    Do Not Buy!

I'm on my 2nd Voyager Legend and I HATE myself for actually buying two! The first one worked GREAT - oh ya, just great - for about 3 weeks. Then it just stopped working. Being that I use it every DAY for business and I was in a hurry, I thought, "It must be a fluke. I'll just go buy another one and call the manufacturer to get my money back." Of course they jacked me around and I didn't get my money back! Then the 2nd one works great.. this time for maybe, 2 weeks. Then starts dropping calls. Phone can't find the blue tooth, etc. Plantronics said it was "the phone." More time, more jacking around. Go to Sprint. Except "the phone" picks up every other blue tooth in the store - so NOT "the phone." BLOWS my mind that these devices are made SO poorly that they do NOT last and this is supposed to be okay with the consumer. I mean, WTH?

    Clumsy Fit

    Posted .

It's probably just me, but I found the Legend very uncomfortable in my ear. All of the extra earpieces were all the same size, so the one size fits all didn't work for me in my instance. Plus whenever I got the earpiece to fit and feel comfortable in my ear, the microphone would then be too far away from my face to work effectively. Next there's the magnetic charger whose functionality I found to be hit or miss, mostly miss. It's magnetic alright, but it fails to charge once the connection was made. Oh did I mention that the cue in button broke off after just a week. Plantronics usually makes good products, however they missed the mark on this in a variety of areas in my opinion

    Staticky calls

This earpiece is pretty much unusable. All callers report that my calls are so filled with static that they are unable to discern what I am saying. I cannot use the device. I gave up on it 4 months ago and now just sits in a drawer.

Owned 3 Voyagers- Legend is worst of all

After owning 3 previous Voyagers, I was due for a new one as my Pro HD battery was losing talk time and the rubber was bubbling. I bought the Legend expecting great things as usual. There is nothing great about the Legend. They designed a new "proprietary magnetic charging cable" that is one of the most ill-thought out designs ever. 1. You need their proprietary cable. 2. Unlike Apple's Magsafe magnetic charge cable where the magnet actually holds, this one does not, and the unit never charges- never. After wearing down the original charge, then trying both cables it came with on 5 different power sources- nothing. The connection is so poor power will not transmit power to the headset. After talking to their tech support, the rep sheepishly admitted Legend charging complaints due to the cable are very common. On to the uncomfortable fit… Compared to a Voyager Pro HD, the rubber is quite stiff and does not fit the ear comfortably, plus the curve over-ear is molded different than the Pro, so it fits the ear poorly. I normally use the medium size earbud, but had to use the small one instead-and it was just never right- they changed the fit entirely- why? I returned the unit within the first week and bought a Voyager 5220. That is MUCH better so far with a REAL Micro USB charge port, flexible rubber, comfortable design and I can use the medium earbud again. Beware: the Voyager Legend is the worst one they ever made. You may start to see these on sale with the 5200 and 5220 coming out in April, 2016. DO NOT BE TEMPTED! The cost savings is just not worth it due to the major design flaws of the Legend. Just get the 5200 and pretend the Legend never happened. I bet Plantronics wishes the Legend never happened either.

    Not for IPhone 5 use

I have quite a few Bluetooth headsets, several of which are Plantronics which have always been flawless. For some reason this headset is not compatible with the new iPhone 5 in the middle of a conversation the headset will lose all incoming audio. The bad thing is you think you've dropped the call and hang up only to find out the other party could still hear you. Hopefully Plantronics will come up with an update to correct this. The headset would be 5 stars if not for this major problem. Side note. The headset works fine with any other phone.

WILL NOT WORK WITH iPHONE 5

Nice looking bells & whistles, simple to use. Easy to Pair with your iPhone 5...But, it quits receiving/transmitting during telephone calls requiring you to immediately switch to the iPhone....If you are taking, you won't even know you are not being heard...Quite useless with the iPhone 5. Other users appear to have the same problem...It is a shame...I liked the comfort of this unit on my ear...

    Yet Again... Fail by Plantronics

I've got this really bad love/hate relationship with Plantronics. I love how comfortable the Voyager 510, Pro, and Legend are. It's been a long time since I've had a 510, but I had 3 of those when you could find them easier. I don't think they had the problems with the volume that I've had with the Pro and Legend. I just bought a Voyager Legend yesterday, and like the Voyager Pro, I can't hear the callers worth a darn. It doesn't matter how good everything else is about a Bluetooth headset, if you can't hear the person you are talking to it is worthless. Unless you have excellent, superman hearing, I wouldn't buy this product.

Excellent headset unless you need Wifi or Hotspot

I purchased this headset to be used with my work phone (Galaxy Rugby Pro). If you have Wifi enabled or mobile hotspot enabled the headset randomly disconnects and reconnects during calls. I have updated the firmware and tried multiple suggestions from Plantronics with no resolution. I found many forums requiring this issue that go back to August of 2013. Bottom line this is a great product if you don't need Wifi enabled or Mobile hotspot.

    Not For iPhone5

I had the same experience as the previous reviewer. After leaving my Jawbone Icon in a rental car I came home and decided to try this Plantronics unit. I have a Plantronics Backbeat Go headset that works fine with my i5 so I didn't expect an issue. I really wanted the unit to work, I loved the design and features. Problem was during calls incoming audio would suddenly go dead. I would take the headset off to transfer the call to my phone and the other party was still there, loud and clear. Then after 2 calls like that one morning it suddenly started making a loud screeching sort of buzzing sound in my ear. To make things worse, this was my second unit and I had called Plantronics customer service, updated firmware and established a new connection, twice. Plantronics customer service said, "return it." So, unfortunately I had no choice. But of course the folks at Best Buy were more than willing to help. So it wasn't that bad. I was back to Jawbone and the ERA. So far, flawless. And again, my Plantronics Backbeat Go still works fine with my iPhone5.

Not the best Plantronics I've had

I've had dozens of head sets through the years (mostly Plantronics) and I wear them everyday. This headset was taking a step backwards IMO, the noise cancellation was off and the sound quality according to clients and family was not so good. Answering the phone often times meant hitting the mute button. The quality just is not there. Voyager Pro worked much better. I WOULD NOT buy this again. Voyager Pro from Plantronics - Yes

i am on my second one i had to get a replacement after having it for a month, got the replacement. (they wanted me to pay for return shipping of the one that messed up). The second one started doing the something after bout a month, i would not charge or hold a charge, i put it on charge overnight and wake up and it say 2 hours talk time. so i got it replaced, the replacement worked great for bout a month then it started to mess up doing the same thing plus it would put a play a tone when i was in the call like 2 3 or 4 times as if the other person was pressing the keypad on the phone. i called back to get a replacement of a different model or my money back they said all they could do is same model only. and would not try to work anything out. so i am leaving and getting the lg tone plus.

    Pain in the Ear

By far the most uncomfortable earpiece I've every used. After about 25 minutes my ear began to complain. I NEVER forgot this was in use. I took this back for a different model. I would suggest the Plantronics M55.

    Easy compatibility; terrible reliability

I had the Plantronics Discovery for almost 3 years. Great service. No problems except I almost lost it several times. It was so comfortable, I would not notice if it fell out of my ear. So I went for the Voyager Legend thinking the design would be more secure on my ear. Well, it is, but it is hard to get on my ear...and then when I get it on, it sounds like it "shorts' out. It has great battery life, but it is "shorting" out so often that I am hating it now. Quality seems to be inferior. Not a good buy when it is a higher end price point and does not last longer than a year. Not sure what I will try next. This has turned me off to Plantronics.

    No good with Iphone 5

I bought this bluetooth to use with my Iphone 5 and quickly discovered I had made a mistake. My very 1st phone call disconnected and I had to fumble for my phone to take over the call before I lost it. I figured no big deal so I deleted the device from my iPhone 5 and shut my Iphone down completely. ( Tech support told me to try this) I started my Iphone 5 back up and paired the bluetooth again and the very next phone call, it happened again. I am not happy but am now debating on the new Marque 2 m165. Plantronics makes wonderful devices, just needs more work to be done with the new Legend compatibility issues.
