Q: Lacking Atmos, why is this better than the VSX-1130-K
A: I have personally heard and tried the VSX-1130 versus VSX-45. I can honestly say that the sound VSX-45 is so much better than VSX-1130. The difference is night and day. Do not be deceived by the 80W rms of VSX-45. VSX-1130 sounded harsh and thin. Also using the auto calibration feature, VSX-1130 required my speakers to be at -2.5dB per channel or speakers. VSX-45 requires my speaker to be at -6-5.5dB per channel, meaning the VSX-45 actually has deliver more power than VSX-1130.
