Great Wireless Surround Headset for the PricePoint

This is a great wireless headset for the price. I use it primarily on the Xbox One X, though I have used in on several Windows PCs and it works well there too. The headset is surprisingly light and since the cups surround the ears, they are comfortable even during long gaming sessions. I regularly wear glasses while gaming since contacts dry my eyes out and this headset is comfortable even when wearing glasses. The headset accommodates different head sizes with 3 different positions on the frame. I moved the headset to the largest size and it fits me just fine. The included Dolby Atmos code unlocks the Atmos features which add and extra degree of "height" to the already great surround sound. This feature is very cool but I wouldn't call it a make it or break it feature, more of a "nice to have" feature. The battery lasts a very long time, I usually only charge it once a week, but that is going to vary depending on how often you use it and your volume preferences. The microphone is good. I love how you just flip the mic up to mute it, no fumbling for a mute button. It's also great to have separate volume knobs for game/movie volume and chat volume. The one feature I WISH this headset had is the ability to listen to audio from my computer and audio from the Xbox One X game I am playing at the same time. The reason is that Xbox party chat does not usually sound as good as Discord chat. I would much rather jump into a Discord room for chat and have the Xbox Game audio play at the same time. This is possible with the very popular Astro A50 but in fairness, the A50s cost twice as much as the Plantronics Rig 800 LX. That's why I say the RIG is a GREAT headset for the price point. A minor gripe, but one that still bugs me, is that when you cycle through the presets, the name of the preset isn't spoken. This seems like a HUGE miss by Plantronics. When you power up the headset a pleasant female voice announces "Power On...Battery Low Medium or High...Headset Connected" That is awesome. There is a button on the bottom left ear cup that allows you to cycle through 4 preset EQ modes. I cannot, for the life of me remember what they were called because I tossed the instructions but they were something like Movie, Dialogue, Game, and Sport. When you pres the EQ button you hear either 1, 2, 3, or 4 beeps to let you know which mode you are on. It would have been SOOOO easy for Plantronics to have the same female voice that gives you the startup info SAY Movie, Dialogue, Game, or Sport as you cycle through the presets. Maybe this can be added in a firmware update? How bout it, Plantronics? I know you read these reviews;) I would also have loved a travel case and charging dock instead of no carry case and a Micro USB cable for charging but again, We are at the $150 price point and it's the $300 headsets that have features like that. Would be nice if they sold a travel case separately because I'd love to take these on the go. Pros Great Atmos surround sound Light and Comfortable Adjustable size mechanism works great Long Battery Life Easy mute mic Cons Speakers clip at higher volumes no matter which EQ Preset is used Cannot hear Xbox One game audio and PC audio at the same time No charging dock/cradle

Plantronics - RIG 800LX SE Wireless Headset Xbox

Best gaming wireless headset for Xbox One! I picked up the Xbox One X (Scorpio Edition) on release date and have a horrible time trying to link my headset I've been using since Xbox360. My previous headset was a $300 Steelseries Wireless H (renamed Siberia 800). Although stated as wireless, it's really not when it comes to Xbox. Audio to the headset is no issue, as the audio is connected via optical port with the Steelseries hub. However, I still have to run a 3.5mm jack from my headset to the controller for chat to work (meaning not a true wireless headset). The issue is, Xbox have no bluetooth integration similar to PS4, so using my headset is not a true wireless. Nor does Xbox have USB audio function. That means, your third-party mic will not work with Xbox One if using through USB. The problem with my Steelseries Wireless H (Siberia 800) for the Xbox headset is the 3.5mm jack itself. 1. When connecting the 3.5mm jack from my headset to the controller, the headset doesn't pick up right away. When in party chat, no mic is picked up. I have to constantly unplug, and replug the 3.5mm jack to the controller until the mic picks up. This needs to be done every time I boot up the Xbox. 2. The 3.5mm jack gets in the way. Sometimes I would accidentally unplug the wire from the headset or controller while playing games. Once unplug, issue number 1 as stated above happens again and you need unplug and plug constantly until the mic picks up again. And when communication is critical in a FPS team game, this will ensure you will lose. 3. Mic is very low. Not sure if the mic needs a patch, but my friends say that my mic is very low and that they can't hear me. It's like I'm very far from the mic. And being unable to hear me, I feel like I couldn't communicate with my team at all in critical FPS moments. After being fed up with the Steelseries Wireless H headset, I searched online for the best current Xbox headset and found the Plantronics RIG 800LX SE Wireless Headset. With so many mix reviews, I was debating between going with the Astro50, Steelseries Arctis, or the Plantronics. The Plantronics RIG 800LX SE won me over because it came with features that I liked. PROS: 1. This headset offers Dolby Atmos that other headsets do not. The headset comes with a code through Redeeming from the Xbox Store, and gives you a full sound experience. This gives you a quality sound and will be able to hear enemies footsteps all around you. Playing Black Ops 4 Blackout with my friends, I was able to hear footsteps, vehicles, and gun-fire before any of them. I was also able to pinpoint exactly where the noise is coming from. What amazes me even more was being able to hear insects chirping in a section of the map that I never knew was there before. Great detail to surrounding sounds. 2. Finally! A true wireless headset. Unlike the Steelseries, this headset does not need a 3.5mm headset jack from the headset to the controller. This was a deal breaker for me. All that is needed is the little hub connected to one of your USB port on the Xbox One. Then you're set! That's it! It felt so weird not having a wire running from my headset to controller, that I get paranoid sometimes thinking I might rip the wire off like my Steelseries. 3. Very easy connection from headset to Xbox. I leave the USB attached to Xbox. Everytime I start up my Xbox, I also start up my headset. The headset will connect automatically to the Xbox and a voice will tell you it's linked. How convenient is that? The voice will also tell you upon turning on the headset, the power level of the headset, and if linked to Xbox. 4. The mic gives you the option of adjusting game volume to chat volume. If your friends through chat are too loud, you can adjust the knob wheel on the headset to game volume and vice versa. Very convenient feature when your friends have kids crying very loud in the background and you want to hear the in-game sound instead. 5. The price point is also a deal breaker. Picked this headset up during this Black Friday (2018) for $120 before taxes. I wasn't going to drop another $300 for Astro50 when my Steelseries ($300) fail to deliver. It was a great price point for quality that I just can't pass up. CONS: 1. Slightly lower overall volume compared to my Steelseries Wireless H. The max volume is not as loud, but don't get fooled. Plantronics is loud enough to hear surroundings. Just not as loud in comparison. But then again, you don't want to be deaf. 2. At times, but rarely, you can hear static on very loud game sounds. This isn't a deal breaker for me. It just means I have the mic on way too loud and need to lower it a bit. Shouldn't be listening to game this loud anyways. Overall, highly recommend this headset, especially if you can pick it up on a discount like Black Friday. You will not be disappointed. After reading mix reviews, I did add the additional 2-year protection from Geek Squad from Best Buy just in case. I've been using this headset for the last 2-days right out of the box on medium power level, and have not charged since then. Great power battery life as well. Highly recommend.

    The Most Comfortable Headphones

I was trying to use my Logitech g933 7.1 speakers for gaming on my Xbox One, but the cable connected to the controller was annoying, and truthfully, they are not all that comfortable to wear for any length of gaming. I wanted something a would not mind wearing for extended gaming sessions and something that just worked wirelessly with my Xbox. Since I had pre-ordered my Xbox One X I figured I would find something new. I fell in love with these headphones the moment I put them on. They are super comfortable. They are wireles. They will last up to 24 hours of gaming on a single charge. And, the icing on the cake was they support Dolby Atmos - which is an advancement includes in the Xbox One X. The sound was just okay when I tried it in standard mode, but there are four different EQ settings and a couple of them bring out the mid’s and bass. I did notice if there is too much bass and you are using the setting enhancing the bass the most, it would tend to distort on explosions. The surround.works as well as any other headphone I have tried. I am not as familiar in what to listed for to rate the effectiveness of the Dolby Atmos, but i had no issues determining where the sounds originated. I, also, have t tried them out on Computer gaming. I have saved my Logitech g933’s for convenience to not have to swap headphones around when moving from Xbox to PC. One other note to consider is that I have to unplug the wireless headphones to use the Dolby Atmos on my sound bar. It seems the Dolby app will only configure itself for either the stereo/sound bar with Atmos or the headphones one at a time. The sound bar I am using is the LG SJ9.

I was looking to purchase a new surround sound headset to use with my Xbox One. I had been using (mostly wireless) Astro A50s for a couple of years. When they worked, they worked great... but I had a lot of trouble with the wire that plugs into the controller. No matter what brand of wire I bought as a replacement, it would always stop working every handful of weeks. Eventually I said enough is enough and wanted to purchase a fully wireless solution. The RIG 800LX SE was on my list because of it's price, being fully wireless, and coming with Dolby Atmos for free. I'm so glad I made the switch. The RIG battery life is amazing compared to my old headset, the cans are more comfortable on my ears (I wear glasses, so every headset is a little different in terms of comfort), and the sound quality is just as good. Compared to my other Astros, sounds from the RIG are better in some situations and worse in others. The RIG seem to struggle in spots where there are multiple high-bass sounds going off at the same time (like multiple explosions in a game) but the RIG are also way better at handling those small, detailed, subtle sounds (like footsteps or atmospheric sounds). I'm hearing things that I never heard before using my Astros. The RIG are super easy to set up and use. Definitely prefer these to my Astros in terms of setup. Just one small connection is made from my Xbox to the headset's receiver and boom I'm ready to go. I can control voice/game volumes independently and being able to mute myself by simply flipping the mic up is a useful feature that I didn't know I needed. There is no chat echo whatsoever, which is a problem I used to have with my Astros. Overall, I'm super happy with these. The free bonus of Dolby Atmos is a cherry on top of an already delicious sundae. The RIG provide an unreal value.

I wanted to wait to do a review because I've owned so many gaming headsets it's not funny. I'm an avid gamer and so headsets for me are used several times a week. I have gone through many "decent" headsets that have died. I was a bit worried about plantronics at first despite reviews because I'm not a fan of their office products. But I am so glad that this headset was different. I have owned this a year now and hands down best set I have ever owned. Pros: - comfortable for long term wear - adjustable - the wireless continues working even if your controller batteries die since it is connected to xbox - can leave your system on to chat with people even if you turn on another system also to play on such as if you want to play ps4 but your friends on xbox want to talk - true surround with the included Dolby digital. Fortnite is a good example since they use total surround and directional audio - the wireless range on this is INSANE. In a 2000 square foot space, i can go from the upstairs to basement level and it still stays connected almost anywhere in the home. - impressively long battery life - noise cancellation is not 100% but it does pretty decent for certain edible ranges. Blocks out talking and such pretty well. Cons: - every once in a while it will unsynch when it has been off. Just have to redo the synch button. Real easy. Usually it reconnects itself even when it has been off. - sometimes party chat will cause game sound to drop and you have to readjust the sound balance wheel on the headset Overall I really recommend this set. The couple of glitch things it has are not enough to outweigh all the great things about it. And frankly, after having to toss more than 15 headsets in my time, I appreciate the reliability and consistency of the Plantronics RIG.

I previously and still currently own 7.1 Surround Sound Turtle Beach PX5 (from 2011 @ $250). While the turtle beach headset is still a 5 star rating to me, I would recommend this RIG 800LX for the xbox one x. The reviews where people are stating lack of sound is most likely because they didn't adjust the wheel volume of the chat/game mixer volume. Wear the headset and play a game to get the volume you prefer. While your mates talk to you, adjust the chat/game volume (TOP wheel located on the left earbud of the headset). I adjust mine to hear my friends as much as possible. After that, you then should adjust the game volume ( BOTTOM/LOWER wheel located on the left earbud) to hear the sounds of the game itself. Once you adjust to your liking, you will hear the difference and know that it wasn't a waste a money. The main differences between my Turtle Beach PX5 (2011 model @ $250) are Dolby Atmos and bluetooth connectivity from the headset to your cell phone. Although the RIG 800 doesn't feature a bluetooth to connect to your phone for talk or music use, it does make up for it while gaming or watching a movie. I would also like to note that I never even used or use my gaming headset for my cell phone anyway so for me personally, I overpaid for a turtle beach headset all because I thought I would use it for gaming and phone. Lastly, this is true wireless (unlike my previous Turtle Beach PX5). No adapters and no 3.5mm cord connected to your controller. Just plug the receiver of the headset into the xbox (i use the front USB), turn on the headset, and pair it. In all, i cannot speak for the new Turtle Beach headsets now, but I can say that I would recommend EITHER ONE of these brands as I have personal experience with both.

The best of something tends to also be one of the most expensive options. So at half the cost of some of the most premium headphones out there, I was hesitant. But I read review after review and these kept popping up near the top. Plus I was getting these for the Xbox One X and wanted to experience Dolby Atmos, which these come with a code to unlock it on the Xbox. First game I played with these was Forza 7. I had been playing it already for about a month prior. As soon as I put these headphones on it was like an entirely new game and world. I could hear all sorts of things I wasn't able to before. I could hear the windshield wipers all of a sudden, the rain drops on the windshield just like in real life. I could hear when I drove over different surfaces like a metal grate. It just put me that much more into the game. I also played a little bit of Pubg with these and same thing, I could hear everything. Sounds are just so clear, it's amazing. These things are super comfortable too. Easily adjustable for a perfect fit and lightweight. Best part is that I can now game late at night when everyone else is sleeping and I don't have to worry about the sound being too loud and waking people up. Mic is good as far as I know. I've streamed a few times with these and haven't heard any complaints so I guess the mic works just fine. I do love the fact that all you have to do is put the mic in the up position and it instantly mutes it, can't really get much easier than that. Overall I highly recommend these. They make gaming so much better that it's one of the things I look most forward to in gaming, and a must for streaming. Even if I'm not streaming or alone in the house without worry of waking people up I still wear these.

After struggling trying to decide what headset to buy, I decided on these. I was mainly wanting a wireless xbox headset with good sound quality. Was also trying to avoid spending $300. So I went with these, knowing of the common complaint of poor bass. As soon I hooked them up to my xbox I went straight to the dolby app to try out the atmos and sure enough, bass static and sounded terrible in regards to bass. So I started researching and found the fix almost instantly. I'll post the thread I read on reddit which corrected the bass issue. Once I figured it out, everything has been INCREDIBLE. Super long battery life, totally wireless and super comfy. Truly a great headset once you read and understand what caused the bass issue. Super easy fix. "I've seen people complaining about audio crackle or bass issues. This is easily corrected by turning the chat volume (top volume dial) on the headset down as low as you can go without losing your content's audio, then adjust audio accordingly with the bottom volume control. This headset acts like other headsets I've seen where your game/movie/TV show audio comes through on the chat channel as well. Doing this makes SIGNIFICANT improvements in the Dolby Atmos audio." https://www.reddit.com/r/xboxone/comments/7mtgiy/rig_800_lx_pro_tip/

I was skeptical to buy these just because they are brand new. I saw the 4 reviews left on them and thought it was spam. Haha. No one had even put a full review on YouTube either. To be honest I have the turtle beach 500x series and love them, but as time goes on after 3 years they have broken on me. I went and bought the turtle beach 700s....DON'T BUY THOSE. EVEN AFTER FIRMWARE UPDATE, THEY HAD A LOUD RING TO THEM. Returned them and went with the 800lx. The Dolby Atmos is crazy good. It makes it sound like your at the theaters. Tried it with Madden 18 and I gotta say I was impressed. Now while scrolling through the Xbox menu I did notice it would ring from time to time but it would stop as long as I went and highlighted another widget. I would go back and it would do it again sometimes. It was not enough to where I said "I'm going to return these now!" Like I did the 700s Turtle Beach. I tried the 800lx's with some movies and they were just amazing as well. Pros : lightweight Awesome surround sound Comfortable Convenience of the mic being muted Bass boost for music Price for wireless headset Easy set up Noise cancelling Scroll to the importance of chat or game sound to your preference Fit (adjustability) Cons: small ringing from time to time (could be because it's RF based and I have a lot of electronics in the area) Non detachable Mic (not to important to me but just a heads up for others)

I’m a audio person. I own several headphones for gaming, music, and movies. I have spent thousand of dollars on headsets. Including turtle beach, Astro, vmoda, Razr, and more. I can honestly say that none of them can compare to this headset. So I feel I got a good judgement on rating these products and give you a honest review. With that being said this headset is the best headset for the price that’s on the market. Super comfortable and I can game all day with no discomfort. The sound is top notch from the crips clear clean highs and mids to the heavy lows. No distortion and they get loud! Sound is better than what I expected for the price. Durability seems to be great as well. The best part is battery life. For a wireless headset these have excellent battery life and charging speeds. No lag and no disconnections. The Dolby Atmos Surround is mind blowing good. I can honestly say that this headset is nearly perfect! I rate it a full 5 stars. Haven’t found any cons or any problems. If you’re looking for a headset and read this review don’t look any further! Just buy this headset and you will thank yourself for doing so.

Don't rush to judgment on this headset. I came very close to returning the headset due to distortion of loud effects requiring base response. The sound was not good when I first tried them but then I read a Best Buy customer review by "SippOnThat" and found that turning the game / chat mixer down eliminated the issue all together. I found that rotating the game / voice mixer dial by approximately 1 1/2 notches downward (more chat oriented) eliminated the issue completely and only slightly reduced the overall game volume. I have played BF1 with the mix turned up, and it is still acceptable with the EQ setting on 1 tone. I replaced a set of TB Stealth 500X's because the band broke and I am happy with my choice in comparison. Volume is good, they are very comfortable and lightweight, and the Atmos App in junction with the headset provide outstanding surround effects. and spacial awareness. I also like the way they look and the band adjustment. Bang for the buck is great and they go on sale occasionally.

The Rig 800LX by Plantronics for Xbox is the best mid ranged priced wireless headset on the market in my opinion. I've tested 3 other major brands (all were returned for a refund) along with these and Im happy to say I love this one. The good... These were the most comfortable pair. I do wear glasses and these dont give me any sort of headache. These were built for comfort. It feels pretty sturdy and they have soft breathable cloth/memory foam earcups not that fake leather stuff. The frame is light weight. The headset puts a support cloth head band between the frame and top of your head for more comfortable supprt. The sound is amazing especially with the free Dolby Atmos surround sound download. (Theres plenty of bass incase you were wondering). And it has 4 listening presets. Easy use dials for volume and chat/game play balance. The flip up mute for the boom mic is great. Up to 24 hr battery life on a single charge. Now the not so good. It doesnt come with Mic Monitoring enabled. So youre going to have to trust your speaking volume. And it charges through usb-b. I wish is was through usb-c. And thats it. Im really glad I purchased these. They dont disappoint.

Seriously. Get these things if you're even considering them. I can hear things that I couldn't hear before. Most comfortable headset I've ever owned. VERY lightweight. Battery life does actually last 24 hours. Easy to charge. Plug USB into Xbox overnight and you'll have a full charge to last at least a week. If you play shooters (PubG, Fortnite, COD...) Buy these. I can PINPOINT people shooting from 500m away. You hear every little thing. Was hesitant on the wireless - many told me not to get them. I like having the ability to walk around where I want and not have to carry around the controller. Range on these things are great. It easily went through 3 walls and no dropout of audio. Mic is great - friends say the audio quality is better than previous mic used. 4 EQ settings - I personally prefer the Pure EQ & Intensify (Beep 1 & 2). There is ZERO latency or delay with the headset as well. Only issue I have had over the past few days was I had to re-pair the headphones to get the audio to work. Will comment on that later if the issue persists. My main reason for buying a new headset was comfort. I game for hours on end. I needed something that will be light and easy on the ears. I put them to the test with 7 hours of gaming and little breaking. My ears had some fatigue, but at least there was no pain compared to my old headset. Well worth the investment if you're even remotely serious about gaming.

I bought these on sale over the weekend to use with an Xbox One X. Packaging was barebones but had all the necessary items to hook things up. There is no USB power adapter included for charging, only a USB cable. I guess they expect you to plug them in to the console for charging. I had a spare charger lying around so it wasn't a big issue. They are the most comfortable headphones of any brand I have ever owned. I've tried Philips, Sony, Bose, and Beats. I have a very large (obese) head and these were easy to adjust and fit my head without any discomfort. My first day trying them out I played for over 6 hours without issue. I want to make it clear that I dropped 1 star off of my review for one single reason: the setup instructions that come with these are completely and utterly useless. It's nothing but a 4 pane comic of pressing a sync button. No description whatsoever of what to connect or when to sync to actually get these to work. After much frustration I finally turned the headset off and tried turning them back on again after which audio finally came through the headset. I had already synced the headset but for the life of me could not figure out why there was no sound coming through them. Plantronics website has zero documentation for this particular model as well and their supposed video setup guide is for a completely different wired product that uses RCA cables. SERIOUSLY!

By far one of the best headsets I have ever owned for my Xbox. First they are completely wireless. You can get up and walk away from your controller and Xbox cord free and still hear and talk. Huge plus there. Second they come with the Dolby Atmos code to unlock Dolby for Xbox. This helps simulate Atmos surround for your headset which is vital for games like PUBG and Blackout on Call of Duty Blackops 4. Knowing where the enemy is coming from is crucial. They have a 24 hour battery life and I’m not sure if that’s 100% correct but I can play hours at a time and not charge them for days. Battery life is great. Last they are super comfortable. Again I can wear these for hours at a time, some as long as 8-10 hour stretches and not hurt my head. I’ve had turtle beaches that sounded great but after and hour or two they would start to give me a headache if I didn’t relax them off my head. The only complaint I have about these is the chat to game mixer volume is not the best. It seems like there could be a little more adjustment, because when I try to turn the game volume up and the chat down it goes from a seems like a lot of chat volume to none. I’d like a little more adjustability there. Overall the price point that these are and the great features make this headset one of the best in my opinion.

First I will get into my complaints that prevent these headphones from getting 5 stars. The last two sets of headphones (Turtle Beach Stealth 800's and Astro A50's) I've had had charging docks after having a dock for so long it is disappointing not to have one. With that said there is no excuse for not having a USB C connection for chagrining. The old USB type plugs suck and need to go away now. As for everything else I love these headphones, they can get a little hot maybe hotter than my A50's but it's tough to tell. They are certainly no where near as hot at the Stealth 800's. I've seen complaints about ambient noise in videos on YouTube, I've asked the people that I game with if this is problem and none of them have issues with it. Two days after I got them my puppy took them off the ottoman and ran out the dog door with them. He was running around in the snow thrashing the heck out of them and didn't want to give them back. I thought for sure they were going to be dead, they were full of snow when I got them back one of the ear pads was off (which isn't very easy to get back on). I left them on the mantel to dry for several hours and they worked like nothing had happened. This is my 5th set of headphones, I've paid much more for much less quality and durability. If these break I'm heading right down to the store to get another set.

I haven't had many headsets in the xbox gaming career, from the cheap chat only one earpiece ones that started with the original xbox and then I had one similar for the xbox 360. Then a few years ago I thought I would step up the quality and spend a bit more money on a pair and bought an older model of the turtle beach headsets. These were decent for the main reason I bought them (not to wake people while I was blowing stuff up at all hours of the night) but I was really disappointed with the lack of ability to change chat/game volume levels independently. That's when I startedd looking for a new headset. I didn't want to spend $300 for some of the "top end models". That's when I cam across the Plantronics RIG 800LX. I am very impressed with the volume level and ability to control the chat volume and game volume to my liking. The Dolby Atmos feature is very cool and even with games that don't fully support it yet the sound will be upmixed and sounds better than just in stereo. These are also very lightweight and comfortable. I was so impressed with these I went out and bought some for my daughter so we can actually hear each other while playing fortnite together. I highly recommend this product

This headset is amazing. It sounds great. My Clan mates and people I get into parties with say it sounds way better than the Astros or X07 I have been using. Really easy to connect, flip the mic up to mute and has controls to allow you to balance both ingame and party chat volume distribution to the headset. Battery life had been great while I am using it and the Price is really amazing. There are no cords, I mean none that connect to the headset. That means your controller is not tethered to your head in any way and the headset has nothing tying it to anything. You can however use this headset while it is plugged in and charging. I have not had to do this however because like I said battery has been amazing and I have done some all day session with the headset. The only drawback and I am not the only one to have this problem. There must have been a printing issue for the included Atmos activation card for the headset. My code said it had already been activated. When searching online it appears many people have been having this issue. Reach out ot Plantronics and Microsoft to get this fixed. It will be worth it. This is the only reason I dropped it from a full 5 stars.

I have had the regular xbox headset ever since i got my xbox one a couple years ago but have had some turtle beaches in the past. I was looking for a wireless headset that i could use that was comfy and was made with quality. I have always known turtle beach to be up there for the known brands. I chose this based off of design, battery life, and compatibility. After i started using it i loved it! I got nervous thinking the turtle beach 420x+ (same price) may be better so i went and purchased it to compare. I had it on my head for one game of halo and immediatly hated it. The headband and earcups were no where near as comfortable and i returened it the next day. The only reason i am not giving this 5 stars is because of the game/mic volume scroll being the same and not separated; other than that this is one of the best headsets i have ever worn. Pros: Great Battery Life Great looking design SUPER COMFORTABLE Love the mic mute by flipping it up Easy to use Dolby Atmos is amazing (and free with this headset) Cons: I wish it had mic monitoring so i could hear myself (hopefully an update or a new model will have it) I wish you could adjust the game volume and mic volume separately instead of it being on one knob that you turn to what you want to hear more

I was getting these to replace my razer threshers as so many people had told me these where amazing. I took them out of the box hooked them up and put them on. I will say this they are the most comfortable headset I have ever used hands down. The wireless range is also good. But the sound... well it's lacking in quality and that's the most important part. I listened to a few videos from the Dolby Atmos for Xbox app and it just didn't sound right I also tried out the 4 different presets on it still did not improve. I then put back on my razers and watched the same videos and it was a huge noticeable difference. Base and deep sounds where full, higher tones weren't crackly. Needless to say I put these back in the box and will be returning them. If you don't know any better or haven't had any better I'm sure you will love them but for roughly the same price get yourself a pair of Razer Thresher headphones and you won't be disappointed. It might be that the razers use 50mm drivers while RIGs use 40mm drivers I don't know but I can say I won't be looking at RIGs again.
