Choosing a new electric toothbrush can be confusing. There are tons of options and price ranges, some offering features that you might never need. With the ProtectiveClean 6100, Philips has struck a great balance of performance and value. PROS: - Simple packaging and easy assembly. Just slide the brush head onto the body and you're ready to go. My toothbrush arrived fully charged. - Lightweight, ergonomic handle. I was worried this might be heavy, but it's not. It's very comfortable to hold for the entire 2-minute brushing period. - Excellent brushing performance. There are three levels of brushing intensity that can be adjusted with a button on the handle. I've been using the medium setting and I love the way my teeth feel after each use. You know that squeaky-clean feeling your teeth have after going to the dentist? This toothbrush can give you that feeling every day! - The toothbrush will beep and vibrate while you're brushing to tell you to move to another quadrant of your mouth. It's a useful reminder so you don't over-brush one area of your mouth. - If you apply too much pressure to your teeth, the toothbrush will also beep/vibrate so you don't damage your gums. OTHER THOUGHTS: - Only one brush head is included. For the price, I wish Philips would have included at least 2 brush heads. They aren't cheap, either, so be prepared to shop for deals on replacement brush heads. - If your bathroom does not have a power outlet in the perfect place, you might have a hard time keeping the charging base plugged in all the time. The cord is rather long and difficult to hide. - The product listing says that the toothbrush is supposed to come with a travel case, but my box did not have one. If you purchase this in-store, make sure the box says it includes a travel case. My box makes no mention of it and the model number is slightly different than the one listed here. My box says model number HX6877/48, which apparently does not include a travel case. If you want the case, make sure you get model HX6877/21. OVERALL: This is an excellent, no-gimmicks electric toothbrush. The price is just right and the features included are simple and useful. Highly recommended!

This brush is very easy to use and leaves my mouth feeling clean. It also had the ability to help you brush more efficiently. It will beep when you should switch to a new section of your teeth. It's not a loud annoying beep either, very subtle. My dentist also recommended I switch to a modern electric toothbrush, since I tend to press really hard when I brush. This helps me with that as well. It will pulse when I'm applying too much pressure. It is also much quieter than other electric toothbrushes I've heard in the past. I love this toothbrush! Worth the quality. I utilize every setting and it makes my teeth super clean. If you try to learn how to use white, clean and gum, it makes a HUGE difference. It definitely lasts longer than my previous toothbrushes by Phillips. And I love how it looks! Definitely recommend!

Got this to replace an old Oral-B I had been using. I've had the Oral-B for about 4 years but it was slowly dying and in need of replacement. I've heard that the Sonicare are better and clean better than Oral-B's. After using it a couple times, it definitely feels like it cleans better so no questions there. Brush heads are a bit pricey however i'm sure you can find deals for them online somewhere. You get basically all you need to start off with. The carrying case is nice; much better than my older one. You get one brush head and wall charger as well. Hoping this Sonicare lasts for awhile.

This is a great electric toothbrush. It’s been a long time since I’ve had one and I don’t think I’ll go back after using this. The toothbrush has 3 different modes and 3 intensity settings, along with a built-in pressure sensor to let you know if you’re brushing too hard. I didn’t notice a huge difference between the different modes, but the included brush head seems to made for the whitening mode. Each mode runs for a set amount of time and it’s nice to have that encouragement to brush until it stops running. I’ve been using it for a few days and it feels like I just came from a cleaning every time. I only have a couple of small gripes, one being the intensity modes, which are great, but with the included head and toothpaste I use it literally vibrates the toothpaste off if I start on the highest intensity mode. It’s only slightly annoying and I just have to make sure I start at the lowest setting and increment it up once I start brushing. The other is the replacement brush heads do seem a little expensive, at least compared to regular toohbrushes. There’s a brush head replacement indicator light on the toothbrush, but I don’t know how long the heads are supposed to last between replacements; hopefully at least a month or two. These two things don’t really affect my overall feeling that this is a really good toothbrush and the job it does make it and the replacements head well worth the investment.

Great toothbrush. Really cleans the tooth very well leaves your mouth feeling nice and clean. My dentist was surprised with how little calculus I had on my teeth when they did their annual. I told them I brush 3x per day with high flouride toothpaste and a ProtectiveClean 6100. He said well that'll do it!.. This toothbrush uses sonic movement to get all the calculus, tartar, plaque and everything off your tooth at a rate of 62, 000 per minute. Your oral health will become dramatically better if you incorporate a Sonicare toothbrush to your oral hygeine routine. My gums aren't as receded as they were when I used Oral B Genius 8000, and my mouth feels more clean and overall its much better. I also like how quiet it is compared to oral B. My dentist told me both oral B and Sonicare tooth rushes are excellent. She said it really boils down to personal preference, whether you prefer mechanical over sonic, whether you have sensitive gums, whether you have dental issues. Those variables can change what brush would be reccomended. This toothpaste feels good in the hand, has 3 different brush modes and 3 intensity levels that can be changed to suit your needs. Every 3 months or so the brush light at the bottom of the unit will flash - that means it's time to refill your heads. And they don't come cheap, 35 dollars for 3 replacement heads approximately. Get them on a deal if you can. Pretty sure once the head indicator goes off it won't work unless you replace the head but I don't know for sure. Wouldn't surprise me

My previous entry level sonicare could not hold onto a charge after 5 years of daily use(at least) and I decided that I would upgrade to a better model, which I believe this is the mid tier model that has all the bells and whistles except Bluetooth and app use which I did not want or need anyways. Pros: - lighter and more ergonomic than the old model - Chips in the brush heads tell you when to change the head, when you are brushing too hard(the vibrations will change), and they automatically the select the optimal settings - feels more powerful than the entry model; providing my teeth with a cleaner feeling - travel case - battery life(so far); one week of twice daily brushing and no signs of letting up Cons: - replacement heads can be pricey but for me it’s worth it Overall: a definite winner. Have used sonicare for years and will continue to do so. If I can get as much use out of this one as my previous one, then it’s a no questions asked purchase.

This is a wonderful toothbrush. It takes a little getting use to but otherwise very good product. It runs for 2 min then shuts off so there is no guesswork. It has different intensity settings and different size brush heads

BEST TOOTH BRUSH EVER. The color is adorable (pink) and the travel case makes it a breeze to travel with which was a concern of mine when I was deciding to purchase. My teeth visibly look whiter, and my gums look great. Makes brushing a breeze. Highly recommend.

This is my favorite toothbrush! It's easy to use, and the battery life is great. My dentist always tells me to keep doing what I am doing because I never have dental issues now that I am a Sonicare user.

This toothbrush cleans very well. It gets in between your teeth and makes flossing even easier after brushing with this toothbrush. A big positive for this toothbrush is that it is very easy on the gums. In all actuality, I can’t think of any flaws at this point. I highly recommend that a person gets this toothbrush because it is a much more effective than a regular one. This is all most people will ever need. It doesn’t have a phone app or anything else most people will probably fins unnecessary, it simply gets the job done.

bought this after my Sonicare 7300 finally gave out after almost 4 years of use. I was originally looking at higher-end models again, but realized I wasn’t actually using most of the extra features on the ExpertClean line. This model is cheaper and honestly works just as well for what matters most: brushing and cleaning teeth. The cleaning performance feels just as effective as my old one, and my teeth feel just as clean after each use. It has the essentials without unnecessary extras. If you’re coming from a higher-end Sonicare and don’t really use all the advanced features, this is a great option. I’m happy I saved money without sacrificing the quality of the clean.

Great toothbrush! Long lasting battery and teeth feel cleaner than ever

Easy to use and does an excellent job in cleaning. Reasonably priced, and even includes several features, including a timer and pressure sensor. It also comes in a variety of colors, which is great for families who can identify their toothbrush by color. My husband uses the blue toothbrush, and I use the pink toothbrush.

Great sonicare toothbrush if your looking to grab one and don’t want to leap into the deep end with the 400$ one this is a great starter provides all the great features of the 400$ one at a value price and the warranty’s are great on these guys not that you’ll ever need to use it. I just picked up this one for my wife , finally got her to switch from her oral b and can confidently say she loves it and told me I should have convinced her years ago. It really picks up everything between the gums and removes stains after a month it’s like a night and day difference.
