Needs Xbox live membership to be able to play. Purchased for my son.

i am new to xbox game system and if I had known that every game I try to get for my 8 year old required having xbox live ...which cost you yearly!!!!! I would never have bought it. This game can only be played if you purchase that membership too. I will be returning!

We were disappointed to find out that in order to play this game you have to Xbox Live Gold Membership! That stinks, my daughter picked it out so excitedly that I never thought to check this...so make sure you check the backs of games before buying them.

Game has lots of glitches - not that great at all.

Haven't played it. Best Buy sold me a defective disk. Inserting disc in xbox, xbox says there is no disc in. When I go exchange it today and play it later I'm sure it will be a great game. The best game with Warfare in it since MW2!

But that is my fault for not reading the entire box. Looking for a multi-player game for the grandkids and didn’t realize have to join online program and pay fees in order for them to play

did not realize when i purchased it that you needed to have Xbox gold live in order to play single or multiplayer. very sad that you have to have it in order to play it.

I bought this game for my older children to use and it really wasn't that entertaining of a game. It was hard to understand and just didn't keep my kids that interested.

I bought this not knowing it was online only play. I have the second one and I wanted to play the story on the first one to figure out what's going on but I can't.

I bought this game cause a friend liked it. However, was not impressed and didn't like it at all. Played with it for about 30 mins and never touched it again.

I really did not enjoy the game becaude its just running after zombies but no goal. Aldo it sucks that it needs to be played online

alot of fun, but ea servers suck so i lost connection in game or in a lobby at times, also so few characters, but don't get me wrong this is one of my favorite games of all time

If you loved the PC/Phone games and are into FPS games, then this game is for you. It's not a hardcore FPS game like Call of Duty, but more of a light-hearted game where you get to have fun taking sides and defeating plants (or zombies) as you rank your way to new character skins, weapon upgrades, etc. You will likely die... a lot, but you still earn coins to buy upgrade packs with every little thing you do from healing to assisting to getting vanquish streaks. It's fun! I, personally, dig CoD and other big name FPS games, but get tired of just dying from obsessive gamers who perfected the killshot so I decided to try something different and this game took the win! Check it out if you want a fun FPS game to play!

This game is for the whole family. Fun, fast-paced action with great humor. Can't recommend this game enough

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is a game that not many people expected to be good. I can assure you now, it's a fun game, so long as you enjoy third-person shooters. Also, it needs to be mentioned now that this is an ONLINE ONLY game. Why? I have no idea, and playing local split-screen ended abruptly when EA's servers decided to take a dive. This means that you'll need Xbox Live Gold and EA's servers to run well just to play local co-op, which is just absurd. However, the fact that I already have Xbox Live Gold and only had this issue once didn't take me away from the experience of what Garden Warfare is trying to achieve. PopCap is trying to bring the fun back into third-person shooters, and for the most part, they succeed. Garden Warfare is filled with fun and has plenty of game modes to keep you busy, but it's the crazy amount of character customization and Garden Ops (Horde mode) that really shine. Only on Xbox One are you able to play Garden Ops split-screen co-op, but it would have been nice if you were able to play online with 2 other human characters (like Left 4 Dead). I don't want to give too much away, or write a lot when real reviews can cover the specifics, but if you're on the fence about getting this game, I would say get it if you have GCU. If not, wait for a $10 price drop, because although there's plenty to keep you busy, it won't seem like much for certain people to justify the $40 price tag.
