So, if this is your first electric toothbrush, I have a feeling you will really like it. If you are a previous owner, you will likely appreciate some of the features, but not be as impressed. This toothbrush is not one of the higher end models, but it does pack some neat and very useful features. Here are some of the features: - Pressure sensor that lets you know when you are pushing down too hard on your teeth. It does this by pulsing if you need to ease the pressure. - It will beep every 30 seconds after you turn it on, to ensure that you cover the 4 quadrants of your mouth (for a total of 2 minutes) - It automatically shuts off after 2 minutes - It has a "smart" brush head which syncs with your handle and it will remind you to replace your brush head when it's time. It'll do this by lighting a little light at the bottom of the handle, which will turn amber. -Battery states it'll last up to 2 weeks, though that really depends on how many times you brush, so I can't confirm that as I've only owned it for one and I always place it back on the charging stand. - The last interesting feature I found, was that over the first 14 uses, the toothbrush will gradually increase in intensity, so as to get you used to the vibrations, so that it's not uncomfortable for your teeth and gums. My experience with this toothbrush was that it leaves your teeth feeling really smooth, soft bristles on the brush head, and a good brushing experience. What I didn't particularly like, was that I feel like the brush head is slightly small for my liking. I have larger teeth and I've had other electric toothbrushes, but i'm not sure if larger brush heads are available. I'm only speaking for the one that came with the box. I would recommend this toothbrush though, as Philips Sonicare is synonymous with dental hygiene.

this was my first electric toothbrush and this product does exactly as advertised. the 2 minute timer is great and the vibrations are not crazy intense. my teeth always feel clean after using this.

When I first turned it on I thought even in my hand it was quite loud but, I was hopeful due to what it was advertised to help fits my current dental and plaque problems. I appreciate the fact that it notifies you of when the brush needs to be changed. But, i was taken a back when I put it in my mouth and not in a good way. its so powerful that when brushing the strong vibrations almost hurt my and the sound gave me a headache. It was just off-putting.

I've used the Phillips Sonicare Toothbrush for about a week. Below are my pros and cons. Pros: The electric toothbrush has a nice design. It's lightweight and is very comfortable in your hand. The recharging feature and stand work very well. This toothbrush does an amazing job cleaning your teeth. You feel like you just left the dentist! Cons: The only con I see is the price. Overall, the toothbrush has an excellent design and it does an excellent job cleaning your teeth.

I put toothpaste on my toothbrush and press go. The toothbrush is quiet enough that I can hear things going on in my home and powerful enough to clean my teeth at the same time. I love the timer, it recharges very fast and I would love to buy one for everyone in my family. A def item to have in your home!

I really like Sonicare. The toothbrush is easy to us, and feels like a real toothbrush. Other brands are not as comfortable or work as well. I like the charging base which is easy to keep clean. Takes up minimal space and does a great job brushing. My kids want new ones and it will be Sonicare as well.

Fast shipping. I'm happy with the product, it's very easy to use. I like that it pauses when you need to switch to a different area of the mouth.

The first question I had was where has this toothbrush been all my life? The next question I had was why didn't I buy a toothbrush like this sooner. The instructions are clear, charging is easy and I love brushing my teeth more than I did before, I didn't think that was possible.

I really didn't think an electric toothbrush could be that different then a normal one but this Philips Sonicare really gives your teeth the feeling of just leaving the dentist after a cleaning. It was a little hard to get use to the vibration and noise in your mouth at first but after a while you don't notice it. The head of the toothbrush is very small compared to a regular brush so i spend longer brushing my teeth which is probably a good thing anyhow. Unlike with my regular brush where i felt like i would have to push down hard and brush vigorously this toothbrush actually feels when you are pressing to hard and slows down as to say "stop pressing so hard". The brush does all the work you just have to hold it to your teeth gently. I definitely will continue to use the brush until it's time to change the brush head. If I like it still by then I will pay the $10 to $15 it costs to replace the head.

Out of the box: The Philips Sonicare 4100 comes with a charge, but it is recommended that it be charged for 24h after first use. Accessories: The unit comes with one rather small brush head. There was no carrying case with the unit. Physical Design The handle is nicely balanced and ergonomic. It is also fully waterproof and easy to clean. The charging base is simple and easy to use. Software design The “EasyStart” feature slowly increasing the power level over the first 14 seconds of each use. This may be OK for first-time users, but it will soon become unnecessary. It is easy to disable. Instructions to do so are in the User’s Guide. There is only one power setting, but this should be fine for most users. The “Quadpacer” feature reminds you to move to another quadrant of your mouth every 30 seconds. This is a nice feature, but I prefer the 6-step pacer available in more advanced models. This feature can be disabled. The “BrushSync” chip enabled brush head tells allows the unit to tell you when it is time to change the brush head. I have never had a problem telling when a tooth brush needed replacement. The cynic in me wants to believe that the intended purpose of the feature is to sell more brush heads, but I have not used it long enough to make an objective assessment. This feature can be disabled. Overall: The Philips Sonicare 4100 is a cut above most electric toothbrushes I’ve tried (except for other more expensive Sonicare brushes). This and a good flossing twice a day will keep you and your dentist happy.

This is the perfect mix of features and ease of use. After using several Sonics I have found this brush easy to use without overdoing it on the feature set. After use I always feel like I have just left the dentist chair ( in a good way)

The battery life on this toothbrush is great. Great replacement for my old one.

Not much to say about the Philips Soniccare 4100 electric toothbrush. It is well built has several modes including a pressure sensor to ensure you are not brushing too hard. In addition there is a battery charge indicator, which provides you a visual indicator of the battery state. Also there is something called BrushSync technology which determines when you need to replace the brush head. Overall this unit is lightweight and handles well, the charging base is small and compact. I am very happy with this unit and have yet to find anything that I don’t like about it, although I do wish more than one brush head was provided.

I have started using this toothbrush to replace my manual one and this truly outperforms in many aspects. The toothbrush is great and works flawlessly. It ensures that I have a clean mouth and healthy gums. The controls of the toothbrush are eas to use and intuitive. I like the recharging capabilities of this product. I am a big fan of this product!

Great toothbrush. Life changing compared to manual.

I've used this over my normal tooth brush for about a week now and it is so much better. My mouth feels much cleaner and it's great on my gums. I always keep it on the charger so I haven't tested the battery length but I'm sure it would be able to get a full week out of it.

Only after 4 or 5 uses I can feel that my teeth are much cleaner. It did take a few usage to get used to the brushing power of the toothbrush. It is easy to use and figure out without reading the instructions manual too. I am ready to stop brushing my teeth by hand.

We got this for my nine-year-old son, whose adult teeth are starting to come in. He's good with brushing so we wanted to get him something to start cleaning his permanent teeth even better and establish healthy habits. This brush fits the bill very well. It's basic but well built and works as well as all of the other Philips brushes we own. It has one speed and just comes with a charger. No travel case, no extra heads (other than the one it comes with) and no other notable extras. Nonetheless, it is the same quality as all Philips rechargeables.

I love it I have this for 2 years still works like new.
