This is the best receiver that I ever had. It does whatever you wanted it to do. With the Martin Logan speakers that I purchased from Best Buy makes my surround sound sound excellent. The Pioneer Elite 450 Watt 5.2 Channel 4K Ultra HD. With 3D pass is an excellent receiver for the money. I am very happy with this receiver. I would recommend this receiver to anyone of my friends or relatives.

This is my second elite receiver. My first is in my living room. I decided to go with surroundsound in the bedroom also, and this receiver has worked out well.

I am very pleased with my purchase. The wifi works well. Easy setup. Works well with my Logitech Harmony remote. I was able to purchase this receiver as an Open-box for $179 with no remote or printed manuals. It still was a great deal. Thank you Best Buy!

Needed a newer receiver to replace an old one that didn't have HDMI. This was the best deal going at $250 (normally $450) from Best Buy. It went along with a new Sony UHD TV for my sister, who already had Bose speakers. This receiver powers them just fine without any problem and movies on the new TV really come alive. The only problem experienced was the software app that allows media streaming over the Internet. My nephew couldn't get it to work, but that's a reflection of the app, not the receiver per se.

I already owned a pioneer elite stereo, and I purchase this unit for an upgrade to some of the new features, like a built in wifi and the 4 k functionality. The sound is awesome, it had me out of my seat looking out the window because I thought I heard noises coming from outside but I soon realized it was the stereo system. before I went with pioneer I had a Rotel stereo receiver system which I spent over $1500.00 and it only lasted 3 years, never again. In my opinion this receiver has better sound quality and is more user friendly. This is a good place to start if you're looking to join the pioneer elite family and go with quality. I would recommend this strongly.

This is a powerful and good receiver that fits my needs and beyond. I only gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the setup process and directions are not very easy to figure out, and I think of myself as an advanced audiophile. The receiver has too many pre-set controls for speakers that you cannot adjust. Overall the performance is good and it's nice to have wifi and hdmi output to my theater system. I purchased this as open box for $250 which I thought was a great deal.

The unit is easy to use and setup pretty easily. I replaced an old Onkyo 7.1, so I'm losing out on my 6th channel I used to run, but so far it hasn't been an issue for my small room. One of the faults I have with this receiver is the horrible app. It's not very responsive and you need to pair it every single time you want to use it. So far I've been pretty pleased with it sound quality wise. The passthrough hdmi has worked perfectly.

I got this receiver at my local BB for an AWESOME price than online. This receiver is GREAT! It has all the latest tech. Even thought its only 5.2, it doesn't have any problems powering my Klipsch speakers. I love the HDMI 4K switching capabilities. If you are looking a great receiver that won't break the bank, this one is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

We purchased this on Thanksgiving for an amazing deal. We were only going for a tv, but my hubby couldn't pass up the savings. AND MAN, AM I GLAD! It has changed our TV and movie watching experience completely. It was easy to set up. We are still discovering everything this receiver offers. I'm far from tech savvy... so please excuse my excitment, but that this receiver has it's own app! I was alone watching TV one night while my hubby worked (80-90 hours per week in the winter) at his job over 45 minutes away, when all the sudden the receiver switched and our wedding song began to play! From work he was able to play music off his phone into our home. It's SO much more then just a reciever. Great quality for the money! Looks very sharp too.

Purchased this after my Denon died and expected to have to replace my speakers as the sound quality was not great. This is a huge upgrade from the Denon and the Onkyo that I have the nearly every way despite it costing less. The speakers are fine, the receiver was holding them back. Not only is the sound is noticeably better, it is easier to connect cable/dvd/etc, and the initial setup is easier (even though there is some work involved in getting it hooked up to the Internet and having it auto setup the optimal speaker sounds). I have owned a few high quality receivers and this is much better than the others. I use this to power a hd projector, blu ray, and Xfinity and have this connected as 5.1 to middle of the road Yamaha surround speakers. This product really is great. I've had a home theater for years and it has never sounded better than it does now. I thought pioneer was a step down from my Denon and Onkyo but the Best Buy rep talked me into this and I'm glad he did.

If you recently bought a 4K Ultra set and are looking to upgrade your receiver, this is a sound choice for a small (5.1) system. Easy to use and good tone. The in-app set-up that Pioneer promotes needs improvement, but you don't really need it.

I definitely notice sound quality between this one paired with Definitive pro Cinema speakers 600 from old 5.1 Home theater HTS5580W/F7 | Philips all in one 1000w .. I can clearly hear conversations, all connected devices straight by Hdmi is included in surround sound , and just enough bass that it almosts seems professionally installed . I am very impressed but sometimes want to go back to raggedy bass just because i had old system paid for about $500 less and current system is pretty technical. The reason i give 4 stars is that there is alot of open grills everywhere which could collect alot of dust in my home . I got warranty so not worried about failure due to this but cost me more money.

Pros: - 4K support with HDMI 2.0 & HDCP 2.2 - Six HDMI inputs - DLNA, AirPlay, Bluetooth, Pandora, Spotify, etc. - RS232 port and programmable 12V output for professional installations - Great sound quality - WiFi and Wired Cons: - GUI/OSD is very basic and slow. Setup and radio menus are output in 480i only. - Receiver can only upscale 1080p to 4K. There is no scaling for any other input and output resolution combinations. - Remote control could be better -No Composite inputs

Got this for $250 on Black Friday, which is a steal, and easily helps me overlooks the minor shortcomings. Full 4K with HDCP 2.2 support, along with built in Airplay and Spotify make this a dream receiver for me. Switching inputs is a bit slow, but that doesn't really bother me. The UI is awful, and setup was confusing, but once it was up and running, the issues stopped. This is my first receiver, so I don't have much to compare to, but I would definitely recommend it to a friend, especially at the new $299 price. It's great for a small/medium sized room, and has all of the features a modern receiver should.

This Pioneer is an entry level receiver in the Elite line of products. I was impressed with all the bells and whistles included at this price. It has more HDMI inputs than I need at this point, but allows more growth for the future. I used it to replace an older Pioneer receiver which has served me well (moving that one to the bedroom). The only negative is the complicated remote control with too many tiny buttons! Sound quality is excellent - I am not an audiophile, just a guy who likes to listen to music.

Very cost effective mid-level Home Theater A/V receiver. Excellent product reviews by technical resources encouraged my purchase. I liked the Speaker connection layout and number of HDMI inputs as well as 4K processing capability. Pioneer Elite brand in itself provides consumer confidence in product based on previous designs, performance and quality

Researched a lot of options (including sound bars, HTIB, etc), and decided to go with this amp and a speaker package (combo on sale at BB). Easy to install and set up, and the system sounds great. First thing I did was put in an old DVD of Tomb Raider, and the surround sound and subwoofer were awesome. The amp probably does way more than I need, but would rather go that route. Highly recommend.

I also added 2 Pionner FS52's as my front speakers & I am very happy with my 7.1 setup now. Watching blu ray action movies with this receiver handling all the sound is very impressive.
