My car can charge my phone faster.

It’s actually faster for me to plug my phone directly into my car USB port to charge. This charger is on par, or maybe even slower, than a standard charging base.

I come to find out that the brand Platinum is a Best Buy Brand like Insigna. I found it to be expensive for being a store brand. When I tried to return it, I could only get store credit.
