Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this model to replace an older Sonicare toothbrush that lasted 6 years. The new one felt a bit more cheaply made, so I wasn’t really surprised when it died on me last night after only 4 months. It’s still under manufacturer warranty, but I’m not gonna go through the headache of sending it in and waiting 6 weeks or whatever for a repair. My advice is to just stick with the cheaper Sonicare models, so when they die at least you’re not out $120 or more.

The local store (Salem, Oregon) sent the correct box but inside was the travel case, a charger, an old, non-working toothbrush and a used, toothbrush head! It basically looks like someone returned their old stuff in the new item's box, Best Buy did not bother to check it and then packed it up again for the shop floor. I was the unlucky one to order it online and have it shipped to me. I now have the choice of paying to have it shipped off to Kentucky for a return or driving 40 miles each way to return it to a store. Very poor service for a supposedly Elite Plus member.
