The next generation of consoles are here, and they look good, but we won't really know who the "winner" is for at least a year, I would say. The PS4 controller improvements seem nice, though possibly at the cost of shorter battery life. Resogun is an incredibly fun game, but hardly a reason to drop $400 on the console. If you are an early adopter, like myself, then you probably already have one or are trying to find one. I would hold off until more titles are available or the bulk of your friends have moved. As for PS4 vs XBOne.. not really my bag to get into that battle - I own both and they both have their merits.

Out of the box, this machine is sleek, easy to set up and feels great. There were a few (expected) first day/weekend kinks to work out. Most of them have been. Games play great. I'm really excited for the future of this machine and when developers start making games specifically for next gen consoles. I think that is when we will really start to see how great these consoles can be.

My son says the Playstation 4 is better than the xbox 360. He says the graphics are better and he enjoys playing the system so much more than the xbox 360 that he gave the xbox 360 up so that the Playstation 4 could be his # 1 and only game system. So far he has purchased 3 games with the system and has asked his Aunt to buy him the camera that comes with the system for Christmas.

Console is so fast and swapping in and out of games into Playstation store and other apps is seamless. Makes my PS3 feel archaic. Best part is the new Dualshock controller. There is a 3.5mm output on it where you can output sound. No need to buy a huge, clunky $200 omega prime uber headset anymore. You can just output sound through it to your choice of earbud of stereo headphones.

The PS4 is an upgrade of the PS3 in many ways. The main update would be the new dashboard and the visuals. As an example I will use Battlefield 4. I played it on my PS3 and thought that it looked very good. But when loaded on my PS4 my jaw almost dropped when I 1st saw the detail in the maps. Great system so far and I can't wait to see what Sony has to offer in the next few years.

This gaming console is awesome I've enjoyed every moment playing it and I can't seem to find anything wrong with that there are no bugs that I have experienced and I really enjoy knowing that I will never have to buy another hard drive because of the 500 GB included The games are amazing come out with great graphics and I cannot complain about the frame rate because it is perfect

Unlike others I have had zero problems with my PS4. I got mine on launch day and it has worked flawlessly. The graphics on Killzone: Shadow Fall look awesome. The new dual shock 4 controller is far better than the previous one. I'm excited for more games like Destiny to come out but KZ4 will have to do until then. I would definitely recommend this new system if you can find one.

New controller is awesome. Very comfortable and sturdy. There were serious problems with PSN first couples days after release. Seems resolved. Video quality of games seems very good. Hope titles that utilize the new power of the PS4 fully come out shortly. I think some software issues with PS4 could be improved and I am sure that will happen. Love my new PS4 and playing Ghosts.

A lot of anticipation for this release...based on the expectations set since it was first announced, the PS4 delivers. The hardware is powerful, the new controller is exactly what's been missing, and the launch games are just 'good' - as expected for a new console - but show huge potential for some really incredible gaming once the platform starts maturing. I'm all-in on Sony.

the system came packaged very neatly and small packaging. set up was simple has a lot of options for for preferences when setting up. controller is nicely redone and a lot more comfortable for long hours. system is sleek and allows you to play the game while it downloads. download speed is slow and interupts a lot, i got seveal fail messages with the downloading of online free downloads. sysetm keeps saying that it loses network connection. psn is nice and had several fee games at launch and has all games as options to download online. overal im happy with the system just want the online services to work.

If you want a pure gaming machine then Playstation 4 is for you. I own a Xbox one as well. I like how fast the Playstation 4 is. But if you want an entire entertainment machine buy an Xbox. The Xbox controls my entire home theater and i like that. Now if your a kid and don't have a home theater buy a Playstation. I like both systems a lot. I'm just giving my unbiased opinion.

Such a great console. Madden and NBA look extremely realistic and battlefield is absolutely insane.

Graphics are great. Ease of setting up just as easy as the PS3. Gaming headset Astros work perfect. Like the fact that Sony included a mic and HDMI cable with the PS4.

Did a preorder when the system was released. Fired up and it started with no issues. I know some had issues with the blue light of death. After the system updates I was up and running. I like that you can start up your game where you left off. Fast action graphics with no lag. Hope DNLA comes later

The new controller is awesome and has a great feel to it. The internal speaker and comfortable feel of it is better then the ps3. The graphics are better and obviously will support much more advanced game play in the future. The main thing I am disappointed in is that Sony took away all the entertainment functions that the ps3 had such as using it as a storage device for photos and videos and organizing them beautifully. And basically having the ability of plugging in just about any use device to it. I really hope they change that in the future and make it more of a entertainment device that it once was.

It's a great system overall. Maybe a little unfair since I have been a fan since play station one. Classic feel of the controller mean not having to learn anything from scratch besides the touch pad. Console not bulky , nice and smooth very clean looking. Wish there was more of a game selection during initial release of system. Looking forward to new games with this console.

Gone are the cluttered interfaces and extra junk. In is a great new controller design and slick interface. The ps4 is bringing "gaming" back to the heart of consoles.

First of all, it is too soon to say too much about the ps4, but the games that are in development sound fantastic. This console is playing at 1080p, and the games look fantastic, specially killzone. The controller is the best, with upgrades that really impact the game. Overall, I believe that the ps4 is the best option, specially if you are looking for a video game console.
