I'm not sure they are really necessary for the Apple Watch, I didn't really like the look of it on my Watch, and thought it was difficult to change watch bands with it on.

Cute accessory

I found that the round charging disc did not attach as well to the watch with it on and as a result a few nights my watch didn't charge. It looks good thought and seems it will protect against scratches.

Not really sure what the purpose is

If you hit something with the side or drop it, it would work, but I wanted something to cover the whole face.
