Overall the PS4 is a solid machine. It's faster than the ps3 in multi-tasking. So far, my only complaint is that the PS4 controller dies faster, when compared to the PS3. Primarily due to the light on it. The PS4 has a lot of potential for the future when more games are released. Plus, streaming is good, but they need to add youtube and other sharing options.

Having owned Playstations and Xboxs since their inception, I've always enjoyed both, with an edge towards Sony. This system links seamlessly with my Vita, has amazing hardware specs and graphics etc. I'm fully enjoying my purchase. The OS reminds me a bit of Xbox, and my only other compliants are that previous Bluetooth Headsets from Sony for PS3 are incompatible and you can't easily access your download list from the PSN Store. The $10 PSN Credit was a nice touch, and I've been a PS+ member since that started, which has always been worthwhile with the free games. Unfortunately for Microsoft, this will be the first Xbox console I won't be buying. Nothing about it 'wows' me.

Games are fantastic I purchased nba 2k14 and was blown away by the graphics system runs quietly if it wasn't for the power light you wouldn't know it's on going to purchase bf4 and kill zone can't wait to see what the future has in store for the ps4

Picked up my pre ordered system on launch day with no issues and no wait. Good for you die hards that waited in line and got it at midnight. But while the setup was effortless, the login process was not. All that resolved after playing play room and Battlefield for a bit and now I have no problems. Remote play is awesome and works flawlessly on Vita. If you are a Playstation fan, you are going to get an awesome system and enjoy it very much. If you are not, then you probably got an XBOX or you would still enjoy it, and how integrated the system is. So go get it.

The interface is clean and intuitive. The games look really good. I wish blu ray 3d was already part of the movie player but I hear it's coming soon. Twitch is great and easy to use. The camera is an easy pass right now because it does not do much.

Beautiful vivid graphics with smooth seamless game play and a new redesigned home screen. Still waiting for PS Store library to grow but I'm sure it will be great. Hopefully the updates will become less frequent soon because the servers have been very slow not allowing for much gaming time in between updates. All in all I would give it 4 out of 5 stars while assuming the PSN server issues are only temporary.

Great graphics, controller feels comfortable. limited game selection at launch but will get better with time. No need to upgrade now if you have a ps3/Xbox 360 but if you want to be the first to have the latest and greatest then the ps4 is a must.

So first impressions of both the PS4 and the Xbox One. Xbox is really fun!! The kinect and interactive capabilities are amazing. It's overall more "fun" after the first 24 hours with each system. But the games are more fun to play vs PS4 games so far. However the raw power of the PS4 is evidently clear while playing the 2. It's faster, more responsive and games are more fluid. It downloads 3 times faster and performs all in all better for strictly gaming purposes. I would say if you only, only want it for games. PS4 hands down. However, at this moment I am surprised to say, I favor the Xbox One ever so slightly on its pure joy to use and play. Day 1, Xbox 9.0, PS4 8.5

I've been gaming with playstation since the psone, and I'm really digging the ps4 so far. The UI is easy to work and understand, and the new dualshock is a huge upgrade from the ds3. Can't wait for some more impressive titles to start rolling in.

I really like the compact design of this system. It is silent as well. I am very happy with the Playstation brand. Can't wait for more games to come out. For now it is Assassin's Creed Black Flag, which is pretty fun and great to look at as well.

I bought the destiny special edition playstation and literally spent a month playing games. I have a very small collection going but am excited about what Sony is bringing to the table with the up and coming games. I love all of the reboots and all of the new story lines. I am super happy with my purchase and don't plan on stopping the game train anytime soon!!

It's great for the whole family, my dad uses netflix and media, I play my games, and my girl likes the interactive playroom with asobi and ar hockey. Super clean graphics. Other than short controller battery life and slow load times it's great.

This console is really small. Sony engineers really surpass all expectations putting all that hardware on such a small device. Graphics are beautiful. They really improve the controller this time. The only downside here. We need more AAA games.

I'm a big fan of PS and I'm glad I was able to to buy one launch day. Controls feel a lot better than the dual shock 3. Easily switch between menus while you're playing. Downloads and installs game updated while you play. Awesome system to have

If like me you love to have the newest things as they cone out, then surely you won't be disappointed. However if you're deciding whether it's worth spending on right now, it's probably not. Most games out gir it now are still out for ps3 and 360 so you arent missing anything. The graphics are great, but they aee also great on pS3 and 360. The PS user interface feels old and lacks customizable options. Overall, the anticipation of buying it and opening it were the high point. The games such as ghosts, battlefield 4 and assassins creed are amazing, but are equally amazing on ps3/360. However, if you can afford it now it's a better investment than to continue spending on last gen games. I'm not sure that it's better than the xbox one but I chose it due to the events surrounding the xbox one release and having more friends on PSN.

This system is awesome!! extremely fast, awesome graphics. My only dislike is the battery life of the controller is short. compared to the dual shock 3. They last about 6 hours. its not bad but compared to the dual shock 3 its some what short.

The system runs smooth and the next gen graphics are stunning. You have the ability to move through applications seamlessly and run some at applications the same time. Party chat finally arrived which was much needed the new ability to stream to twich runs really nice and doesn't seem to take away from the experience. Also under the share button is the ability to take screen shots and record gameplay that you can upload to Facebook or Twitter which I've found to be a feature I use very often. Standby mode is amazing because the system will update the operating system and game firmware on its own so there is no time wasted when it's game time and when you oair it with the Playstation app you can purchase games etc on the go and have them download to your unattended system. All in all it's worth every penny this system costs.

I am very happy with the PS4 so far. It's a bit early to make a final judgement on the console because we still need to see what games will be coming out in the next year and how they turn out. Based on everything I've seen and read though, PS4 is the console for hardcore gamers; it has more graphical power, a cleaner more focused design and Sony has gone out of their way for forge strong relationships with developers to make sure great games are coming soon. MS seems to be focusing on Multimedia... TV... Movies... controlling your cable box etc and games have taken the back seat. I don't care about all that, I just want to play games, and Sony's mind seems to be in the right place for that. Assassin's Creed IV in 1080p looks amazing and runs as smooth as games on my PC. I'm very happy so far. Looking forward to the next year!

Amazing graphics, speed, and great UI. Have not had a single problem with this machine yet in the 6 months i've owned it. Netflix, Bluray, and you can control youtube through your phone with youtube.com/tv in the playstation web browser
