The PS4 is an extremely powerful system. Starting up the system for the first time prompts for a system update, but it downloads relatively quickly (depends on your home network speed). The new dashboard is very easy to navigate, and the new controller's Share functionality adds a new level of social interaction with console gaming. The touchpad on the controllers when used with Killzone is very simple to use and a very unique way of controlling your drone. I'm excited to see what they do with the touchpad in future games, as well as the built in speaker on the controller.

The PS4 packs quit a powerful and visual punch I like the new OS. Its smooth and streamlined, however, there is a learning curve. There is a small library at launch and nothing that has blown me away visually. I think that will change after a few more next gen titles come out. Personally, I can hardly wait for Uncharted 4. Naughty Dog really knows how to push a system to its max and make some great visuals as well as make a great story. Overall, Id say get it sooner than later if you dont want to wait, its definetely worth it, but don't expect great games for a few months.

The PS4 is a very sleek console, not only does it look nice but everything serves a purpose. I notice small things for example: The PS3, when connecting the USB cable to charge the battery of the DS3, sometimes the PS3 would shift because I am applying enough force (my natural force) to do so. The PS4 doesn't shift. It is well grounded. Extremely fast and a lot of content at launch.

My PS4 worked well out of the box. Thankfully not one of the DOA units that were out there. The new interface for the PS4 is really quick and easy to use.

This is a great system and is capable of alot but still has software to catch up on to make it smooth. Also the controller feels great but the battery is terrible probably because of the light bar and speaker built in. Overall though this console is better than the Xbox One.

This system is wonderful from the UI to the actual feel. This system deserves a five star rating but it's a lot of owners from day one release that are having issues (as expected somewhat). My issue happens to be that the system tends to automatically eject the game (s) partically COD that I play. This has happened when patch came through from Sony (1.51) and has continued up until yesterday until I eventually turned the system up right and the issue stopped for now. Other state that the issue happens in the upright position also. I am giving it another week and if it happens in the upright postition then I will have to return the product. Wonderful system but at the end of the day I just want to game and if that cannot be achieved due to this issue that Sony has not addressed yet then I will return or go to the X Box One. I prefer the PS4 though! I have been with Sony since day one. My score is a four star only becasue of the issue.

I absolutely think everyone needs one. It is easy to use and really fast. Love the graphics. DC Universe is really good on it too. I HIGHLY recommend it.

Very impressive console and it runs very cool.no heating problem like xbox 360.party chat and butter smooth interface. It's 100 dollar cheaper then xbox.

Amazing console. Blew away my expectations. I have an extremely powerful gaming PC and it outperforms if in many aspects. Extremely powerful and responsive. Games play amazing. I have not had a SINGLE issue with my console since I picked it up at the midnight launch. Great work from Sony. Love the seamless streaming and recording features as well. Best $400 I've ever spent. Being it is a launch console, I would recommend the protection plan, just in case.

Lucky enough to get my hands on one the day after launch without a reserve :) definitely the future of gaming graphics are mind blowing cant wait to see future games dual shock 4 is nice too comfy grip must have for everyone into games

I was skeptical going into this purchase because I wasn't too happy with the PS3 hardware itself. I'm glad that SONY listened to the gamers. The system itself was completely overhauled. It has a new interface and 2GB of RAM dedicated to APP multitasking. Chatting with your friends has never been easier and switching between APPS is a breeze. Swapping HDD's was easy as pie. The best part is you can now share video so you can showoff your epic domination on multiplayer games. Sky is the limit right now for this system. I cant wait to see what they come up with next.

I love my new ps4. Great graphics, multi tasking, implemented my iPhone and iPad in the experience. Just wish the controller had a better battery life.

This is an amazing machine that has a lot of potential. The first few games I've played have been great and I love the new controller. After an hour or so of hard use it seems to get hot and the fans are loud. I'm excited for upcoming games and getting into online mode.

The new console is fantastic and the new controller is pretty sweet too.. However, I found myself downloading firmware,DLC and PSN network games the night of launch. This is common however, YOU CANNOT GO BACK AND " Re-Download " anything from your history. You can see your item by item transaction history ( like on the PS3 ) but you CANNOT re-download the content.. For some weird reason my BF4 DLC content did not download with the other things that night. FIRMWARE needs to fix this bug... Solid machine and sony actually gives you the HDMI cord this time......

Waited in Line for this system. All I have to say is that it is worth every single penny! A lot better than the XBOX 1, and 50% better then it as well in all aspects. Graphics are amazing, New controller is freakin awesome, The blue lights and other lights changing in some games add a nice new kick to it as well. Simple to use, and 100$ cheaper than the XBOX 1!!! I would also by the Turtle beach PX4 along with the PS4. Although many people complained about it, I have no problems whatsoever with the product and makes the Playstation gaming experience complete.

I picked up my system opening day and I was immediately amazed by the improvements made over the PS3. The difference in gameplay and seamless functionality is night and day compared to everything I have been used to. Even with a game as massive as AC4, load times between different areas are drastically reduced and for the most part, completely gone. The processor and video card are more than capable of handling seamless transitions and graphics that are almost as clear as a blu ray played on my 65" 4k tv. Graphics that, until this point, were only available on super expensive gaming computers. The only real shortfall is how many games are available on the market and I would have rated the system with 4.7 if I was able to. But, even though there aren't many games out there, the ones that are available are good quality, which is always better than quantity. Do yourself a favor and pick one up. Greatness does await.
