However, I guess my expectations were that it would be more of a brushing sensation and it’s not. It is very similar to the new way that dentists clean your teeth using the ultrasonic probe. I do not like that feeling at the dentists office but I leave with a feeling that my teeth are very clean. With this toothbrush, I had the unpleasant feeling of a sonic probe but didn’t feel as if my teeth were cleaner than a regular toothbrushing. I talked to my dentist and he told me that these aren’t any better than the old fashioned way.

Wonderful but gets dirty underneath
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using these Sonicare Essence toothbrushes for the past 10 years, and have loved how they leave my teeth so clean, but I don't love how they accumulate black stuff under the brush head if not cleaned regularly. Being screw-on, they're annoying to unscrew to dry out after every use. The snap-on brush heads stay cleaner from this perspective, but have other issues as well (see my review for the Series 2). Anyway, they all have the same 31,000 brush strokes per minute, which is the most important thing for breaking up plaque. Everything else is just cosmetic, so I just try to buy the most basic handle I need to save money.

I used to cheat and do a quick brush. It takes a few days to get used to the time, after that easy peas you. I had to laugh about the battery life. Due to circumstances I had to store some items with a friend for example years. I unpacked it and it was still charged. 2 days. Hah.
