Platinum Leather Folio Cases Are Premium Quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Platinum leather folio wallet cases are Best Buy's own design, using premium quality leather tanned in Red Wing, Minnesota. If you prefer a folio style case, you can not buy a better genuine leather case at any price. The case for the Apple iPhone 8 is close to perfect. The matte black leather looks and feels expensive. I keep my ID and a credit card in the top slot and a $20 bill in the large pocket in case. At first the cover did not fully close. After a few weeks in my pocket, the leather stretched a bit and now the cover stays closed. One minor flaw: the plastic clip that holds your phone in place is flush with the screen so it provides zero protection if your phone ever falls and lands on its screen. It also provides no protection for the area near the charging port. But, folio cases provide a secure grip so drops will be a rare event. Also note: Any folio case will block the noise cancellation mic on the back of the iPhone 8. That MIGHT cause odd effects during phone calls. Take a few seconds to go into settings and turn OFF the noise cancellation mic.

Interferes with Voice Calls

I have an iPhone 7 and while I can hear people with clarity, they complain that my voice sounds muffled and hard to hear. I have tested it by calling my voicemail. In the case, the sound is muffled. Out of the case, no issue. In my old Case Logic (same style), no problem. I will be returning the Platinum case.
