I love the portability of it.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love that this thing is battery operated and portable. Also, it charges with a USB C cable so I don’t need to remember a charger since my phone also USB C. I wouldn’t say this has the highest pressure, but it gets the job done and at least for me is the only way I can consistently floss. There are three different pressure settings and I’ve left it on the highest since I got it. It comes with two picks one that is traditional and has a higher-pressure output but the other one seems to do a better job, so I’ve stuck with the purple one. I would say the one drawback is that there isn’t an auto off, or at least one fast enough for me. The water tank holds almost exactly four 15second times worth of water, so I figured it would shut off after the last one. That is where the almost comes into play, it splashed water on me and the mirror, annoying and made me realize that I need to turn it off after I’m done. Other than that, I love that this thing is easy to pack and easy to use. Pros: - USB C charging - Battery operated - Multiple water pressure settings - Easy to use - 2 different heads - Battery seems to last for some time Cons: - Doesn’t automatically shut off after four 15second rounds when container is basically empty

Philips Sonicare 3000
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What is in the box Cordless Power Flosser Standard Nozzle Quad Stream Nozzle USB Adapter Type C USB cable Manual This unit comes with a 2-year warranty. The manual goes into depth on the proper use of the device. There are 3 power settings, and you can switch between clean and deep clean. The clean mode provides a constant stream of water. With the Pacer function on the pressure will pause every 15 seconds telling you its tine to move to the next section. The deep clean mode provides strong and gentle pulses for a thorough clean. A brief pause every 15 seconds tells you it's time to move to the next space. There are two methods of filling the reservoir. Twist and detach the reservoir and use the big opening or lift the flip top on the side of the reservoir and fill the small opening. The battery should last about 25 minutes. The use of this device is easier than the sink top models. With the three power levels you can pick the one that’s just right for you. The nozzle can be adjusted for ease of aim. I like the brief pause with the pacer function. The Pacer can be turned off by following the instructions in the manual. I would recommend the Philips Sonicare 3000 to family and friends.

What All Flossers Should Be
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very biased towards all Sonicare line of Philips products. I have never been disappointed. They’re simple to use. They are very effective. And it’s probably the most recommended brand by dentists. This Sonicare flosser is no exception. Flossing is good, but water flossing is the holy grail. It has been shown in clinical trials many times over that it not only cleans your teeth, but also protects and strengthens your gums, preventing gingivitis, for instance. This flosser works great with either nozzle. I had used this type before, so I had no problem with it, but for first timers, please be aware that you could spill water everywhere, including your bathroom mirror and clothes. The good news is that once you get used to it, you will probably never think of flossing any other way. I do like that you can stop/start the flow using just the wand. That’s a handy feature, especially for newbies. Previous types I used, required to reach out to the main unit where the water tank is. Not this Sonicare model. Maybe I could say a lot more, like how clean my mouth feels, and so on, but it is Sonicare. If you know this brand, you know it is worth more than the money you pay.

Effective, Comfortable
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Phillips Sonicare Power Flosser 3000 Cordless is a very effective easy to use flosser. It is small enough to fit in your hand comfortably, yet it holds an adequate amount of water once you become proficient using it. It comes with 2 flossing heads. One has a single flow of water and one is a quad head which has 4 jets of water covering a wider area of your teeth. I prefer the single flow head which was easier for me to direct to a specific area. Also included is a wall adapter and a USB A to USB C cable. It is easy to use and holds a charge for 2 weeks. Filling the tank with water is easy and can be accomplished by either opening a valve or by removing the tank. The overall design is very good, however I have had one issue. The power button is way too sensitive and it's located where your fingers grip the device. I have accidentally turned it on and off numerous times. Sometimes hitting myself in the face or spraying around the bathroom. I also wish that a travel case was included.

Works well
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will start this review by saying that I have very sensitive gums as well as cold and hot sensitivity on my teeth. So, this review is mainly for people who may be suffering from these same symptoms and what they can expect from this device. Out of the box you can tell it is a very quality product, I would expect nothing less from Sonicare. The build quality is great, using very thick plastics to give it a solid feel in your hand. The controls are also very easy to operate, and as always, Sonicare uses very minimal controls to make it easy for everyone to use. Its very easy to pop on the desired tip (it comes with 2 different ones included) and its also very easy to refill the bottle. You can either unscrew the top or there is also a little latch on the bottle that you can open and refill it without taking the top off. Here comes the first problems I had with the device. I wish there was some kind of lock feature so that even if you press the power button the unit won’t turn on. Often times when I was filling it, I would accidentally hit the power on button and it would start spraying water all over the place. You have to be very careful when handling or unscrewing the top or this will happen. Once I got that figured out there really is only one other control and that’s to set the pressure, I guess you’d call it. There are 3 different levels that you push one button for and it cycles through them. The level is indicated by 1, 2, or 3 lights. As stated, before I have sensitive teeth with cold/hot sensitivity. I also have a hard time flossing the regular way because my gums bleed very easily. That’s why I thought this would be a great alternative to traditional flossing. I found it very hard to get a water temperature that didn’t bother my teeth. Either too cold, or too hot and it was very hard to get it just right. Once I was able to get the right temperature, I found that the device worked well at getting things out from around my gums and in between my teeth. If you have sensitive spots on your teeth, be prepared to experience a little pain though when you spray them. I had to use the lowest setting, because at the higher ones it was a little painful to use. One other thing to be aware of is that this thing is continually spraying water in your mouth for a minute so you have to simultaneously spit out the water while using the device. It does pulse every 15 seconds to let you know to switch to a different quadrant of your mouth. I think it would have been better to have it go for 15 seconds then stop to allow you to spit out the water, then push the start button again to continue to the next quadrant. That way all that water wouldn’t be building up in your mouth. So, just be prepared that its going to make a mess when you are using it and you’ll have to be bent over the sink to avoid getting water everywhere. You pretty much get 1 use out of 1 tank full of water so you’ll have to fill it each time you want to use it. The device itself is also pretty large and won’t fit in most cabinets or drawers easily. So be prepared to have it sitting out on your countertop. With the spray head on, it is 12 inches tall. Overall, it’s a great concept and is very effective at spraying things out from in between your teeth and around your gums. I wouldn’t recommend it if you have a lot of sensitivity though. If you can deal with a little water splashing around it would be a great option for you.

effective cordless water flosser
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Philips Sonicare Power Flosser 3000 Cordless uses water and a bit of pressure to clean the spaces between your teeth and gums. It is very similar to anther well know product which had the majority of market share with this type of dental hygiene appliance. Being cordless provides an additional level of flexibility as you use It without a power connection. In a general sense this unit does an excellent job of cleaning your teeth without the hassle of floss and the irritation it can cause (and sometimes get stuck in the gaps). Using water makes this process much easier. This unit has three power or pressure modes, gentle, medium and full. A few observations, the unit cleans your teeth well, however I found myself needing to till the reservoir twice, once for the top and bottom teeth. Using this is pretty easy but caution it can get very messy trying complete a full cleaning session over the sink. Others have suggested that since this is wireless it may make sense to try to use it in the shower. I usually don’t practice dental hygiene in the shower, but perhaps it is the key to avoiding making a mess. In any case I found this device useful and a good tool to have in your dental care toolbox. Pros: - Like the three power modes - Cleans in between teeth very well - Better than traditional floss that can shred and become stuck in between teeth - Quick cleaning cycle does a good job in a minimal amount of time. Cons: - Messy, gets water everywhere - I found you need to fill water tank twice during a cleaning session: bottom and top teeth - Clothing gets soaked

Easy to use Water Flosser
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked this up for my wife, since I have a Philips 3000 water flosser that I like and she's been wanting one that was portable. She's used this for about a week now and really, really likes it. For starters, she like that it has a timing feature to let her know when to switch areas of the mouth (15 sec per), so that way it makes knowing you've hit every area a piece of cake. There's an option for regular clean and another for deep clean, which is nice. She liked deep clean because it takes a little break so you can move from tooth to tooth as needed. Another nice feature is that it has a rechargeable battery instead of using a handful of double A's like some other portable water flossers. It comes with a USB cable and power brick, so you can use it in a regular / GFCI outlet if you don't have a newer one that has a standard USB-A port. That said, because there's a rechargeable battery in there, you're not supposed to use this in the shower. It's not certified as water proof and my wife wisely decided not to test her ability to withstand a shock just to clean her teeth while taking a shower. If you've never used a water flosser before, I'd recommend using warmer water. Colder water can hurt if you're not prepared for it. Luckily, we live in Texas where even cold water comes out of the tap at room temperature. For cleaning, a nice feature is that you can clean the reservoir in dishwasher's top rack. The instructions say to use mild soap and water, or dishwasher. For cleaning the actual flosser attachments, you need to use vinegar and water. I don't think those are dishwasher safe and we haven't tried. It also has instructions for dealing with orthodontics. Because it's a portable one and doesn't require a base like mine, it doesn’t take up too much space on her counter - which is nice since space is a premium. She's flossed everyday since she opened it and highly recommends it if you're looking for a good water flosser.

Very Handy!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've tried a few different water flossers and so far this is the best of them. I've tried a stationary flosser. It works fine, but is loud and surprisingly messy. Another cordless flosser was slimmer, but didn't hold much. The Sonicare is much quieter than I expected, which was pleasantly surprising; and the reservoir is well sized - but not too big. It holds enough water to perform a quick cleaning - about 60-90 seconds it says - and gives a short feedback to let you know when to move from different quadrants. The reservoir does make the flosser a bit bulky at the bottom, but the upper part of the flosser can detach, making the reservoir much easier to fill. However there's also a small cap on the reservoir so that you can fill it without detaching. This was a very nice addition. The cleaning, itself, is fairly basic; with a few different strengths to fit your preferences...and the flosser performed well. It got out food particles that I missed during brushing. Also, I'm happy Philips chose to include a charging adapter and cable - USB-C instead of the old micro-USB. Aside from the slightly awkward holding, which may be problematic for people with smaller hands, the only other thing I would ding it for is that the flosser only comes with two replacement nozzles; however one of them is a "Quad Stream" nozzle that breaks the water flow into 4 jets. I'm not yet sure if it's as good as advertised.

I really like this thing...
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been looking into these for a while and finally got this one. I'm not completely certain it's better than flossing, but after several uses, I definitely feel like it works well. There are two different heads and multiple settings including deep cleaning. This thing is really messy though. So much so that I tend to use it in the shower as opposed to over the bathroom sink. There is a built-in timer that vibrates after 15 seconds and lets you know when to go on to your next row of teeth. This is a great feature and the vibration is strong and then there is a brief pause, which could be a little longer, to let you know to go to the next row. The only real negative thing I can say about this is I wish the water reservoir was a little bigger. I can barely get through and entire regular cleaning, but I certainly cant get through a deep clean without having to pause to refill it. A slightly larger reservoir would solve that problem, but at the expense of adding some weight. I am very happy with this so far and I'm sure I will get some good usage out of it.

Really cleans in between teeth well
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first day I had this unit I got a great amount of enjoyment out of learning how to use it. Lets put it this way - I was soaked from the neck down to my waist. The trick - don't look in the mirror - close your mouth around the unit, otherwise you'll wear more water than gets on your teeth or in your mouth! I then handed it to my wife to try it and got to have the enjoyment of watching her make the same mistakes I did! This unit is great because it's portable. We do a bit of cruising and travelling throughout the year and it's nice to have this with us without being worried about being tethered to a water source. Seems extremely well built, but then again we didn't drop it on the floor so I can't say how it will stand up if dropped on a hard bathroom floor - only time will tell! What I can say without hesitation is that each time I've used it , my mouth felt like I just walked out of the dentist's office - extremely fresh and clean. It makes me wish I had gotten one much sooner ! Great job Phillips !

Great power flosser!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Phillips Power Flosser is great! Right out of the package, it had to charge, not a big deal. After it was charged I attempted to put one of the heads into the power flosser, and after paying very close attention to the instructions on how to insert the head into the unit I was able to do so (Feels like you're going to break it but you won't). After I got the head into the unit I realized just how easy it was to use. First you fill the item up with water just as the instructions state to do, then you insert the item into your mouth and (This is very important) and then turn it on. If you turn it on prior to having the item in your mouth, you're going to make a huge mess with the water. While it was entertaining watching water spray everywhere, I don't suggest turning it on prior to inserting it into your mouth. The upkeep of the item was very easy, and simple to understand. Overall I have no complaints about the item, It's small, portable, charges very quickly and was so easy to set up and use.

Use in Shower | Dentist Approved
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s unwieldy, no argument there. I found the best solution is to just keep it in the shower and use it there. At least until you become a pro using it. Its like a pressure washer for your mouth! After using for a week i had a annual teeth cleaning and the dental hygienist said, “Whatever you are doing, keep doing it. Your gums haven’t bled once, I’m impressed.”

Great for good dental hygiene
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Flossing is an important part of good oral hygiene. It helps to remove plaque and bacteria from between your teeth. Flossing can also help to keep your gums healthy. Unfortunately, I've always been terrible about this dental hygiene task. Brushing has never been a problem. I just can't get in the habit of adding in flossing. My dentist recommended that I try to use a water flosser so this cordless power flosser from Sonicare seemed like a good option for me. The assembly of the flosser was minimal. The main body was already put together and all I had to do was add the nozzle that I wanted to use, charge it, and fill the reservoir with water. The flosser had some charge out of the box, but I did plug it in for a little while before using it for the first time. The flosser comes with an illustrated quick start guide which was really helpful to me as I tried to figure out the best placement for the nozzles on my teeth. I filled the reservoir with water and hit the on button. Water shot out and I felt that it cleaned between my teeth pretty well. I'm not sure if it did as good of a job as standard floss, but it was definitely better than not doing anything at all. The flosser is easy to use but I wish it had a little more power behind it.
