I spoke to a few different people including EA about this game before I bought it. I wanted the supposed offline play. EA and all the people I talked to said you could play this without having a gold membership which is true but what they don't say is you still have to have the internet hooked up to play it. Just wish they had a local offline version to play for the kids

My kids really enjoy it. Fun, not too violent,and enjoyable.

Exponentially better than the 1st game!! And that says something considering the 1st game was great on its own. There is so much more to do both individually and cooperatively. I play this all the time with my young kids and they love it and we enjoy being able to share in the fun.

It is a good 3rd person shooter. The episodes and challenges are fun but lack the blood and gore of many of the other games in this class. Also, no bad language to worry about. The action and graphics are just as good as those found in the more adult series of 3rd person shooters.

There were not many X-Box One games for kids and found it in a bin with other games. I was looking for a "non violent" game for kids (and not expensive.) So far it entertains my kid whom sometimes plays as a "plant" and sometimes as a "zombie."

Bought this for my 7 year old son as he was a fan of the 1st game. I got to say that this one is way better than the first. I found myself playing the game with or without him. It’s definitely a favorite game that gets lots of play whenever he has friends over!

A relatively decent first person shooter type game, set in the PvZ universe. Not that hard to play, my 7 year old really likes it! Word of caution; you MUST have an active subscription to Xbox Live (or the Playstation Plus) to run this game!! So if you aren't already a subscriber you need to factor in that cost to this purchase (annual fee is about $60).

He loves to fight the zombies. He says the plants and zombies have cool features.

Fun game, entertaining and great for kids. It's hard to find a good game that is appropriate for elementary aged kids. The problem that I have is the requirement for XBOX live to fully enjoy the game. I would not recommend to this to someone live subscription or high speed Internet.

More fun then the original. More characters and hours of fun.

It's a shooter but made of vegetables and zombies. A simple little game with not many different screens or areas but something about the characters they just couldn't get enough of it. They are 9 and 11. The graphics are good, the colors awesome.

A lot of fun according to my son. Had the original one too so wanted this new version. Would recommend for my kid looking for first person game without a lot of blood and realistic shooting

My son (13 yr) really likes the quests and backyard mode. Fun to play online with friends.

Characters are fun n good multiplying n fun n exciting game

I am trying to keep my boys away from 'shooting games' as long as I can. This game shoots food at the zombies who are trying to attack the vegetable garden. in order to revive yourself, you have to plant some seeds in the garden. Cute ideas.

This is easily my favorite x-box game, and I don't even play it! I love hearing my boys giggle and laugh at the silliness while they play a "first person shooter" that is acceptable for their age. Even my teenager will choose it over a "bloody" game.

Purchased once it went on sale. In my opinion, this is way better than the first. I purchased to play with my son, and the addition of the backyard battleground (free play), it is a lot more enjoyable than the 1st. Definitely recommend (when it goes on sale)

Great game with a lot to do... in the beginning. Gameplay mechanics are awesome and beautifull graphics. The reason for 4 stars is because it's so easy to max out your character and offers little reason to keep using it. The story modes are fun but gone through rather quickly as well. Overall it is a fun game to play.

My son loves this game, he is 7, but his older cousins introduced him to it. Great graphics. If it was up to him, he would play it for hours. I use it as a way to reward hard work and good grades.
