On Black Friday this was a no brainier for $199. If you are a gamer who likes a variety of games to play then PlayStation 4 is the way to go. I have 4 PS4s in my home now as my kids are gamers as well this was just another addition to the family. Highly recommend it especially with the slate of games that are coming in 2018. Spiderman, God of War, Detroit Become Human, Ni No Kuni, Yakuza 6 are just a few gems coming in 2018

My reveiw is based simply on the design of the ps4. Its a game console with super sharp edges and its heavy too. I get the a game console is gonna be heavy but the thing stands upright i cant helo but feel expecially when children are playing that its an accident waiting to happen. My 9 year old son recently was gofted a playstation 4 for his birthday and he has had it a total of 2 weeks and today this accident happend. He was trying to plug the hdmi cord into the vack since he alternates between his favored xbox and his new ps4. When the the Ps4 fell and yhe sharp side landed on his thigh right above the knee. Instantly a bruise started to form and some of the skin was rubbed open abraided like. I took pics obviously. Now we dont have a gaming station the xbox and the ps4 sit on the dresser below the tv maybe if we had one this wouldnt have happended but it did now he is sad hurt and all he was trying to do was play a game. Why are these designed this way? I understand having them stand tall would maje it eaiser to vent excess heat instead of letting it build up but these edges are sharp! I was in the room when this happend he wasnt doing anything wrong but trying to pull the hdmi cord out of the ps4 to put into the xbox. I joked around with him trying to get a smile said that maybe the ps4 heard him saying that the xbox was a superior gaming console. But his response was only that he had taken it back after playing his first game.

Playstation is great! Menus are easy to navigate, graphics are amazingly clear. The controller fits comfortably in my hands and has a very wide range. The only thing I don't like is that I can't add my Sling app. My PS4 is plugged into a standard flat screen tv, so to use Sling, I have to switch to my streaming device, but everything else can stream directly through the PS4.

I honestly don't make a habit of buying the latest and greatest. I typically look to get the tried and proven. The system that has been put through the ropes. I'm happy I did, especially since the PS5 is no where to be found and the scammers are out bumping up prices. Got this with no problems, it's working well. I'm jazzed!

Even with the impending release of the PlayStation 5 this holiday, Sony's current-gen system is still a fantastic purchase. The DualShock 4 very well may be my favorite controller of all time (despite its battery life, which is noticeably shorter than Microsoft and Nintendo's controller offerings on their own platforms), and the game library is massive, especially as we're at the end of the system's lifespan. The graphics are gorgeous in every game I've played, and the sound quality is top notch. If you're on the fence about getting a PS4, and you know for sure there are at least a couple games you're interested in, I'd absolutely recommend pulling the trigger.

Best Buy had the PS4 console for an AMAZING price on Black Friday. We got there early and got one. It was the lowest price I've seen for a PS4. It doesn't come with any games, but the price was totally worth it. Only suggestion is when you set up the console, leave it plugged in and connected and go out for dinner or take a nap. The update and software install takes a really long time. Great system, love it!

Works beautifully. Price was a steal, and the fact it had a terabyte for cheap was great.
