Upon plugging it in and attempting to turn it on - no power. Beyond that the design is as boneheaded as you could make it - the power cable plugs into the bottom of the unit and they placed holes in two places at the top so what do you think happens when you try to lift the unit to troubleshoot when it's full of water? Either way water's getting wasted, but I was trying to avoid having to pour it all out as I just filled it. Seems like quality for Philips oral care products are getting worse and worse. Last two toothbrushes made it just beyond the warranty period before they stopped functioning properly and now this unit is DOA.

At low pressure it doesn't feel like it is freeing up anything from my teeth and when I turn it up to a pressure that feels like it will it makes a mess of the bathroom sink with water everywhere. Maybe I need to keep trying different ways to control the spray so I don't get all wet.
