I bought these for my wife because she love the look of the white and her we couldn't find the proper replacement gels online for her last Plantronics headset. She had the mid level Plantronics just below the Voyager Edge model. My wife has sensitive ears, when it comes to comfort, so I was quite concerned when I opened the packaging to find only 1 size gel was included. To our surprise it was a good and comfortable fit. As another bonus this louder than her other headset ever had been. They are definitely worth the full retail price although I found them on a great sale. I even went down and bought a second one for her because she was so pleased.

I have had an older Plantronics headset for about 6 years. It finally broke ( I washed and dried it with my laundry). I bought the Explorer 505 as a replacement. It looks pretty much the same as my older Bluetooth headset. The only difference is that it doesn't seem as loud as my older headset. I wish it had type-c charging, but otherwise, it's perfect for me. I have a few stereo Bluetooth earphones (Jabra 75t, Samsung Buds), but I prefer this type when I drive or just talk on the phone because I think it sounds clearer.

Lets me hook up my personal and work phones at the same time. So far so good. Some times it does cut out for no reason, but the glitches don't outweigh the convenience.

Really does have 7 hrs talk time. Very comfortable even though it has a "one size fits all" earbud. Feels weightless in my ear. Voice command recognition is flawless as is how I hear the party talking to me and how I sound to them. Easiest volume control to use of any headset I've ever used. Redial function not working with my phone but the last headset stopped doing that too. I suspect an Android update compatibility issue but using voice command to dial is so easy, I really don't care about the lost redial capability anymore.

I have always chosen Plantronics earpieces over other brands, because they've always proven to be high quality construction, design, and performance. My second choice was Motorola when Plantronics was not available. I recently lost this one, and couldn't find another or an equivalent Motorola (who no longer makes these from my understanding). I bought a Jabra at the equivalent price point and product line, and was VERY disappointed.

This Bluetooth makes me miss my old Motorola. When you receive a call the Plantronics doesn't give you the # that's calling you. You either need to blindly answer or pick up your phone to see who's calling. Somtimes when the phone rings the device doesn't tell you there's a call. Has good sound but that's the best I can say about this device.

Thank you for your honest review on our Explorer 505. This model does not feature caller announce and it won't tell you the name or number of an incoming call's contact. If you're looking for a headset with this feature we recommend that you consider our Voyager Edge, Voyager Legend or Voyager 5200.
