    There's a bit if a learning curve

The Philips Sonicare Power Flosser 3000 is quite the handy-dandy dental tool. It comes with everything you need to get those teeth and gums back in shape. I’ve found that the single stream “nozzle” is the easiest to manipulate, and even that, for me, needed to be only turned up to just under half pressure. Using the quad attachment turned out to be rather comical at first. I found I could water all the plants in the house at the same time I was flossing. The cat didn’t really…never mind. Just wish I’d had the Go-Pro turned on…. Anyway, this Power Flosser 3000 really is something to consider when wanting to improve your dental hygiene. And that quad attachment does work — but there is a bit of a learning curve and the water reservoir empties quickly. By the way, I like using a solution of about 4:1, water to mouthwash, in the reservoir. Then I follow up with a good full-strength swish-and-spit to top things off. I also figure that because of where I live, it would probably be a good idea to run some white vinegar through the system every month or so to combat hard water scale buildup. I think this is a worthwhile investment.

    Teeth Never Felt So Clean

Philips Sonicare Power Flosser 3000 is a must have for dental hygiene. It is my first foray in an electric flosser and what a great experience it has been. My teeth and gums feels so much cleaner after using it that I am not sure how I have lived without it. For me the biggest struggle was deciding the best way to use it to minimize the mess. I found closing my mouth around it while flossing my teeth in sections and then spitting was the best way to do it. So I split my teeth into quadrants and complete a quadrant and spit out the water collected. I started off on the lowest setting and have found I am running it now at about half full power now that I have used it a week or so. It can definitely hurt to use if you have very sensitive teeth or gums, but thankfully it can be turned way down to allow just about anyone but the most sensitive to use. My only real complaint is that I wish the water reservoir was a bit a bigger. I am finding I have to fill it about every third use. While it is super easy and quick to fill it would still be nice if it were a bit bigger. Overall, I love the Power Flosser 3000 and can easily recommend it.

This water flossed is excellent. It cleans very well and has a variety of settings for how strong the water shoots out. And it’s fast; takes about a minute to do the job. I got it at a fantastic price.

The Power Flosser 3000 exceeded my expectations. I appreciate the two different cleaning methods, regular and deep cleaning. The instructions were easy to understand and thorough. I finally learned how to keep the hose clean.

I don’t really like this unit. I’m not sure if it’s specific to this particular flosser or flossers in general, but I’d rather just manually floss than use this thing. First of all, the wall wart is huge. See the attached picture where I compare the size to my wedding ring. I don’t know if Philips couldn’t build the power supply into the base of the unit because of some kind of code regulation since it’s being used in a wet environment or if there was some other reason but, regardless, it’s too big and takes up too much space on precious bathroom outlets. Next, you basically have to keep your mouth closed when using it otherwise you’ll splash water everywhere and make a huge mess (my wife did this the first time she tried using it). Since your mouth is closed, you can’t see what you’re doing. If you’re used to manually flossing and seeing each individual tooth, this is a huge adjustment to have to make. Probably most important, though, is that I just don’t feel like the flosser actually does anything. That is, I don’t feel like it’s actually cleaning between my teeth. In fact, after using the flosser, I still have been manually flossing to make sure I don’t actually make my teeth/gums worse!

Thank God I saved my box. Started leaking within a month. I have used a water pik for 43 years . First time to try Philips product. The container to hold the water wasn't enough to clean all my teeth and I had to refill. I wasn't hoping to like it.
