, lets see the positives. Smart is good, I have been suing diamond clean for close to 2 years, and yet with smart I figured that many times, I miss a certain side at a certain portion in my mouth. If you want to see your kids are brushing correctly or not, you can monitor them.(Will you spend this much money is up to you) I do not think smart does anything else right now, but that can change as the adaption increases. It does communicates with the brush head and remind you that you need to replace it. Another positive is that it now intervals in 20 seconds for six times, unlike last one which used to do 30 secs for 4 times. So Phillips make this a little less powerful than the original diamond clean, added some smart capability, made the charging glass incompatible. I guess they are aiming this product for new customers in electiric brush market, not towards existing diamondclean owner.
