Do Not Order An Open Box PS4 From Best Buy

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ordered an open box PS4 for my fiance since no new PS4's were available for purchase. Right out of the box we could not get past the first set up screen that simply tells you to press the PS4 button. When the button was pressed nothing happened. Upon searching the web this happens whenever the PS4 undergoes a factory reset or the controller itself is defective. We tried at least 5 different troubleshooting options and nothing worked. We also purchased a brand new USB cable. The main complaint is that Best Buy should ensure the PS4 is able to be set up after a factory reset. This was an absolute waste of time and money. Best Buy itself was also no help. They were not willing to assist in anyway. They just said to return it. So I returned it. Thanks!

Best Purchase in the last 10 years

In march of 2021 the hard drive was corrupted. I did get it fixed through the 1yr warranty but i would've thought these consoles would last longer.
