Been a fan of Playstation since it's inception and have purchased every upgrade. Like with previous versions, the Playstation 4 doesn't disappoint. Improvements include better graphics and sound. The social networking it a positive step forward.

I had the choice between the Xbox One and the PS4. I went with the PS4 because the overall design isn't about an all in one media box and more about gaming. A gaming system should be this way. The Xbox One is a fancy cable box with gaming capabilities. So far no complaints about the system I purchased! I am also grateful my system didn't come with the blue light of death!

So far easy setup. All games play with great quality. System stays quiet.

The PS4 is awesome. The new contoller is great, but the share and option buttons need a change. The hardware itself is perfect. I don't need to have the camera. The online subscription isn't necessary, but if you want it, it is $10 cheaper than xbox one. The name for the console also makes sense, unlike the wii U and the Xbox One, lol. Great system, definitely recommend.

I'm in Love... with my girlfriend, so I don't get to play like I want too. Lol. But from the amount of time I've played so far, I give it a solid 9. The only thing that worries me is that your games download to the hard drive. I understand it makes the games load faster, but your going to eat up memory quick. All I ask for is maybe an addition of an external hard drive.

Once the big names start rolling in with their top tier software titles.... this machine will be the one everyone will want. Combined withthe ability to share experiences on social media, the ability to turn your PS4 into the multimedia center of your home, automatic updates, newly designed controller and interface, there's no better way to spend 400 if you are a gamer.

I gave the PS4 4 stars only because of its potential, cool new user interface, and ability to record gameplay. I also feel that when compared to the Xbox One it deserves 4 stars. I was very disappointed with the PS4's capabilities and available titles at launch. Clearly lots of potential and hopefully Sony will release new software that allows playback of formats that makes it a no brainer over the Xbox One. The games are bound to get better, it was the same way with the PS3 launch. However, unless you got money to burn or are a serious enthusiast, in which case you'd already have one, I'd wait.

Would have been 5 stars except mine came with a broken disc reader. Chalking that up to bad luck whether that happened somewhere on the supply chain who knows. Currently on its way back to Sony but not before I tested everything else and played digital games. Assuming everything is repaired (which I have every belief it will), this system is perfect. It ups the ante in every way from the Playstation 3. The graphics are great but more importantly, it operates at a way quicker rate. The social improvements are also noticeable and the controller is simply amazing. Definitely a recommended purchase.

its a very power fast loading awsome graphics and the controller is better on the hands . Once u get your hands on this you will not let it go . the games are alot more stand out than the ' other one " system . you will make this the system of choice with all this power it has. Easy to set up easy to use after the download update you will get going with so much to do .

Its the best system out there. It destroys the XBox One, and is cheaper.

This was really easy to set up if you have a PS3 then the PS4 will look very familar. The PS4 is awesome. Played Ghosts and man it rocked. You also get some nice free stuff included with your PS4, like 30 days to PSN and $10.00 credit for your PSN account. It comes with HDMI cable, headphones and one remote. Over all loved it. It all realy comes together with the PS4.

Overall what Sony claimed they delivered. I am concerned with the over heating issues I am hearing, it concerns me. I dodged the bullet of the faulty hdmi and Ethernet port issues. I am hoping the over heating is not an issue. Overall the PS4 is the way to go and I was a loyal 360 owner over my PS3 God of War edition on any given day. I never thought I would say that.

as a previous PlayStation 3 owner I just got a PlayStation 4 and find the system incredibly graphics although some of the new games seem to be a direct port and the system is still new and not using its full capability but I think it will overly be a great success for all the gamers out there

Bought this unit on launch day and put it away for a Christmas gift. After reading the reviews about some of the units having the blinking blue light problem I was a bit worried...but people that issue only effected 1% of the launch consoles and I didn't loose much sleep. Needless to say...we opened it up on Christmas day and everything has worked perfectly so far. The necessary system update was simple and didn't take long. If you buy this system...You simply must get the PS4 camera that's sold separately. The camera has some cool features and a whole lot of potential. Oh....and you don't have a big stupid power brick to contend with like the xbox! Seriously...it's almost 2014 and that's their best solution to concerns with over-heating. Can this unit control your TV cable box? No....But who cares!!! I didn't want a new AV control unit like the Xbox....I wanted the best gaming console on the current market which is the PS4. They just need a few more games which I'm confident will be out soon.

I think this is a great product. If you go into it with reasonable expectations, I think you will come away happy. Maybe blown away like me. No matter if you buy one or not, always do your research and match that up with your demands and (realistic) expectations and I think you come away feeling like you maximized your money. I sure feel this way about this purchase.

really enjoying the ps4. it is super slim and powerful. games are sweet

Despite early issues with software and some games running very poorly, it seems like bot sony and the game makers alike are working fast to resolve all issues with the online content. As far as a gaming system alone goes it runs great. Fast frame rate quick load times and amazing graphics make this ideal for a gamer looking towards the future. While Microsoft focuses on al media sony has kept to gaming and delivers. Be it some hog frame rate high speed racing in NFS rivals or an all out 66 player war with buildings falling all around you in battlefield the system does what it was built for.

I love my PS4! I have had it for almost a year and it is wonderful! I have enjoyed playing games on it, and I do not regret this purchase!
