A must have jewel for your teeth gum health
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Philips Sonicare Power Flosser 3000 - White I was introduced to a Philips Sonicare toothbrush a few years ago. I am now where when I get my teeth cleaned it's a pretty quick and painless visit. That toothbrush completely changed a lifetime of long dental visits not to mention how much more healthy my teeth and gums are. I had braces as a kid and used a waterpik. I don’t know why I waited this long to revisit this additional mouth care. The Philips Power Flosser comes very highly recommended. You will benefit if you use this flosser. My experience was once you master keeping the water from making a mess, which for me was to keep my mouth closed, and get your settings right you will feel the difference. I recommend turning down the water pressure while you try each setting. There is no reason to use a lot of pressure. Just start out low and turn it up overtime if you want. Try out the tips as they both work well. If you keep at it and don’t overdo it you are almost certain to improve your teeth and gum health. I don’t know what improvements I will see but in the coming months I do expect it to be helpful. It feels very good after using it now and it doesn’t take very long. My only complaint is I do feel Philips could have used a better quality hose to the handle. It is coiled which is good but it feels a bit cheap. I don’t know how long it will last but I do trust Philips' design decision and honestly for the gains you can get using this flosser and what it costs it's a heck of a value. This is probably one of the easiest to recommend products I have had the pleasure to use.

Very Low Product Reliability
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very disappointed of this product, sleek Industrial Design but poor product reliability. Every day I alternate my oral hygiene with this product and my old WaterPick Flosser (purchased in 2018), The Phillips Power Flosser started to leak water under the base after 8 months of using the product once a day. There's no question about what brand I will buy next.

Only worked for three weeks and can’t return
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked great for 3 weeks. Now it leaks all the water out of the base. Tried all of the trouble shooting and no luck. Took great care of it and it hasn’t been moved from where I originally put it. Can’t return it because neither Best Buy or Phillips wants to stand behind their products.

Defective product leaks after one year.
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have been using for over year and it started leaking decreasing pressure of water. Thus, cleaning with low pressure is inefficient and puts product under category of false advertisement. DO NOT BUY!!!

A quiet water flosser!!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you’re looking for a quiet power flosser, look no further! The Philips Sonicare Power Flosser 3000 is so quiet, no one knew I was using it, which is absolutely remarkable for anyone that’s ever used a power flosser. If you have one, or even live with someone that does, you know full well how they can sound like a mini diesel truck in the bathroom. It didn’t matter what brand or how much you spent, they were all obnoxiously loud, and it felt really weird that in this day and age of tech, no one made a quiet version. It’s the #1 complaint of all power flossers, and it’s funny to me that Sonicare created one, yet doesn’t even talk about how quiet it is in their marketing. It should be the total focus, because no one else offers anything close to this quiet. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not totally silent, but it’s quieter than a loud bathroom fan, which is a huge upgrade for the category in general. No more being embarrassed of using it when guests are over, or thinking it’s too late and not wanting to wake anyone up. And best of all, it’s compact, the water tank comes with a lid, and it flosses great! Designwise, it’s compact and about the size of 2 beer bottles side by side. It doesn’t take up much counter space at all, so there’s still room on your vanity. The tank is good for about one flossing session, which is all you really need. There’s a dial to adjust water pressure, a button to change between clean and deep clean modes, a pause switch on the flosser handle, and of course a power button on the base. I like how the deep clean mode has 3 distinct pulses that helps you time out when to switch between teeth. It reminds me of the haptic feedback electric toothbrushes give when telling you to move to the next area, which leaves your brain free to ponder whatever else is happening in your life. It also comes with 2 nozzles, a direct and a multi-angled one, to switch between a single strong jet stream that’s great for getting between the gums, or the 4 angled one that’s good for rinsing and essentially pressure washing your teeth. Internal cleaning and maintenance is interesting as it’s more like cleaning a humidifier than having to disassemble and rebuild the handle like other flossers. You simply use a mix of vinegar and water to flush out the system, but I guess only time will tell how thorough this is vs a complete disassembly. However, I do know it’s much easier to do and therefore might actually get cleaned more often. The only one thing I wish this and other power flossers came with is a cap to cover the flosser nozzles when not in use. I keep a cap on all my toothbrushes for sanitary reasons and I don’t see why the same shouldn’t apply here. Overall, the Sonicare Power Flosser 3000 is absolutely remarkable for being the quietest power flosser I’ve ever seen, and by a large margin. No more sounding like a freight train is running through the bathroom! Outside of that, it’s well built and very similar to most other conventional power flossers out there. If you currently have a power flosser, or are in the market for one, I highly, highly, highly recommend the Sonicare Power Flosser 3000. Nothing else comes close to being this quiet, which is a total game changer for the category. Great job Philips!

Silent But Healthy
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the Phillips Sonicare Power Flosser 3000 as I'd heard from a number of people in my circle of friends about how great a water flosser was. I've never been a huge fan of flossing for a number of reasons, chief among them my gums never seemed to "toughen up" leading to sore mouth or bleeding after flossing. I hoped that water flossing would be a solution to my oral hygiene woes. The setup was super easy as its just a base with the flosser hose, a tank that sits on top for the water, and two flosser heads: a standard round opening and the new cross stream head. You plug in the base, adjust the pressure, pick up your flosser (the cord seemed plenty long enough for me and I'm 6'5" with a low bathroom counter), and turn it on. I started with the cross stream as it had a rubber end which I thought would allow me a learning curve at how close was too close. I started at minimum pressure and worked up to about midway before I felt like it was comfortable without being over pressured for my tender gums. I went through most of the tank and was done in just a few minutes. The next day I swapped heads and again worked up from minimum to about mid pressure (I may have gone a little lower since the single larger stream seemed to have a bit more umph). I didn't get sore, I didn't bleed, and while I did make a mess since that water has to go somewhere once your mouth is full (either pause to spit periodically, lean over the sink and dribble, or maybe its something you just evolve a solution for after using for a while). Day three I tried the Pulse Wave mode which pulses the water bursts allowing a brief pause telling you to move from the current tooth to the next. I found that Pulse Wave was a good idea but the pause seemed too brief for me to get moved to the next position accurately before it began spraying again. While only time will tell if it was effective for healthier gums I was mistaken in suspecting it would REPLACE flossing. You still need floss the old fashioned way to remove debris between your teeth but the Sonicare Power Flosser 3000 works great for the gum line plaque and buildup. The box calls out its Whisper Quiet technology too and this is no lie, its almost silent until it runs out of water, which isn't likely to happen before you're done. This is a really solid product and if you wear braces this is a MUST BUY since its so much easier and quicker than dealing with the braces flossers of a traditional string variety.

Great for Those That Don't Like to Floss
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Traditional flossing with old school string floss has never been an easy task for me. The string would always break and it always felt so time consuming. This Philips Sonicare Power Flosser makes caring for your gums easier. There are two different heads and a regular clean and deep clean, along with different power settings. It's quick and efficient. It is perfect for getting that extra clean feeling after a brushing and with a quad stream nozzle it covers much more surface than a flossing string ever could. It is large, but that just means it can hold more water in its reservoir giving you a longer cleaning session but it would be nice if it was the same size as a standard electric toothbrush, nevertheless this is the best gum care you're going to get short of going to the dentist.

Best Water Flosser I've Tried
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My dentist suggested I look at getting a home water flossing system, because I hate using regular floss and have to wear a retainer. My dad had an earlier Philips version, so I opted to try this one out. My wife had tried another, battery powered unit from a different brand, so my experience will be comparing and contrasting that. The Philips Power Flosser 3K is your standard water flossing system. The device requires power and does take up a bit of bathroom counter space, so be mindful of that with your setup. The unit itself comes with 2 interchangeable heads: 1 standard water flossing head and another for sensitive gums. The unit has 2 cleaning modes: normal, with a steady pulse, and deep clean with a rapid, short burst pulse. There's an adjustable knob of the device as well so you can keep the water pressure as light as you like or crank it up. The water flosser wand is attached via cord to the base. On the wand itself, you have a slide toggle to start flossing and an eject button to swap cleaning heads. The toggle on the wand was a nice feature because the cordless one my wife had started spraying as soon as you turned it on, which led to more than a few instances of water blasting all over the place. The first time I used it, I immediately noticed how sensitive my teeth were to the colder, focused temperature of the water flosser and my gums actually bled a bit. Over the past week of using it regularly, the bleeding has all but stopped and I now prefer to use this versus the disposable tooth pick option. I've been using the standard water head and my wife's been using the sensitive one. Needless to say, we threw her older, battery powered one out because we like this more.

Works well and simple to use
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Who hasn't heard from their dentist that using a water flosser is highly recommended! It has been my experience that they definitely remove food particles from one's teeth that brushing just can't get. This Sonicare Power Flosser 3000 has all the necessary features to get the job done right. One can choose between Clean and Deep Clean, and adjust the dial to achieve the water pressure intensity that suits individual needs. The Quad Stream, X cross-shaped tip creates four wide streams and does a nice job of cleaning the tooth and gum area. I'm happy with the job that the Power Flosser 3000 does on my teeth and I'm hoping that Sonicare claims of improved gum health and better plaque removal make future dental visits a breeze. If I had to suggest one improvement, it would be to have a somewhat larger water reservoir for convenience.

Easy to use and effective.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really don't like flossing, but this power flosser makes it easy and painless. Its easy to set up and the setting that is most effective for me is clean with the dial at 10. The pulsing water works very well in getting food out from between my crowns without causing the bleeding that flossing with string or a floss pick causes. I will say that having it set at 10 fills my mouth with water quite fast, so using it over a sink as recommended is definitely needed. The water reservoir is large enough to get through all of my teeth with one fill, but I would say the hose could be a little longer. Overall this is a great alternative to flossing and I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

Pressure Washer For Your Mouth
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tired of sticking your fingers in your mouth to work dental floss between your teeth? This water jet flosser is just the ticket. Two tips, the F1 single stream and the F3 quad stream are included. Both work well, I have decided to use the single stream in the morning and quad stream before turning in for the night to get rid of any food particles picked up during daily meals. Water stream is very powerful, I am unable to set the pressure any higher than 6 before gum sensitivity kicks in. A setting of 4 or 5 is perfect for good cleaning in my case. The Deep Clean setting really isn't necessary for me. I remember using a Water Pick growing up, this is a step above and highly recommended.

Good water flosser
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is easy to use and setup, doesn't take up much counter space either. I find myself needing to refill the small water tank twice per use. I would say this works well, but not as well as regular flossing does. You will still need to floss stubborn particles of food and so on. I can see where using this in the morning and evening may help to better stimulate your gums better than regular flossing in my opinion. But I don't see this replacing standard floss anytime soon.

1st power flosser, Happy with it overall
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first experience with a power flosser. I have been using an electric toothbrush for a few years now and when I started using that I definitely noticed my teeth felt cleaner after brushing compared to a normal toothbrush. The power flosser takes this even further. Now even between my teeth I have that clean just from the dentist feeling. This definitely feels like it does a better job than manual flossing and my dentist actually recommended a power flosser as well.
