I intentionally didn't read a ton about the PS4, because I so desperately wanted one, but couldn't justify spending hundreds on one. After owning it, holy cripes, am I happy. The facial/voice recognition are flawless, I'd already "collected" some games from PS+, so we had a library immediately. We were pretty irked with the lack of a YouTube app initially, but after finding out why it wasn't out yet (and now that it is out), that's just a non-issue. The controllers are way more responsive than PS3, and the system is intuitive as anything I've ever used. I'm just jazzed, everything looks amazing, everything sounds amazing, and it's a pleasure to use.

The console runs smoothly, the games start quickly, and the controller has a good, solid feel to it in your hands. The only minor gripe I have is that, from what I've observed, is the DS4 controller needs to be charged more frequently than the DS3, probably because of the LED light that can only be dimmed and not turned off, but that could always change in a possible system update.

I am a gamer at heart. When these two systems were announced I did my research. Everything pointed to PS4 being the better system. I was so excited that I went to the Best Buy midnight launch. Games download fast. The graphics are gorgeous. Any issues that may arise (whether game or system software) Sony is quick to fix the issue. I recently purchased the playstation vita and the remote play feature works flawlessly. That "remote play" feature allows you to play your PS4 from your portable playstation device. Playstation has a more diverse amount of games. The controller is an upgrade from the PS3 version. If you are wondering if you should get it... get it.

Sony is smart to slowly unlock the ps4's capabilities to ensure correct resolution of system issues. But as a consumer I can be impatient while they do so. The system is fast, aggressive, stylish, and I can't wait to see what it becomes. Gameplay is amazing and I'm addicted to playing again!

The anticipation was worth the wait! The system is simply faster in every respect. Battlefield 4 and Black Ops Ghost are awesome! Movies watching is enhanced as well over the PS3.

I enjoy my ps4 compared to the new Xbox model. It will be much better once all the better horror games come out on the ps4 compared to the games that will come out on the Xbox.

The new PS4 is nice and quiet and the controller is slightly larger than than the PS3. I think that makes the controller more comfortable. The option button is small and can be tricky to reach but I'm sure I'll get used to finding it easier. You can no longer stream music from your home network and you can't import CDs. Less stored music is probably a "good" thing since the game installs are huge and the hard drive is relatively small at 500GB. While it's a bummer to have to pay play online compared to the PS3 days, Playstation Plus does offer some great perks. There are multiple games available for free download - and yes, full games. Tomb Raider, Bioshock Infinite, Borderlands 2. Some are PS3 only, so the value really goes up if you have both consoles. I've already gotten my $60 annual membership back in games. The menus aren't as streamlined as I thought that the PS3 menus were. There's more scrolling and hunting, especially as you add apps and games. It's also buried to be able to turn off the controller compared to holding the PS button like on the PS3. Speaking of the controller, the glowing blue or red player light is pretty large and you can't turn it off. I think that is a big reason that the batteries don't last as long as they should. It's pretty how cool how there's a built in speaker. On Killzone when you find audio disks, they play on the controller so it's like your character is listening to the disks in their hands. All in all, I'm very happy with the purchase and very glad I wasn't forced to buy the camera like the XBOX ONE.

I've only had the PlayStation 4 for a week and let me tell you. For $399 you can't get any closer to PC graphics. And lets not forget all of the AAA titles that are out/soon to be released. In all honesty this is the way to go when starting the next generation of gaming hardware.

There isn't too much to can say about the PS4 besides saying its a good and cool console to own. One thing I can say just from personal experience is that after playing it for a while you can sometime forget you own one, and maybe it's because am not video game fanatic.

I have never purchased a console at launch before and didn't want to start now. So I checked my friend's out and fell in love. Went out and got one as soon as I could. Fantastic console and GAMER FOCUSED which was a huge factor in next gen console purchasing for me this time around. Not to mention the lower price point (even with camera) than it's competitor. The one downfall is the battery life on the controllers, but even that isn't so bad because I charge them while watching Netflix. Playstation app allows you to navigate, type, and turn your console on and off from your phone which is one of my favorite features.

Love the graphics and speed of the unit. Nice new design of the 4 and the controller is pretty cool.

Excellent system very fast, with smooth controls when navigating therw the interface. I did a ton of research before I decide to buy a ps4, but from the moment i open the box I was blown away by how fast and quick the system was. When I frist install a game it was done in a minute at most, and I could play the game while it install it in the background. The controller took a few play threw to get used too, but the controller itself is marvelous. I highly recommend the ps4 to a new gamer or old ones the graphic are the best I've seen with alot games to keep you busy. You can really do alot on this system.

The PlayStation 4 is a very well-made piece of technology. It is incredibly versatile because it can play games, Blu-Rays, and DVDs. There are also options for Internet, such as a browser, YouTube, Netflix, Crackle, and more. The system also has some voice operation capabilities. Most games can be purchased in a store or downloaded from PSN, and many more games can be streamed through PlayStation Now. A PlayStation Plus subscription is needed to play most games online with other people, but all other online functions do not require a subscription. My only complaint is that the system cannot play music CDs. Also, I wish there was an option to download games on the PlayStation Now service instead of just streaming.

Best buy has the playstation 4 available now. Stunning next generation graphics. Hands down my favorite console.

I bought this because I had a ps3 but it was time to step into the next gen and the ps4 has a ton of great games on the way besides the already great ones that are available. You can do so much with the system and the controller is amazing. I have no complaints.

It was a very difficult choice for me to decide to switch from xbox to ps4, but I don't regret it at all. I love it for a bunch of different reasons. The graphics are incredible. Gaming on the PS4 is a lot of fun. I especially love watching 3D movies through my system. I love the feel of the controller and that the headset plugs right into the controller. That means I can plug my Shure studio monitor headphones into the controller and have an amazingly immersive movie watching experience. The controller does die fairly quickly though. Overall, the system delivers just what you need in a console.

Just got a PS4 after having been faithful to Xbox. Love how much easier it is to navigate, graphics are better, more free content, overall a better gaming machine. Also better for overall entertainment.

The playstation 4 is great for everyone. It has better graphics and seamless game play. Plus it allows us to acces internet content, play our dvd's and blu raus.

Works wonderfully. The graphics are great, however, it is not compatible with PS 3, what a bummer.
