Beautiful machine, does not take up much space. Super quiet compared to xbox 360. Games load very fast. Playstation plus needs work, very hard to join games as a party. It appears they leave it up to each game to implement party access. All in all very impressed and pleased sony is focusing on gaming not an entertainment device.

The new PS4 looks very nice. It took a minute to find the power button the first time. Controllers are comfortable. The only bad thing I have to say about the PS4 is that I wish it would play PS3 games. I have to keep both systems for a while because I have a lot of new PS3 games and the library of games for the PS4 is small.

I received my PS4 a week ago and have played it very little, but what I've seen so far is great. I tried out COD Ghosts and NBA2K14 and the graphics are awesome. I haven't compared side by side with my PS3 or Xbox360, but 2k14 looks amazing and gameplay is very smooth. I can't wait to see what Watchdogs, Infamous and Killzone are gonna look like! The response time on Netflix is also very fast with no delays on playback so far. The system switches much quicker from Netflix to the main menu and back to a game than the PS3. Although 3d blu-rays can't be played on it yet, it looks like a patch may be in the works to allow it. 3-D games are supposed to be available as well. The new dualshock controller is easy to use and the share button is great to grab screenshots and it can even publish the previous 15 minutes of gameplay to Facebook or twitter. I'm not really into that, but I did capture a few screenshots of just to see how it worked and they turned out well. A nice feature they added is that you can charge your controllers when it's on standby. Overall it looks like it's a very good buy and would definitely recommend it.

I bought the playstation 4 the day it came out, as well as the xbox one from best buy a week later. That said, I am not biased when it comes to the new consoles. Both have their pros and cons. If you want this console for strictly gaming, then the ps4 is great. After start up, the background lacks entertainment and pretty much is straight to the point in gaming. The built in wifi antenna is not as great as the wifi antenna in the xbox one. It takes a while to download updates. I would say, yes, it might be my internet connection but when i downloaded updates on the xbox one it takes 20X longer on the ps4 so that could be perceived as a con for the ps4. What took 20 minutes on the ps4 takes 1 minute on the xbox one. The xbox one is much faster in that aspect. The xbox one handles games with ease and so does the ps4 but I feel at this point that the xbox has a lot more to offer if you aren't there purely to game. The playstation 4 is a great product and I highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed. Great graphics as most of the games so far for the platform are in 1080p and the system is really easy to maneuver around.

Very excellent console. Very pleased with the graphics engine, very wow. Totally blew my mind away. Looking forward to see future games down the road on this excellent console. Keep up the good work Sony! ;-)

The Ps4 system packs a punch. Great graphics and state of the art technology. I have had no problems to this day.

I enjoy my PlayStation 4 often. It was relatively easy to set up and use. The mandatory software update was annoying, but I accept it is a part of modern console launches. The controller is easy to use and familiar feeling. The system plays games flawlessly thus far. I look forward to future play sessions with the console.

I love it! After the set up it is very user friendly. The graphics for the games are unbelievable and make you feel like your actually in the game. For the price of everything I would have liked for their to be another controller. I also love that some games are able to be switched over from ps3 to ps4 for a lower price.

So far so good. The ps4 is fast, plays great with several days into it. I haven't had a single issue. Its quiet and I haven't had a single issue that's been going around with the first batch. Don't let a single review or person sway you otherwise. Try it for yourself. If you want a gaming console this is the one for you.

Next gen was a long time coming, but it was worth the wait. The new controller is awesome and bursting with potential, between the touch pad, revamped shoulder buttons, headset/speaker and Move functionality. The "share" button that lets you upload game clips to the web is also cool and easy to use. Remote playing PS4 games with the Vita is awesome! I'm now revamping the WiFi in my house to make sure it connects in all of the places (bedroom, back yard and, ok, let's be honest...the bathroom) that I want to use that functionality. I haven't tried the second screen stuff on anything yet, but got my iPhone synced up with my PS4 so it's ready to go when I am. I didn't think I cared about the Playstation 4 camera, but after seeing some of the demos, I rushed out to get one of those, too. My kids love the AR demos that they have on there now, I can use voice commands to launch programs and power down the PS4, and I'm looking forward to more as they update. I won't go into all of the dirty politics/hatespeak of the system wars, but I chose PS4 as a lifelong gamer after plenty of research and love my decision!

The Playstation 4 is an outstanding machine, works as it should most of the time, makes gaming super fun and enjoyable with all the high detail, and puts out amazing picture/quality etc...but its actually what real Gamers Expect from a next gen console. ****The only really big downfall in my opinion is that its only coming out in the 500GB hard drive option, NOT enough storage space for me. I'd need 1 TB at LEAST.

When you first get it, it does take a little while to install the updates. I have had it for about a week or so now. Love how it is. I would get the stand for it if you are going to have it on a shelf or on your stand.

Like I said above, the product should not have been released until there were more next gen games available. The games that are out now aren't really too much of an improvement over the previous playstation. However, the console does show to have plenty of potential... it's only a matter of time.

Great upgrade from PS3. It has been reliable so far and was easy to set up.

Love this system already. Graphics are great and the system is sleek. The vita functionality is amazing and works perfectly. I was really impressed. I highly recommended picking up a vita with your system to be able to play the ps4 wherever you go. I have cod ghosts, madden 25 and assassins creed. All look amazing.

I am thoroughly enjoying my PS4! As an avid gamer, owner of all prior generations of Playstations, Xbox and Nintendo consoles, I can say that this console represents how gaming should be. All high-definition, extremely fast interface, instant-play gaming with play-as-you-download, a terrific online service and a huge stable of development studios in their pocket will make the PS4 the choice of this console generation. The entire PS4 experience meets the demands of a gamer, tight integration with the Vita via remote play. a great new controller, and a UI that launches applications quickly and switches between apps even faster. its hard to gauge how massive of a jump this console is over the previous, time will dictate that, however this console feels like a much better, more rounded-out experience over the previous generation, basically what the PS3 should have been all along. Microsoft may have the edge in out-innovating Sony on the non-gaming front, but either they'll catch up, or my Apple TV will serve those 'other' needs while I rock out the best games in the market on my PS4!

I love the PS4. It is an upgrade from the PS3 in every way. I am a fan of PS+ so the free games are nice. The graphics are amazing and near PC quality. The dashboard is really good and the PSN works really well. There are very minor things missing like notifications when a friend comes on line, but that can be patched in easily. The games install pretty quickly. The controller life isn't always that great, but it now charges in stand-by mode. It's a great machine and I'd suggest it to anyone that likes games.

Overall this is a great upgrade from my Launch Day PS3. Interface is clean and the controller feels good in your hand and the graphics and speed are fast and fluid. My biggest complaint is that my turtle Beach headset no longer works wirelessly. It needs an adapter cable that I had to buy from turtle Beach. At least as of today. Hopefully Sony fixes this soon. It is nice that you can use any headset to plug into the controller however. Overall great buy and look forward to another seven years with this one.

Sony did it right this time. I was VERY happy with the PS3 and I've had mine for 3 or 4 years and I was excited to try the PS4. I was stoked to get one at midnight at a BestBuy and ever since I got it home and plugged it in I have been VERY happy and would recommend the PS4 to anyone who loves gaming. Just don't worry about the tiny hiccups that the brand new system had that Sony has been working on. I have not had any problems with mine and have been very happy....Highly recommended!
