Im a 19 year old boy that love to game..ive study the ps3 and xbox from inside and out and ive always chosen the playstation why..cuz the hardware they add is awsome ps3 came with only 3 type ps3,ps3 slim and the new ps3 super. Super slim..as with xbox they came out with so many differemt xboxs with all different hardware trying to fix one problem to another but the ps3s only put out 3 with the same hardware but just a cooler adds to it..of my choice i got to say the playstation 4 is the next gen gaming system to all ps fans..:)

Overall I am very happy with my launch console. It is the console of choice this generation and I am happy with the focus on games before anything else. That being said there is limited software at this point but that is always the case at launch with new systems. The controller is amazing I was a skeptic but I love everything about it. The overall UI system is a huge improvement over ps3 and I love the multi-tasking. Great purchase would recommend.

I haven't had a playstation since the 2nd generation system and now I'm reminded of what I was missing. The system is easy to navigate, the controller is wonderfully comfortable, and the graphics are exactly what you'd expect from a next gen system. My mouth remains dropped.

Reading all these reviews I am seeing a lot of the same things being said, but for someone who bought both consoles during launch they are both great machines. Both consoles have there strengths and weaknesses but both are very good. I myself was really looking forward to the watchdogs coming out at launch and it didn't so that was upsetting. But now for all those out there bashing the x1 needed to buy the console and play it before they go rambling on. Like I said before the ps4 is amazing I absolutely love it but I also love my x1. I will will say the ps4 does have a little better graphics but it's so minimal not that noticeable from what everyone is saying and I play on a 55 in Samsung 1080p. As far as the interface for the x1 it's awesome while it connects to my TV I actually use it not for media and such. In conclusion both consoles are amazing but before you go talking down Microsoft maybe you should give it a try first.

The Playstation 4 lives up to the hype. At $400, it is substantially less costly than the PS3 was at launch, and though more expensive than Wii U, it offers a ton of horsepower under the hood. In the box, it comes with a month of Playstation + service and a $10 PSN card, enough to get you started with a downloadable game. There are also 3 free games for anyone, not just PS+ subscribers. They are good games, too. Subscribe to plus, and 3 free games becomes 5. But what we're really getting the PS4 for are the big titles. I purchased Assassin's Creed: Black Flag (a multi-platform, multi-generational port), and Killzone: Shadow Fall (a First-Party Exclusive). Killzone certainly looks gorgeous and plays very fluidly. Black Flag is the Assassin's Creed gameplay you know and love, but with some added benefits of nicer graphics and the features of the DS4 controller. It's a great system with a ton of features at a very reasonable price.

I am an avid gamer, I have owned almost every console since the Atari 2600. I loved my Playstation, loved the PS2, loved my Xbox, absolutely LOVED my Xbox 360, but no console yet has come close to how much I am pleased by the PlayStation 4. The Graphics are 1080p and look jaw dropping awesome. If you do your research you will find the other ONE is a very less powerful console that runs at a lower graphic resolution on most games. The games are amazing. Right now the games to me isn't a very strong lineup. but the support that Sony gives developers this is going to be the "gaming console" you want!!! The other ONE isnt a gaming console it's more supported and directed at consumers tv, sports, movie media and gaming console last. The PS4 is a Gaming Console FIRST! Dont go wrong by steering away and choosing the other ONE, make the right choice, read the reviews, read the polls. If you want a gaming console, then you want a PS4!

Everything is great about this console. I have had no issues. Runs very smooth. It has a great interface. Simple and easy to understand. Traffics are fantastic! Love the new dualshock 4! Been a playstation fan for a long time and really impressive with songs latest console

The games look amazing the controller is super comfortable this system is the best hands down my brother got the xbox one and he wasn't that amazed by it we trited the same games and compared the graphics and ps4 came out on top I would recommend this product to everyone

I'm highly satisfied with my new PS4. Great graphics, great upcoming games (not excited about most launch games besides need for speed and I surprisingly like black flag) and a new controller. I love the ability to save video (although I haven't figured out how to access them without making another video or picture) and upload it online or even just a picture because sometimes I have some crazy situations and they're so crazy that I want others to see it. Now that's possible with the ps4. I can also use my PS Vita to control my ps4 or even play games on it and the graphics look great. No more having to buy a vita version of a game. You have to be near the ps4 or on the same wifi connection I believe. The touch pad on the back is used for certain buttons as well. I can also use my galaxy to control my ps4 using an app. I have a lot of fun playing this system and I recommend it to any gamer. You need this in your life!!!

This is the first playstation I have ever owned and I must say I am very impressed with this machine!!!!! Since Microsoft started making xbox I have been a die hard xbox guy and I figured id always be but this new generation has me disappointed me a lot they strayed a little bit to far from being a gaming machine that I like!!! So after countless hrs of reviews and videos i bought this BEAST and i am very happy i did!!! i cannot wait for the games to start pushing through and especially MLB THE SHOW!!!!! All i can say is get one of these when u actually can cause it took me till mid feb to get one LOL

I love the ps4 it's fast & it comes with a earphone is not so well but it's a start

I absolutely love this system. It was easy to setup out of the box. The day one patch was quick and simple to install. The machine is light and just beautiful. Do yourself a favor and step up to the next gen.

This is the best console out there! Xbone is second class to this beefy system.

I just ordered the White Glacier Destiny PS4 and I am so pumped! I have always had a thing for Playstation, going all the way back to the PS1 with my favorite crash bandicoot! I skipped the PS2 in favor of the Xbox because of the Halo Franchise. But got back on with Sony when PS3 came out. I owned a couple of 360's, notice the "couple" part as they kept breaking on me. My PS3 lasted forever, I only had to send it in to get it fixed but that's only because I kept it running for 4 days straight. Anyways, PS4 is my favore again this generation and my obsession in going into bestbuy just to hold the controller they have on display pathetic. Amazing system, amazing power, amazing controller and amazing greatness.

PICKED THIS GEM UP ON LAUNCH DAY. WHAT MORE CAN I SAY? THE PLAYSTATION IS EASY TO HOOK UP TO YOUR HDMI TELEVISON (HDMI AND AC CORDS INCLUDED ONLY, SO YOU BETTER HAVE AN HDMI READY TV). ONCE YOU HOOK IT UP, YOU SET UP YOUR SETTINGS, PLAYSTATION PLUS ACCOUNT, AND DOWNLOAD THE FIRST UPDATE (DOESN'T TAKE LONG) AND GET GAMING. GRAPHICS ARE AWESOME, VERY CRISP, AS IT SHOULD BE ON A NEXT GENERATION CONSOLE. THE GAMES LOOK BEAUTIFUL. AS FOR THE CONTROLLER. IT IS A STEP UP FROM PREVIOUS ONES WITH THE TOUCH PAD AND SPEAKER TO GO WITH THE USUAL DUAL SHOCK FEATURES. THE ONLY THING I DON'T LIKE IS THE "SHARE" BUTTON ON THE CONTROLLER TO SHARE YOUR GAMING ACHIEVEMENTS WITH OTHERS VIA FACEBOOK AND TWITTER. MY PERSONAL OPINION, I COULD HAVE DONE WITHOUT THAT FEATURE (I DO NOT HAVE FACEBOOK OR TWITTER AND NEVER WILL). BUT, ITS NO BIG THING. I JUST WON'T USE IT. AND IT CERTAINLY WON'T KEEP ME FROM PLAYING THE GREAT GAMES

For the most part I would give this system 5 stars..... The graphics are great and so far it seems very easy to use, I would definitely recommend system to family and friends .... However interface will take a little getting use to, big change from recent system .

Overall this is a great gaming system. Graphic is beautiful. I like the changing light on the controller, system isn't as bulky as it looked on the box. I haven't had any problem so far. I miss playing online for free! LOL I understand SONY has to make some money.

Sony has done it right again bringing home consoles 2 an all new level making it very comparable with a gaming pc so pc fanboys cant knock off consoles anymore sayin pc is a master race cause it has "so much" better graphics but overall i am very satisfied with bestbuy service and my new ps4 would definitely recommend to everybody that is a true gamer because PS4 is truly a fantastic gaming console the controller redesign feels great now for first person shooters cant wait for the games to start coming out this is gonna be one hell of a generation with my new console oh and please dont listen to all the negative reviews many ignorant people leaving stupid reviews on here having gone through 3 xbox 360s in the past and only 1 ps3 i can truly say with confidence i made the right decision with my purchase thanks again bestbuy for the fast shipping get ready for an awesome generation of gaming!

This is a great gaming system...and TV companion. It is advertised as the machine for gamers, and it does that well. The great thing is that it also does video apps great as well (i.e. Netflix, Hulu, Crackle). I've been an early adopter for electronics a lot, and this has been a good experience. I'm not saying it is perfect - as there is definitely some software optimization to do. It isn't that they did a poor job, but testing is a small sample of people - now that it is out to 1 million + users, they are able to see/hear what users want from the menu. Having said that, the system works really well and is smooth!!! They have done a good job keeping in touch with us, as their early adopters, and are continuing to perfect the software! You won't be disappointed with getting this bad boy. The DualShock 4 is awesome and the games look great! I can't wait for more games to start rolling out.
