Posted .Hi TJones and thank you for sharing your honest feedback on our BackBeat GO 410. We're sorry to hear you've had trouble when using Google Maps. Some of our users have reported the unit works well when using it with Google Maps. There are a few tests you could perform in order to solve the issue or find the cause of the problem. First please reset the Bluetooth connection. To do so: https://bit.ly/2OOMfnw to re-pair it to your phone, with the ear buds powered-off, press and hold the power button for 6-8 seconds until LED flashes red and white or red and blue repeatedly. This will make it detectable. You might also want to reset the Network settings on your phone. Compare its performance while it is connected to WiFi and mobile data. For optimal performance verify if there are firmware updates available through BackBeat app. In any case we do thank you for bringing this to our attention. This Is a Great Value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did considerable research on ANC headphones, as I’m replacing an older set of wired Bose on-ears for air travel. I was ready to pull the trigger again on a Bose purchase, but I read some pretty favorable industry and user reviews on the Plantronics Backbeat GO 410. At this price, I thought, why not give them a shot? I just traveled with these for the first time today, and I’m impressed. They’re not Bose and I didn’t expect that, but I have to say I’m happy; I experienced good ANC and kept a chunk of cash in my pocket. There is a slight hiss in the ANC mode, but it’s nothing compared to the hiss I’ve experienced with another famous brand’s battery powered ANC earbuds. Bass response is good, and overall my music has a satisfying sound. The two levels of ANC truly are different, and I used the “high” setting on the plane. I also tried the wired connection and found it to be solid. These are comfortable to wear. Even when I wasn’t actively using them, they hung around my neck most of the day and there was no irritation. In fact, they’re light enough that I really didn’t even notice them. The earbuds have a comfortable feel in the ear; I tried both medium and small tips before settling on the originally installed mediums. The call quality is acceptable; I called my “other phone” to leave a couple of voicemails while I experimented with the microphone. I did find that I needed to hold it a bit closer to my mouth to get the effect I wanted. The other thing I was watching for was lag in lip sync when watching video. I’ve experienced that with other wireless earphones. I’m happy to report that I noticed no lag at all. Overall, I have to say I’m glad I made this purchase. I fly a lot, and I’ll get a quick return on investment here.

Overall good ANC headphones
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this headset for about a week and here are my thoughts on this unit. First the material of the neckband is a combination of plastic and some sort of silicone material. Also it is much smaller compared to other models’ neckbands and is rather soft. This is a plus for this model. The earpieces are conical in shape and obviously differs from the spherical earpieces of other models. It is made from silicone and provides a comfy fit. Like most headsets, it comes in three pairs – small, medium and large. Operating the unit may be a bit of a challenge as documentation is very scarce. And as of this writing, here is barely written support in the Plantronics’ website. Fortunately the companion app has directions for this and other models. And now for the main gist of this model. The audio output is pretty good even without noise cancelling turned on though it is turned on by default. Likewise the buds provide a good seal in your ear partially isolating noises. Turning the unit on is done the usual way wherein you press the center button once. And to pair it to a phone, pressing the center button for 3-4 seconds. There is not much to control using the buttons in the unit but downloading the app and pairing it with the headset provides more control options such as enhancing bass. With the app, noise cancelling can be turned on and off can deliver extra bass. Battery life is neither low nor good which is rated at eight hours with ANC on. But I find odd that if ANC is turned off, battery life is at only ten hours. But overall this is a very decent pair of ANC headsets. And I would recommend it to other users out there.

Posted .Hello! Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on our Backbeat GO 410 headset, however we are sorry to hear about your experience. You may want to try resetting the Bluetooth connection with your mobile. To do so: 1. Unpair the headset from your mobile phone by accessing your Bluetooth settings. 2. Power off your mobile phone for 2 minutes and turn it back on. 3. Re-pair the headset to your mobile. The rubbing noise is a ‘stethoscope’ effect of any occluding earbud‐style headphone (fabric or rubber). This effect is slightly louder with a fabric cable rather than a TPE cable. As an active headphone, the fabric cable was intentionally selected despite this challenge because it has less friction rubbing on moist skin in motion (than a typical TPE cable has). Fabrics can also gather debris. Please don't hesitate to contact our Customer Care Team at 800-985-9815 if you require assistance.

Really good product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for noise cancelling ear buds mostly for travel. I have a pair of Bose over ear noise cancelling headphones that I have been using but they are a little bulky to carry when traveling. These work well and perfect for my needs. Though there are better ones, who wants to spend 2 or 3x as much. If these get lost or break I would be upset, but not as upset if they were several hundred dollars. These work great and I am really happy with this purchase. They are very comfortable. I prefer things that don't have bulky plastic or metal attachments just for looks. The sound is descent and really good for the price. I find myself using them quite often now. The noise cancelling works well enough to hear podcasts in a noisy lunch room at work.

Solid entry level earbuds
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They have a very standard look. Nothing really particularly surprising when you take them out of the box. They are made of plastic and silicone. They feel lightweight. I know alot of people associate weight with quality. Sometimes that can be true as it is an indication of what materials are used for the build. However, alot of companies tend to just add random pieces of metal to make products heavier and charge significantly more. One brand in particular jumps to mind...That being said, I don't think these are poorly made. They have a great fit and finish. Unfortunately, these are not meant for strenuous workouts. They are supposedly "sweat resistant" but they do not have an official IP rating as far as I know. Now I know most people are only interested in the BackBeat Go 410 for its ANC. The verdict....very average. It has a slight hiss when the ANC is active but I did not notice it when listening to music. The ANC is not going to be as good as the 300-400 dollar ones but it still blocks out a good bit of noise. Bluetooth 5.0. This is awesome. I really can't stress this enough. I really have struggled with bluetooth products in the past when it comes to connectivity. Bluetooth 5.0 is awesome. It is reliable and strong. This is something that you can definitely rely on. The sound is good. Bass can be strong. You can try to adjust the EQ a bit with the app. Listening to music and watching videos with this was enjoyable. Battery life was quite good. I got around 8 hours with the ANC on which is what they advertise. With ANC off, you get around 10 hours which is also what they advertise. I was surprised turning ANC off only gave you 2 extra hours of battery life. I did not think this was an issue at all as I always tend to charge them after I use them but it's something to be aware of. I think it is important to consider who these earbuds are for. These have decent ANC and good sound for about half the price of the industry leaders. These are a solid choice who do not want to break the bank for ANC.

Works great for only 2 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the GO410 and it worked great at reducing road and wind noise while bike riding. However, after two months, the earbuds started squeeling and hissing horrendously. I could not fix this by pairing or power cycling. I proceeded to return the product by warranty. Warranty return worked fine for another two months with the same problem reoccurring. Plantronics honors the warranty but requires you to ship it back, wait 2 weeks, and get the replacement. Not good enough when this happened twice.

Great sound, but can’t turn them on or off!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound quality was great, but the on/off switch failed unpredictably. Apparently, this is a common problem with Plantronics. In fact, there is even a class action suit in preparation somewhere. I took the phones back to Best Buy, but they couldn’t do anything after two months without a protection plan. I told the service attendant to throw them in the trash. Pity — $100 down the drain. Bought a replacement pair from another vendor.

Started shorting out after 6 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked fine for a few months, then started dropping and reconnecting to blue tooth (despite the phone being on my person). After that it then wouldn't turn off completely. It would announce it was off, but the white light remained on. Last and final straw was it dropped blue tooth while on calls and dropped the active noise reduction and picked it back up intermittently. Done with them, never dropped them, never had them in the rain, not good quality.
