buget was to be under $1000 and was recommended to get this during March audio madness and didn't not disappoint me.

I bought this when it was on sale because the specs looked great, and this may be awesome for someone who has never owned a denon or better, but if you have I wouldn't bother. I found the sound to be very hollow in contrast, and lacking power overall. Awful remote and controls that just didn't make sense and I've played with a lot of AV equipment on my day as I've been around home theater since the laser disc. If you've never owned a home theater receiver this will seem really cool, but I'd avoid and go with a Denon or Yamaha.

Receiver exceeds my intelligents in many ways, however on screen menu and the app make it easy to program... It will exceed your expectations.

The software is sub par but the features and quality vs price is good and I wasn't thrilled with software on any competitive models.

I replaced my Pioneer Elite VSX-60 with this VSX-90. I purchased a new 4K TV, and there was a communication issue with the VSX-60. This receiver works exactly like the other one, but adds the Bluetooth capability. The Bluetooth comes in handy, and I use it a couple times a week. I set up the speaker distance and listening modes with the Pioneer app, and it was very simple to do. I highly recommend this receiver. It will make your speakers sound amazing!

I bought this receiver to upgrade my old one that was 10 yrs, old with no HDMI. Still learning the features.

This may be on the lower end of the Pioneer Elite series, but it has great features and sounds better than most speakers can reproduce.

I love this unit!!!! The Elite brand comes with a longer warranty. I was able to pick this unit up on sale so the value is great as well. Now you can assign all of your inputs, etc. for this right from your computer instead of having to go through the menus on the screen. This is a great improvement and makes things much easier to use. I bought this to compliment a new TV purchase and couldn't be happier.

Many features for the price I haven't explored everything yet but so far I'm impressed
