Much better receiver then a combo package from Samsung. The Pioneer Elite has great sound and control over the output. Worth the money.

We got a new 4K HD Smart TV and wasn't compatible with our old Pioneer receiver that went to our surround sound. Front speakers Bose and back pioneer which both went with the old reciever. Got this Newer Pioneer Receiver that was compatable with our new TV and for us non tech people way too complicated to get the Bose speakers to work thru it, got so frustrated took it back and got a sound bar. Works just fine. If you are tech savvy this will be good for you just not for non tech savy people.

I haven't bought a receiver in 4 or 5 years. I was forced to convert over from the connections in the back to my new speakers. Well this receiver has AirPlay. I can use it from my phone, 450w compared to my 120. I'm playing in the big leagues when it comes to entertainment systems send you need a powerful receiver that can handle the pressure or wattage. Tv, Xbox 1, 5 speakers, bass module. It's performing up to expectations. I should be good for another 4 years and I am sure there will be major upgrades.

Replaced another elite receiver that had to be fixed 3 times in two years. The price was very good for the equipment though.

Had issues with the internet capability. Great for movies, okay for music. If you can, upgrade to a marantz.

Luckily a member of the Best Buy Magnolia team steered me toward this unit. It's jam-packed with features that I'm just now learning to appreciate. Set up was easy and when stumped the customer service people at Pioneer were very helpful. The only thing lacking was a manual. That is just a file which I have to pick and chose which pages to print but other than that it's a five star purchase.
