Best Buy recommended this and I purchased it. Then the remote control people told me it was not the one they recommended

Great av receiver to future proof for incoming technology changes. Supports HDR and upscales video to 4k. Also allows for Google chrome casting but only audio (does not support video casting). Overall a great receiver for home entertainment!

The elite has less distortion at high levels, but for me, it was more important to have no hiss at lower levels. This way I can listen as quiet as possible in the middle of the night. Clarity, coloring, and quality are all great in this stereo surround system

Having recently upgraded to a 4k TV I also required a 4k HDCP 2.2 receiver. I was deciding between a Onkyo or this Pioneer. Ultimately, the 3 year warranty helped me in selecting this. Currently using this with a Vizio p75 C1, 7.1 surround speakers, PS4 pro and a Nvidia Shield.

I was about to buy a competitive Yamaha but the Magnolia guy convinced me to go to this unit for a few bucks. I ended up putting the Pioneer Elite in my theater room and the Yamaha went into my kitchen system along with supporting my whole house audio system. The Pioneer works great in the theater room. Very easy setup. The remote is not the best but I moved to a programmable logitec anyway.

I purchased this as an open box item for 350. For the money this is a great value and does everything that I would expect a receiver to do at this price point. Lots of HDMI inputs, ability to reassign input names, auto configuration, etc.

Purchased one as a gift for Christmas. And had to get one for myself I had an older model Yamaha for the last 20 years. This one is so updated. Wish I could of gotten it for the sale price that I payed during December but oh well

This unit is running my new theater room. Sounds very supurb. 4K & 3D pass through was a must. Supports ARC, which works great with my lg.

I really like this receiver as it offers a lot of great features. You can stream online with pandora and the hook up is straight forward. I'm not technically savvy and was able to make all the connections without any problems.

Asked a sales rep which unit he'd buy personally. He took me into the magnolia room. Showed me this unit. Let me listen to it. Told me about how many people had come in specifically looking for this 2016 model. Let me look up some reviews online. I have zero complaints. Powerful, incredibly user friendly, intelligent computer software, integrates with my system perfectly. Absolutely a fantastic piece of stereo equipment

I have owned many receivers over the years. This one specifically had plenty of problems and was in the shop 3 different times. When it was working it was great....

Great quality and value. Cant go wrong. I have it paired with a set of Bowers and Wilkins 685 speakers and it a perfect fit for those.

Works very well as replacement for old Sony receiver that was going bad. Easy set up, lots of options. Only issue I have is the way it displays the sound level as negative db - very odd choice for non-audiophile users.

Very nice receiver at a good price. Is as future proof of a receiver as is out there today. Feature set is robust, setup was easy and this unit has plenty of power. Very happy with this purchase.

Easy to operate once set up. Great rich powerful sound. BT operation is great. Still getting use to it.

It works but I can't figure out how to fine tune it. I have to turn it up when people are talking a d down when action is happening. This is probably just my lack of knowledge.

I bought this receiver for the many added features from my 3 year old pioneer elite. I love that the 4k pass thru works great with xbox one s. The HDR also works perfectly.

Great for your home entertainment system great sound and different layout options. Easy set up.

After purchasing an OLED TV my budget was a bit strapped. The salesman showed us a number of 4K receivers in Magnolia. The sound from all was very good. I purchased this one based upon cost and the ability to hook up all my components, phono, cassette, CD, dvd player. You need to make sure all can be hooked up with an identifier for each one on your remote. The sound is very clear. There is a lot more tweaking that can be done once the basic setup is complete.

This is second Pioneer Elite Receiver I have purchased in the past 18 months. Good quality for the price. The only feature I wish it had would be a HDMI port on the front of the receiver.
