This game is very addicting. Extremely fun. You really don't get that aggravated feel while playing this like you would on Call of Duty. It's just pure fun. Trying to unlock packs to gather new characters and customizes are addicting and fun. Overall a Great game and I would recommend to anyone no matter your age!

Great Game Tons of Fun and Always Improving!

It's a great casual shooter game that has become highly addictive. You start out with a handful of zombies and plants to choose from, each containing unique abilities. As you continue to play, not only to you unlock more abilities, but you can unlock costomizable items and additional characters associated to the originals. They continue to make this game even better by adding additional boards and games. I'm finding myself playing "Gnome Bomb" more than the original games that were included. For the Price, you really can't go wrong. Believe it or not, I have found my other half playing my PvsZ more and his Titanfall even less. You really can't go wrong with this game.

    Fun multiplayer-only shooter

If you like Plants vs. Zombies and multiplayer shooters, then you will enjoy this game. Each side has 4 different classes to play as, most of which are fun to switch between. The only problem with the game is the servers can be laggy and cause disconnections.

    A light hearted heavy war

This is a very solid shooter that is very fun and goofy at it's best. It's best is playing with the heart of a child and probably your son, daughter, niece, or nephew. Fun and for everyone. Every game should teach a lesson which this one does very entertainingly. That lesson is 'fight together or fail alone'. Keeping pace with your team in play is very important to survival no matter what you have equipped on your character. Say close and keep your eyes open. All that being said this is not a difficult game at all. It is simply fun. The simple gameplay, cutesy graphics, and visual gags keep players of all ages entertained. Best when played with young players fun doesn't stop at the controller. There are laughs to be shared with your team about success and failure in the gardens of war.

    Good Multiplayer

This game can be fun if you're looking for mindless action but, if your somebody that hates Multiplayer gaming or First Person Shooters, you probably want to pass on this. Garden Ops is a 10 round defense of a series of gardens and it is the only psuedo campaign you have but, it is a good way to get familiar with the mechanics of the game. The Graphics are great and if you've played the Tablet game, you'll no doubt recognize the classes... Well, most of them anyway. Don't worry though, each class of plant or zombies has several upgrades and special skills so you're not just running around playing the same boring shooting game. There are no night battles and and water zombies / plants need not apply. These Maps are straight up Daytime maps. There are multiple modes to the game play and I encourage you to try them all as you'll no doubt find plenty to do in this game. If you like comical gameplay that's great with friends or online, you've found the right game for you!

Great Game - Multiuser or Split Screen

    Posted .

Bought for my 11 year old son, and we love playing together on split screen or one of us alone on a multiplayer setting. He loves the various characters and what they do to "eliminate" the enemy. The choice of settings is great. The multiplayer is really amazing - so many players out there waiting for games surprises me, and also how well these others play. All in all a great game and my son is waiting for the next version which comes out this year.

For the record, I'm a hardcore Battlefield, COD player. But I only bought this cause it was 39.99 and there aren't many games out for xbox one yet so i said what the heck. This game is like the flappy bird of xbox one, its so silly in many ways and you'll find yourself sitting there like why am i playing this but its very addicting. Its very Extensive for only 40 bucks, theirs 4 different types of plants and 4 types of zombies, but for each type you can unlock 5 different classes of each. The learning curve is very simple, when you unlock the special abilities they actually show you a short clip after on exactly how to use that ability. To me its a mix of COD style play mixed with Gears of War style (Capturing Bases). if you have the extra money and bored with other games I def recommend getting it. Kids would love it to. I'm 32 by the way.

One of the best mobile gaming franchises ever..but

    Posted .

PvZ is one of my favorite mobile gaming franchises ever. I think it's PvZ and Angry Birds that are synonymous with mobile gaming. This game is a great rendition and play on the PvZ universe, but sadly comes through some rather poor programming and infrastructure issues. This is a game that relies almost solely on it's online experience. It is essentially a multiplayer death match style game where you are defending areas and getting "vanquishes" in the process. So what you would come to expect, or should for that matter, is seamless and efficient gameplay. Well unfortunately that is not what you get. Bear in mind I am running my home network on Comcast cable internet with plenty of bandwidth and my internet speeds are not an issue in any way. I stream video from Netflix and ESPN on a regular basis. This is a gaming issue. With that being said this game is most certainly broken. The glitch and laggy gameplay is maddening at times where I just shut it off and won't play again for days. Not to mention the amount of times EA's servers are just down completely is rather irritating. Whether the absurd amount of issue with the game would ever be fixed with a patch is beyond my knowledge, but just be aware that this is an issue and it has nothing to do with your console or internet connection more than likely. Just another ruined game by EA. This would be an easy 5 star, 4 star minimum game from me if it weren't so broken and my gaming enjoyment weren't so inconsistent. I was so excited when word of this game first hit the internet and I was able to see the first gameplay of it. But sadly it's been a 2 star kind of experience as it just didn't meet adequate standards as far as I'm concerned.

So I usually wouldn't buy a game like this. It's so different than any other game I ever bought. I have Call of Duty and the NBA 2K series and games similar to that. My friend bought it for me and wow. I am playing nonstop now. Try it out if you can somehow and you will really get hooked. This is now now definitely one of my favorite games hands down. Similar to shooting games like CoD where you can either fight zombie swarms, fight other real players online, or games similar to domination etc. This game is so much fun, you don't realize how much time you spend playing it.

    Entertaining Game for the Kids

I have Xbox One and this game seems to work relatively well for my 2 boys. I don't like to have my kids on the internet and there are modes of the game that require registering or being a live member. Since I don't want to do that I am locked out of certain game modes. But what is available is fun and entertaining.

Great fun for me and my son

This is a great, fun game. Most consoles are truly lacking in games I can play with my son, but this is one. The update since it was released is great, adding a little more depth to the game. Maybe there will be more to come. Only downside is that there is limited two player options. The single player or online version has plenty of variety. BUt two player is stuck with just o9ne kind of game. Mind you, with two XBoxes in the house we meet online and play.

    Great Game, Little Replay Value

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This game is surprisingly fun and easy to pick up. It is definitely aimed at more casual gamers as there isn't too much variety in characters and weapons. Characters do level up, but it feels nearly pointless as once you have your core abilities you have no motivation to level up higher. I feel like most of the time you're just being rewarded vanity items to customize the appearance of your character. It's also unfortunate that there isn't a mode where you just play as zombies cooperatively like in Garden Ops. Without being too critical, it really isn't a full fledged game and feels more like an indie game. Ultimately, you will get bored and move onto other games pretty quickly, but it is worth checking out as it is something that you can occasionally play to pass the time.

My son loves to play this game. He has been a fan of the Plants vs Zombies games in the past and loves the new design of this game. It's taken on a feel of a third person shooter style game instead of the simple one dimension game of the past.

Great game to play. All characters are great to play with. A change from other shooters games. I love it and I am an adult. I cant stop playing this game because I want to collect all the stickers to mod all my characters. Game keeps you looking for more. The more you play the more you will get it and then you get hooked... One of the best games out. Great for kids.

I bought this game based on the stellar reviews it received. I have to say that i'm disappointed. My biggest complaint is the maneuverability. It is not a very fluid system. Overall, it is just not that fun of a game but this is from an adult perspective.
