A little background on me so you know who's opinion you are getting; I am a gamer since the Atari and Nintendo days, I'm not in the gaming industry,but I game a lot. I have to say that this console has been great. I have recently owned the Xbox 360 and still own the PS3 and I have to say this is a big step up from the last generation of consoles. The graphics aren't mind blowing(yet) but the speed of getting in and out of games and to the menus is super fast. You are able to share your gameplay online to Facebook and screenshots to Twitter with easy since the PS4 records the last 15 mins of gameplay and gives you the option to trim the video down. All games also give you info on what you or your friends have recently done in game, its a nice was to make games more social. The PS4, like the Xbox One(Xbox 360), doesn't play PS3 games, but to me its not a big deal because I kept my PS3. This has been a great buy and I am enjoying it a lot, so I recommend it to any gamer out there.

Works great! This system restored my love for gaming. The set up is easy, the system is user friendly. This gen has gotten complicated so you can't just give it to kids and say have fun. The system should be set up by an adult and understand how to take advantage of the system features.

My PS4 has worked flawlessly. Set up was easy. The new Dual Shock 4 controllers are even better than the PS3 Dual Shock 3 controllers. The graphics are great looking and no lag. The design of the system is unique. Overall the PS4 is awesome and I would definitely recommend this product.

The PS4 is a great system that fits well into the support of future titles in my desired genre. I only have multiplats and PS Plus free games right now, but those that I do have work great on the PS4. The controller is stellar and the interface is quick and easy. All in all a good buy.

First of all, I kept my PS3 so I could backplay games. So that wasn't a big issue, my console has yet to give me any problems. Battlefield 4 has but that is with EA's side as they rushed the game to market. Only thing i don't like is how the interface was design and honestly they should have kept it more PS3 style. Example, you not able to manually sign in or out of Playstation Network. So its hard to tell if your online, as well as it just seems empty of options and various features compared to the PS3. No photos option, no sd/memory card ports, no playback, no CD play back, only two USD ports. It seems someone got alitte to happy with shaving cost at Sony. The Playstation was suppost to be what Mircosoft wants the new xbox one to be, the center of the home entertainment system. So while the new console is better as far as gameplay and next generation expectations and features than the Xbox one, they (sony) have taken a step back from what was expected of the Playstation.

The PS4 is a masterpiece. Got my unit at launch from Best Buy and could not be happier. The set up was easy and setting up and playing was a snap. I have read other horror stories of defective units and really bad glitches and bugs. I, however, have not had most of these problems with the exception of a small glitch that caused battlefield 4 to crash upon start. This has since been fixed and I had a little problem logging into the playstation network, but once I got in it has logged me in as soon as the system powers on. The coolest feature to me so far is the remote play the PS4 can do with the PS Vita. Basically you can stream just about any PS4 title to the PS Vita and play it on your handheld! This even includes online! So no more fighting for the tv. All in all I am very happy with my purchase, don't be discouraged from the reviews from those few who got faulty systems. Sony will replace or fix their system and they will change their tune. Get the PS4 while you can!

This console is EPIC, from the graphics to the blazing speed.. I had pre-ordered mine since June, I was so accustomed to the ps3, once I received the ps4 in the mail, I connected it very easily with the same wiring and ports as the ps3, didn't even have to use the ps4's. I turned it on, had to do a quick update and setup, within a few minutes ( I have a PSN account) I was online playing ghosts. Let me tell you, the speed and graphics that the ps4 offers is simply amazing! PS3 has NOTHING on it, if you have the money or have been good this christmas, I would definitely ask santa for a ps4, good luck though, they are hard to find! ;)

PlayStation 4 is a great system. It has a very fast User Interface though it can be a little confusing to find certain setting, but nothing that a few minutes couldn't rectify. Booting up a game is pretty quick and when you press the PS Home button it's very quick and takes you back to the home screen and you can check out your player feed or surf the web quickly for a tip or strategy. This is very convenient if you're playing and you don't want to take out the laptop to check. DualShock 4 feels great in my hands and the triggers are a major improvement to the DualShock 3. They seem to make the DS4 weigh a bit more which feels great. PlayStation Camera is pretty cool and the demo The Playroom is great if you want an interactive goof off session with your family and friends. Toddlers will love it. Well, not sure what else to type here. If you're on the fence about the PS4 - don't be, it's a great system and PlayStation fan/Gamers in general will love this system.

If you are a gamer, this is a must have! You will be amazed by the next gen graphics as they are on par with current super gaming computer graphics. The controller life is, what I think, to be a little short lived but you can charge your controller while the PS4 is in standby mode.

Really glad that the PS Move is an optional add-on as opposed to the always-on microphone and camera of the XBone. I don't have a whole lot of room to run and jump around in front of my TV anyway. Resolution is outstanding and despite what you may read, I haven't had any frame rate issues. The controller has definitely improved from the PS3 Dualshock as well, the shoulder buttons feel much sturdier (almost like the XBox bumpers) and the clickable touchpad feels natural and easy to adapt to. Integrated Netflix UI is great as well for those times I get sick and tired of retrying tailing missions in ACIV. Launch titles are extremely limited, however, so unless you're dying to play one or two of them on a next-gen console, perhaps wait a few months for Watch Dogs, Infamous, or Destiny (or even longer for Elder Scrolls Online). Also, from time to time I hear a noisy thrashing coming from the disc drive motor; hopefully this isn't something that becomes an issue.

The PS4 game console is a great system. You no longer need to wait for a whole update to finish while waiting to play a game for the first time as it downloads a portion of the update/game and allows you to play right away. The new dual shock 4 is very comfortable in the hands and adds new features like the touchpad, light bar, headset jack and dedicated share button. The ability to access your PS4 content from your Iphone or Android device is amazing! You can also use a PS vita as a second screen or remotely play PS4 games on it! I would highly recommend this console to anyone looking to get in on the next generation of gaming.

Okay, I got my PS4 at midnight. I'm a die hard Playstation fan, so I knew I was gonna be at my local Best Buy picking it up. I got it home and took it out the box, hooked it up to my tv with the included HDMI cord (definitely appreciate that Sony), and jumped on the internet. That's where things got a little testy. It took almost 2 hours to get the first software update installed and get signed in with my PSN account info. I can't really blame the system; it was a major launch and there was bound to be a major issue with the PSN server. After I finally got connected, I immediately jumped into CoD: Ghosts. The game was beautiful! Plus, I really like the social networking experience. The integration with Facebook was pretty seamless and I love the fact you can instantly share gameplay on your social media sites. Just hit the share button, edit the video and upload. All in all, I love my PS4 and would recommend it to anybody looking for a next gen system.

First lets talk about the new design , its the old school box style look, but with the twist of the new slim and sleek modern appearance. This console requires an update from Sony to play online which is useless, and may cause system failure but, Soo far so Good 4 me! I haven't been able to get the Bluetooth to work or any of my headsets to work properly.(Astro A40s, Turtlebeach and a regular cell phone Bluetooth). Hopefully Sony resolves this problem soon. Now every game you use on the system will have to be installed on the hard drive, So 500gb hard drive is it really enough? after so many 40gb-50gb games were going to need a bigger hard drive. But installing the games on the hard drive should help the blu ray player. Now the controller! This is were sony did a great job, the R2,L2 triggers are awesome and the joysticks are now dimpled for a more control. Overall I expected more from the PS4, like better faster graphics and with their new AMD 8 core CPU it sill feels like i'm playing the PS3. This isn't a high end PC gaming system but its the closest thing for its price and size. So the big question. Is it worth it? Well I don't regret my purchase, and Sony will eventually work out the little kinks. Just like when the PS3 launched, it needed updates. So Why not, I will enjoy my PS4 until Sony releases the PS5. This machine is sexy. It is like a well oiled machine and it runs everything but netflix perfectly... Netflix needs to fix their app.. It freezes my PS4 at least 10 times a day.. Not only do i have to hard restart it, I have to wait about a minute or two till it checks the memory and such to see if there is corruption. Besides netflix this system was worth pre-ordering and picking up at midnight. I can't wait till more titles are released for it, but i feel it was well worth the purchase and was cheaper than the XBOX One as well! Save yourself some money and when the PS4 comes back in stock buy it! You wont be disappointed!

Great next gen system, but lack of games and lack of console availability is holding it back. That will change with time so no worries here. Impressed with look and feel of controller as well as being easy to set up out of the box, I can't wait till more games become available.

I'm glad I got the chance to buy the Playstation 4. It is a significant improvement from Playstation 3 in term of graphics, user interface, and the controller. Gaming has never been this clear. And with more triple A titles on the way, it's sure to be the best next gen console.

I adore this machine. It worked perfectly as soon as I set it up. It requires a long update at first, but what console doesn't? The controller fits just right and the motion sensor feature they added is easy to use. It's as quiet as a mouse and I plan on marrying it to my PS3.

I'm a big fan of PlayStation so for me it was definitely well worth the cost And the games are absolutely higher definition then PlayStation 3. Set up was also easy just follow the step by step instructions and you can't go wrong. If you liked ps3 you will love ps4 even more.
