    The Ultimate Bluetooth Device

I just purchased the Plantronic Voyager Legend at Best Buy, returning the Jabra Extreme 2, which works great, but the voice quality is not up to par. The Plantronic costs $100, well I got it for $80 because Best Buy matched a competitive online retailer's price. I read reviews about the Plantronic Voyager Legend and decided to try it out. I am happy I did: pairing took about 15 seconds, the voice quality is superb--my wife didn't complain that she couldn't hear me this time; the music which I am listening to right now sounded great with hi-fi and bass quality. The voice command for outgoing calls, e-mails and text messages pass the test with distinction. I am pleased with this purchase and I am happy that I follow my instinct with this one. Everything is lovable about this legendary device and nothing to complain about, except for the size which is not a defect.

Read multiple reviews on this product before purchase. This is the 3rd bluetooth earpiece I have had and I have not been happy with the previous. I've used this one daily for the week and so far so good. A little disappointed with the proprietary charging system so I may pick up the charging case to protect it in the car.

One of the best BT headsets I've owned

Despite all the negative reviews in regards to compatibility of this BT headset with the iPhone 5, I was so intrigued by its feature set, that I chose to test it out regardless and come to my own conclusions and yes, I agreed with all of the warnings and reviews that have been written in regards to use of this headset and the iPhone 5 however, those problems have all been resolved as Plantronics addressed them in a firmware update on 11/2/2012 (firmware v 94). All of the issues and complaints are now gone! Kudos to them for addresses the problems! And with that being said, I can now highly recommend this BT headset and I've owned my fair share of BT headsets over the years.

I'm on the phone a lot! I run a large internet marketing firm, and I have 150+ call days regularly. ALL of my calls are iphone + Bluetooth headset. I've been a longtime Voyager user, but I must say, this latest version, the Voyager Legend, is by FAR the best Bluetooth headset I've ever owned! Features galore! Amazing sound quality with very effective noise canceling technology and the best voice boom in the industry. Don't waste your time with anything else. If you're a professional who has to work the phone and keep your hands free, or if your hearing is not what it used to be...look no further! The Voyager Legend is the one, and BestBuy is the place!!

I see i lot of reviews for the iPhone 5 about it being the worst Bluetooth, i haven't experienced any problems with it so far. I love the clarity of my calls, it has great battery life. I would highly recommend this Bluetooth if you have a galaxy S3.

I have had about 3 of these, only because I work outside and sweat a ridiculous amount. I absolutely love it because I can hook both my personal phone and my work phone to it at the same time, and the no hassle return for the warranty is absolutely amazing!

In the last six months, I have tried Bose, Jawbone, Motorola Sliver and Blue Ant Q2. THis is by far the best. It stays paired. The construction is solid (unlike the Motorola). The battery life is amazing.

This is fairly unbelievable but it is true. I was meeting with someone in a place of business so I had removed my Legend and put it in my jacket pocket. Later, I left that location and drove to another place about 40 miles away, and that is when I decided to put my legend back on, only to find it was not there. I decided that I had left it at the last place I was, drove the 40 miles back to re-trace my steps. I pulled into the very same parking spot that I was in before, opened the door, looked down and there was my Legend...with tire tracks on it. Either my car or another car had driven over it, and I picked it up expecting it to fall apart in my hand. It did not..it was not even damaged other than a few dents in the screening. Then I fired it up and it WORKED. That was 4 months ago, still using the same legend today and no one has ever said anything about call clarity problems. Any other Bluetooth device would have been in fragments.

Legend is better than the Pro

Incredible call quality. Told "doesn't sound like you're on a bluetooth headset." It's a little thing, but rethinking the buttons on the device makes a huge difference in usability. Call answer is faster, so great to have a on/off switch instead of a press and hold button, and a separate mute button has been wanted for awhile. This is my third or fourth Plantronics bluetooth headset and it's the best one yet.

The sound was great. My callers could hear me clearly and I them. I'm a truck driver so there is a lot of noise. So I was happy with it except it wouldn't stay in my ear. I had to hold it in defeating the purpose of having a Bluetooth. Took it back.....

Love the call quality and the sound is great on this Plantronics Bluetooth. Pairing was easy when I turned the Plantronics Bluetooth on it was ready to connect with my Samsung Galaxy SIII. I push scan on my phone and rest was done by the bluetooth paired ready to use. I also like the features that tells you who is calling and ask what would you like to do; answer, sent to voice mail or hang up. I did not give it a 5 Star for 2 reasons (1) the very very short cord used to charge the phone [6' or 8'] #2# The adapter use to plug into the bluetooth has been charged. Now you need 2 carry charger and their is no adapter for your car charger. I think they dropped the ball on this bluetooth with the 2 mentioned above features. I'm going to return it because I am not willing to carry 2 different chargers. I would recommand this to a friend but it there decision on the charging cord. I will buy the old version.

I love it , but was returned , why? PRO: Battery life, Sound quality, volumen control, easy to charge. CONS: constantly get disconnected , I'm using SAMSUN Galaxy S which not allow me to update the OS, that's maybe why.

    Okay headset

The headset itself is actually quite comfortable and I can wear it and forget about it completely. The only downside is that the actual earpiece part doesn't really fit in your ear and just kind of sits outside of it. As a result, even at the loudest volumes, I sometimes have trouble hearing if there's a lot of ambient noise. I'm going to exchange for a different headset.

    Disconnects constantly

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The headset will intermittently drop the connection to the phone leaving you scrambling for the phone and magically the connection re establishes which is the icing on the cake. Seems to happen around 3-4 minutes and reconnects after about 30 seconds. I'm seeing others complain about the same issue with Samsung Galaxy Note, IPHONE 5, and now my LG MS770. All are new phones. All I believe have bluetooth 4.0 which may be the issue. I contacted Plantronics for assistance which they provided a solution that did worked (take your battery off the phone)... until I turned the headset off/left the range of the headset. I contacted their tech support over the phone and by email and both situations they had no answer and justified it's inconsistency with "that phone has not been tested" I get testing phones is great to ensure you didn't miss anything but now we are talking about the newer phones which they list none on their compatibility list. Bluetooth in it's own right is a standard so compatibility is nothing more than do you have a phone with a version equal or higher than the headset. I felt the excuse was just that. No real answer or intention to find a solution. I swapped out the headset to make sure the problem wasn't isolated to that headset with the same results. I tried connecting the headset to my mom's old mytouch phone with no problems and no disconnects. They may want to call their newly minted model "Throwback" cause this just wont do for anyone buying a new phone. Very dissapointed with my findings and the final resolution. Taking headset back and will have to keep looking. Personal Note: Samsung hm1000 (v2.0), LG hbm-235 (3.0) and Motorola Sliver v3.0 work with phone. I did try the Plantronics Voyager HD PRO which had the same problem with an older model cell phone (LG Optimus M). I returned that because I didn't want to spend the money and didn't take the time to look into the immediate dropped calls. Clearly a sore subject that they are ignoring. Bottomline: Overpriced, firmware problems, great battery, but in the end totally unreliable. This issue doesn't apply to all, but if you have the same problem don't waste your time doing their job. Find another headset cause they gave no impression they have a clue to the problem which means it might be awhile if they fix this.

When I got my Samsung S4 my Plantronics PRO+, which had worked perfectly with my Android Bionic for more than a year, started "gurgling" for 2 full seconds every little while. Sometimes several times in 30 seconds, sometimes every few minutes. Like bad cassette tape dropouts, but steady for a full 2 seconds. Exchanged my S4. Same problem. Tried a PRO I had as a spare, S4 did the same thing. Plantronics exchanged the PRO+ for the Legend since I was not ready to trust the PRO series anymore, including the PRO HD. So far so good, tho I still hear that gurgling in the background occasionally. Before, it was so bad I would need to ask the person at the other end to repeat, now I can hear OK over it. Customer service was excellent. Very prompt replacement.

Best Ever...if not using an iPhone 5

This was the best headset I've owned, and I've owned several dozen over the years. However, it doesn't play well with the iPhone 5. It was absolutely flawless with the 4, but almost unusable with the 5. I rarely get through a call without dropping audio. The other person can hear me, but I can't hear them. It's as if they muted me. I have to open my audio sources, click off the headset and back on. This is terribly inconvenient. I am buying a replacement today. If you have a 5, don't buy this headset. I can't say for sure if it's an Apple or Plantronics problem, but based on all the chatter online for a very long period of time, I can't afford to wait around for a fix that doesn't appear will come.
