    No Car Charger

I have been using Bluetooth ever sine they come out, and I have NEVER paid $99.00 for one that did not come with some sort of car charger. I had to buy an adapter $15.99 and another cord $18.00 in order to have a car charger. Why do you make an EXCELLENT noise cancelling bluetooth, WITHOUT a car charger, and a 4" cord for a wall charger? Is it designed for the Office Workers? Why would I need the noise cancelling option in an office setting? I need it in my CAR, SEMI, or even OUTSIDE!!! But not in an Office setting!!! And that Magnetic Charger contraption they come out with, is a JOKE, a failure just waiting to happen. Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda went with a JABRA, maybe next time, I will. I gave it 5 stars so more people will read it LOL

    iPhone 5 users beware

Plantronics website will not post this review, I wonder why?? I have been purchasing Plantronics Voyagers for years. Mostly because I travel for work and lose and/or damage them (my fault) and have to buy another. They have always been the best (in my opinion) BT on the market. Imagine my surprise with the ultimate fail with the Voyager legend. First, it is flat horrible with the iPhone 5. I have have recieved numerous complaints from business associates who can't hear me because I am faint and muddled. Doesn't matter where I am, in a quiet office or in my car much less an airport. I have since scoured the internet and have found multiple reviews/complaints on this same issue. Now, to be fair- this particular issue started as an iPhone 5 issue it seems. Which sucks for Plantronics. However, there is one iPhone 5 and 1000's of BT's. And this has been a known issue since 2012. Plantronics can't figure this out yet? If Plantronics wants to sell their BT's to the millions of iPhone users well..... figure it out. The second reason I cannot recommend this is some genius engineer decided to change the charging mechanism to a proprietary connection instead of a standard micro USB cable. In a world where EVERYONE is going to standard interfaces, why on earth would you do this Plantronics? Now I have a cable that if I lose or damage while traveling for work or at home or doing anything, I am out of luck. Now I have to buy multiple cables and keep track of these just for a single item instead of have multiple compatable devices. If I plug it in the wall, it falls off the charging device. It is the the most ridiculous thing I have seen in a while. I am truly dissapointed as I have been such a fan of Plantronics and have been recommending them for years. If this is the route you are going, I have to find something else. I am returning the headset.

I like this Bluetooth so much the only reason i give you 3 stars is because it is heavy and is hard to keep in your ear when you are working with a full moves.

The Negative Reviews of this headset are Correct

I read several of the discerning reviews of this headset on BestBuy and other sites. I had been using the Voyager Pro for 2 years when it broke and was time to replace it. I discounted the negative reviews of the Legend based upon my personal experience with the Pro and reviews on professional sites. After 6 months and 3 headsets, I realized the negative reviews and firsthand experiences with the Legend were more accurate than I wanted to give them credit. Problems: 1) Initially it plays nice with your phone and voice apps like Google Now but problems arise after 1-2 months where it delays the recognition of voice commands to Now and frequently the combination of the headset and Now do not recognize the voice command or they do not complete the action. If I speak directly to the phone (without the headset) it operates properly. 2) I am on my 3rd headset (and likely to return it) because of a sound vibration that occurs after a software update. 3) The Plantronics software does not recognize the headset is attached to the computer's USB so I must go out to the website and reinitialize the software update. 4) The headset goes into sleep mode and must be reactivated in order to issue a voice command. 5) I am finding battery life declines after the first 2 months. 6) Sound volume is not as loud as the Legend Pro. On the positive, customer service has been very responsive to emails and the headset does respond quickly to the command "answer" for incoming calls. Additionally, it is the most comfortable headset. Long story, short, it is a nicer fitting headset than the Voyager Pro but does not work as nicely with phones and apps. The charging is annoying and I would rather have a micro-USB connection of the Pro. Recommendation - be caution on the purchase, Elite members have 45 days to return and the extended warranty for $11 may be a positive when you want to return it later.

This headset works great for all indoor situations especially commuting in the car. But open the window with it on your left ear and then hear lots off static. All the reviews about it cutting out here and there is do to wind. I'm keeping it because it does a good job for when I need it the most, while driving. Very comfortable. Just wish it was more versatile for the money.

I have had the voyager for years now and I always upgrade when the new model comes out. I was very disappointed when it didn't work properly with the iphone5. So I called plantronics and they told me how to do an upgrade, ten minutes later it was working great. So far so good.

    large and poor quality

i have had similar earpieces but this one is a little too large, especially because of the poor quality. People are always telling me your breaking up and i keep adjusting to try and make it better. the worst part is that people would complain about how well they could hear the background noise and not the conversation. Plantronics sells a cheaper one that is much better. although bypass the edge also !!!

Not worth the money. Using a HTC one and it was giving off static from even close ranges at times. Smart sensors doesn't work at all, it's a gimmick. Not comfortable after long periods of use. Could be better for the money. Best experience in most cases is to give it a try for yourself. At the end of the day it's user preference.

Worst bluetooth I have ever had

Do not buy, I thought being made in the USA would mean a better product, this thing is a total flop, I have a brand new android LG VS930 used with four or five other Bluetooth devices with no problem, I have taken the legend back twice both time the same problem. will work great the first time. then once you turn it off or leave the reach of the Bluetooth signal so it disconnects and reconnect it will start connecting and disconnecting constantly during a phone call back and forth. I am a truck driver and called tech support about the issue. They have a bunch of hoops they want you to jump through just to get a replacement. No updates have been made and I am not the only one who has complained about the issue.

Doesn't work well with iPhone 5

Plantronics was my first choice when it was time to purchase a new headset. I've had the Plantronics Voyager Pro + for the last 3 years which has worked flawlessly w/ excellent battery life. It still works great except for the crackling that has started which is why I'm purchasing a new headset. Unfortunately, the Plantronics voyager legend let me down. After pairing, the new headset with my phone, I was disappointed the crackling and popping was inherent with this headset. Pairing the headset to my Blackberry Bold resulted in crystal clear conversation, but not paired with my iPhone 5. I checked the headset and it did have the latest firmware so that wasn't the issue. I exchanged the Voyager Legend with the Jawbone Era and am once again enjoying crystal clear conversations with the Jawbone Era. Hopefully this review helps someone with an iPhone 5 decide what to purchase rather than wasting their time and gas. I would recommend this headset if you have an Android, Microsoft or Blackberry because it is feature rich.

Just bought this and started setting up, reading user guide etc. The first thing it says to do is check for firmware update. Do do this and make use of other features you have to download their "MyHeadset" software. Well guess what, they don't support Mac and there does not appear to be any way to update directly from their website. Come on Plantronics this is silly

I drive a Ford E350 cargo van for work. It's a "No Frills" van with a bare interior, This van is very noisy inside. I have an iPhone 5s and I have hearing loss. I have a real hard time hearing calls when moving. I bought the Legend as a co worker recommended it. With the volume at max on both the phone and the headset I couldn't hear much better than when using the phone only. On the BB website the Motorola Boom had higher ratings so I tried one. The Boom is so loud I use it at half volume. The voice sounds natural whereas the Legend sounded raspy. The Boom is much smaller and lighter than the Legend also. I recommend the Motorola Boom headset for noisy environments.

I am on my second Legend and love everything about it except that after 2 weeks, it no longer takes a charge. Several customers have the same issue but Plantronics refuses to accept that it is a common issue. I have tried to get support to address it and there only suggestion is to submit an replacement request. In my business, I cannot go without a headset for a single day. If they cannot get this resolved, they will lose me as a long-time loyal customer. http://soundingboard.plantronics.com/thread/37161. It appears to be something with the magnetic charging connection but this is the only option to charge. I purchased the charging case thinking this would resolve the issue but it is the same.

SHADY SHADY MOVE regarding the Plantronics - Voyager Legend Bluetooth Headset . Always starts off great, but over time, goes to S___T. There are 2 particular things that absolutely ruin this unit. First off, it has a completely unique magnetic charging unit, making it incompatible with the original micro connection used by almost everyone else. Second, it has a internal sensor that knows when it's placed on your ear. The major problem is if you're walking/biking, the unit FREQUENTLY and suddenly drops the call or blue-tooth music streaming. I've paired this unit with both Android phones (Samsung Galaxy, Motorola Mini) and iPhone (5), and I consistently experienced dropped pairing. This is ridiculous when you use it while driving. Used to be a fan.. now... stay away. Not worth the money. If you do buy it, MAKE SURE to purchase the extended service plan, cause you will be bringing it back.

    Lousy Performance

This Plantronics Legend was recommended in the store as being one of the best sounding bluetooth headsets. I found the sound to be terrible with my iPhone. I heard a constant swishing sound but the other person didn't. People constantly complained that I was garbled or "breaking up" when I had good reception and they sounded fine to me. I got a lot of voice mails complaining of garbled messages. It's Bunk.
