While I purchased these because of the 'noise cancelling' ability of the variable ANC, which is excellent, they are extremely comfortable because of the flexible neckband especially for traveling. The sound quality is solid with comfortable ear tips. They are a great compromise of price and features. Great daily use.

    Better option vs. Jabra 65e

I've been using these at the office now for about two weeks, and in comparison to the Jabra 65e headphone (which I used for two weeks prior to receiving the Plantronics), these are a much better option for me. Overall If you're looking for a neckband-style headphone (vs. completely wireless or over the ear) I think this is better than the Jabra, depending on your needs. The value proposition is pretty good too, but you can find similar prices on the Jabra on sale. They are light, comfortable, and easy to use, and a good choice for basic wireless earbud style headphones. If you're looking for a workout/fitness headphone, I'd look elsewhere - although the design is lightweight, Plantronics doesn't provide an IPX rating, so I'd be cautious about getting these sweaty or near water - the charging port on the neckband is only covered by a small flimsy plastic cover. Pros: Design/UX - The design and user experience/comfort in my opinion is better than the Jabra. The inline remote is on the right earbud wire (vs. on the neckband in the Jabra) which is a more natural ergonomic choice for me. It's very light and I don't notice it during the day, because the "neckband" is basically just a thick, flexible wire. Also, because the neckband is just a flexible cable, it's much more compact and easier to carry vs. more rigid neckband designs. Battery life is fantastic. I can easily make it through an entire day of periodic (not continuous) use, and the "smart magnet" feature which puts the unit to sleep when you dock the two earpices together is a great feature to have in office use, as I'm frequently taking them out of my ears throughout the day. Sound quality is fine for me (I don't consider myself an audiophile). The highs/lows sound appropriately balanced to me, and there's an EQ feature in the app to tweak the sound profile. The bass is present, but not really "punchy" compared to the Jabra, but I think that's because the eargels on the Jabra had a tighter fit in my ears. I prefer the Plantronics eargel style (no wings) vs. the Jabra, mainly because I'm often taking them in and out of my ears throughout the day, and the wings make it harder to put back in correctly. Cons: The noise cancellation is not that great. There are two settings (low and high) but neither do as good a job at cancelling noise compared to the Jabra. For my office environment (relatively quiet already) this is not a big deal for me, but if you're in an open cube farm or a noisy location, I'd go with the Jabra over these. If ANC is really important, you definitely should look at an over-ear design or perhaps a wired Bose earbud. For the airplane, I'd definitely take a different pair of headphones, except that the Plantronics has a unique 3.5mm headphone jack pass through charging cable that can be used to plug in for the airplane, which the Jabra (or most other neckband style) doesn't have. However you cannot charge and use the headphone jack at the same time. There is a companion app available that allows you to adjust the settings, but it's really not required and the app frequently said my headphones were not connected, when in fact they were. Compared to the Jabra app, the UI/UX of the Plantronics app is better, although the Jabra always reported I was connected, so I guess is a toss up between the two. Charging is only via micro USB, not USB-C. However, the custom cable provided in the package also has pass-through 3.5mm audio. The headphones charge fine with any micro usb cable.

I have been through three different manufacturers trying to find ear buds that work for me and I finally found the perfect pair! They are light, stay put around my neck, sound great, stay connected even when my phone is in the other room, and no static!

Huge sound from these small buds! The sound is great and the nose cancelling helps. The noise cancelling is not as good as some other much more expensive products but the sound is great. I would've bought several if they had them in stock! I travel extensively for work and things get lost, damaged and stolen. But at this price it's OK. WELL DONE PLANTRONICS!!!

I was skeptical but bought them anyway. Glad I did, they are a tremendous product for the price point. There are many better wireless sets out there, but I do recommend these without saying that any other particular brand/model is better or worse. They sound excellent, solid battery life

I was really surprised by how well these buds produce a full range of sound including bass. A further plus is the phone app which allows one to select one of two automatic noise cancellations settings and one of two different equalizers. Very pleased with this product.

Hi! Thank you for your honest review on our Backbeat GO 410 headset, however we are sorry to hear you were not able to find a comfortable and secure fit even after trying all of the included ear tip sizes. These headsets are designed to fit the vast majority of ear shapes and sizes; however, we do know that one size may not fit all and if you find the product too uncomfortable for normal use we strongly recommend that you consider using a headset with a different wearing style. We will forward your comments and feedback to our team for future consideration. Please don't hesitate to contact our Customer Care Team at 800-985-9815 if you require assistance. plantronics

Works well. Good sound. However, there are two minor issues. 1st, it took to long to charge from the computer, but it charges swiftly using the outlet plug adapter from a smart phone. 2nd, the control is somewhat difficult to operate because of its small size.

I have bought about 5 headphones and I was really hoping that at this price point I wouldn't have people always telling me they can't hear me. They are comfortable enough. The battery had a decent whole day life but I don't have them on all day.

Hello! Thank you for your review on our Backbeat GO 410 headset, however, we are sorry to hear about your experience. If you are experiencing some audio issues with the microphone of the headset, it could be caused by a bad connection. You may want to try resetting the Bluetooth connection with your mobile. To do so: 1) Unpair the headset from your mobile phone by accessing your Bluetooth settings. 2) Power off your mobile phone for 2 minutes and turn it back on. 3) Re-pair the headset. With the headset powered off, click and hold down the center button until you hear "pairing". 4) Access your Bluetooth settings and select "PLT_BBGO 410". Once successfully paired, you will hear "pairing successful". You may also want to reset the headset and check if it doesn't have any updates available through the "Backbeat" mobile app. Last but not least, we recommend testing the headset with a different mobile to completely isolate the issue. If for some reason you still encounter the same issue, then it means the headset has an actual problem and it is best to replace it. Remember this unit counts with a limited warranty since the first day of purchase, and if you need a replacement you can simply click on the following link for further instructions: https://bit.ly/2N637EC. Our intention is to provide the highest quality products to our customers and we thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. Quickly becoming my favorite BT earbuds

This is my first time using an around-the-neck style earbud. I gave the Plantronics Back Beat Go 410 a short charge upon receipt as I typically do with all new devices, but it apparently arrived fully charged. After connecting the Go 410 to my Pixel 2 XL, I installed the recommended Back Beat App from the Google Play store. Once the app was installed and running, it offers some handy end-user features like ANC controls and a limited Equalizer option. For the ANC ( Active Noise Cancellation), there are 3 options. The Off setting, as implied, turns off all noise cancellation (allowing even minor background noises to be heard). The Low setting turns on the lowest level of noise cancellation, while the High setting is the strongest of the noise cancellation and attempts to block out the noisiest environments. I did three tests of the ANC. In test one, I had a TV playing in the background while I was listening to an audiobook. Turns out I could hear the TV in the background regardless of the ANC setting, although the higher the ANC setting the more muted the TV sounded. Still, you could hear the TV even on the highest setting. For the second test, I had the TV playing in the background but played some low volume blues music. With ANC off, I could still hear some of the TV but it was pretty muted. Continuing with the same song but with ANC on Low, most of the TV noise was gone. With ANC on High, I couldn’t hear the TV at all. For my third test, I went on a walk where there was considerable after work traffic and where the speed limit is posted at 50mph. With ANC off and listening to my audiobook, you could plainly hear the traffic and plenty of wind noise. ANC at the Low setting helped a lot, while ANC at the High setting pretty much blotted out all wind or traffic noise. The equalizer has two settings, Base and Bright. Bass boosts the low frequencies and, in my opinion, provided for me the best all around sound. The Bright option boosts the high frequencies, but wasn’t to my liking as much as the Bass option. I was pleasantly surprised by the earbuds themselves. I typically have to swap out numerous wings and tips before I find a good fit. The tips that came standard on these buds, however, fit perfectly. Not sure how they did that but it was a really good fit. There are additional tips provided if the ones installed aren’t to your liking. A feature that Plantronics calls Magnetic Smart Sensors comes in pretty handy. Essentially, if you touch the rear of the two earbuds together, magnets will lock the two earbuds together. When locked as such, the earbuds turn off Bluetooth and ANC to conserve battery power. Pull the earbuds apart, and Bluetooth and ANC are both turned back on. For battery life, you will get up to 8 hours if you use ANC, and up to 12 hours if ANC is off. The charging cable that comes with these earbuds allows you to change the cable into a 3.5mm adapter. Plug one end of the charging cable into the earbuds, you could still listen to audio if your Go 410 was out of battery power by plugging the 3.5mm adapter into an audio port from an airplane’s headphone jack. Or perhaps your phone’s headphone jack, if it has one. The Go 4190’s are sweat resistant and, how nice, are compatible with Bose eartips. Okay, so maybe the Bose eartips aren’t the biggest issue here, but Bose eartips are definitely a nice to have if the included Plantronics eartips aren’t providing a comfortable fit for you. From a weight perspective, I was curious how heavy the Go 410 would be. However, the earbuds seemed especially light and the strap was almost unnoticeable during use. All-in-all, these earbuds are quickly rising to being one of my favorites. I think they sound great!

I use mostly for computer based conf calls instead of the laptop speakers. Bluetooth connection works well. I find the magnetic “connection” helpful as I keep these on for long periods so they don’t dangle around too much plus it cuts off some features to save battery. Quality for the price.
