The new PS4 has given me what I have expected from Sony. A solid gaming platform that is very familiar to Playstation users. It is a step up from all previous gaming systems but nothing revolutionary. While the games look great, there is not a lot more that I am getting out of the PS4 besides gaming and Netflix. If you are a gamer this is definitely a system you need but just not right away. Also, I have had some minor hardware issues like games playing with no audio and apps crashing. I think I have fixed issues with rebuilding system with help from Sony Tech support.

The menu system is simple and wonderfully refined. Jump into an installed game with ease. Almost a little too simple. All the necessary media app are there... like Hulu and Netflix! Oh, the controllers are glorious!!! Most of the launch games are big franchise titles on other systems, but Battlefield 4 and Need For a Speed Rivals are highly recommended.

The PS4 is a great machine with great performance, but it's full potential has not been realized yet since most of the game developers have not integrated the level of detail that I'm sure is possible. I love the feel of the new controller. Every movement is smooth and precise! I'm a little disappointed that the Sony "Pulse" headset is not compatible with the PS4. I hope they fix this with a software update in the near future. Right now it's a little too early to give a full review, but overall I am happy with my purchase and at no time was I considering the XBOX One.

the customer service was excellent in picking up my ps4 on midnight opening. had everything on display including accessories and games. i purchased a few more things i didnt know existed b/c of the neatly arranged font display items of purchase. the console was in great shape and started playing immediately. love my new ps4. thank you best buy and sony.

I got a launch day PS4 and there were definitely some software problems. Sony has since worked out the issues and the system is working great now. One of the best parts is the playstation App that allows you to connect your phone or tablet to the PS4 and control the console as well as use it as a keyboard, so no more annoying typing with the controller.

PS4 is a great system, easy to pick up and use and great graphics

What I have liked about this so far is being able to switch from the game to the XMB, to messages, to everything while your game is suspended. The layout of the PS4 is great, and the graphics are what we all expected. Low on content right now, but early adopters should expect it.

The latest Gaming console from Sony is a fantastic gaming machine, the graphics are visually stunning !! It comes with the new DualShock 4 controller, which has a speaker in it and is a overall improvement on the DualShock 3 controller. the price was good, they have a few launch day game titles around 20 games. to sum it up...... it's a great deal !!

I have waited what seemed like forever for the PS4 to arrive. When I started playing it, I was amazed with the graphics and color, but was disappointed that I couldn't play any 3d movies on it. That either means there will be a firmware update, or there won't be any more 3d games coming out. I need more games to really evaluate the system as a whole.

Sony has gone for more of the gaming marking than the home theater market. This is good and bad. the system operates flawlessly, and the interface is easy to navigate and looks amazing. however, the loss of the red laser means no more support for dvd movie playback. so i had to pull out my old dvd player instead of using this as an all in one device

The product is great! The graphics and interface are excellent!

Bought my PS4 at launch and am loving it so far. It is so much faster than the old generation. Once we get emerged in this generation of games we will really see what the consol is capable of. Smooth and easy to use dynamic menu and fast and responsive inputs and switching from game to game or game to menu is super fast and just a great experience.

If you don't live for first person shooters or sports games your wasting money getting a launch console. The lack of backwards comparability is a market scheme to get more money at worst and irritating at best. The graphics are awesome on COD Ghosts as I have it on both systems, but the graphics on battlefield 4 were better on the ps3 then for COD on ps4. So it might just be a developer issue. I'm a ps fanboy from final fantasy 7 days and can't wait for 15 and the FFX rehash. Oh and the pay service isn't any better on ps4 than ps3, so don't get your hopes up.

If your looking for a new console in the new generation this is defitnatly the one to pick up. The specs are superb and the xmb hows been improved. Really easy to invite people to your party and/or game. It works and graffics are top notch. Youll be able to get better graffics on the pc, but at a n especially higher price point. Highly recommend.

Ive been a sony fan since ps1. I tried xbox but i felt it didn compare to Playstation. So when the PS4 came out i was excited. It did not let me down I am impressed with everything about this PS. controller,design, graphics are all great. The only downside is it is loud when the fan blows. Not as loud as the PS3 jet engine but loud none the less.

Waited in line for 12 hours to get a PS4 and it was well worth the wait! The graphics are amazing, the new features are awesome! Can't wait for some more games to come out. The only downfall to the system is that you aren't able to charge your controllers unless the system is on or you buy a charging station. Other than that I love my new system!

I have been a playstation user for a while now. Probably since the 2 came out. All I have to say is finally this will end the talk of which one is better! Playstation 4 is a home run! Thanks sony!

I am thrilled with my purchase and have been enjoying the new gaming system. The speed is the biggest notable difference. Graphics seem improved, however I continue to struggle with the inability to play PS3 games on this console. Sony put out a ME TOO Product in my mind, as the PS3 was and continues to be a solid gaming console. Time will tell on whether or not Sony and the Gaming Developers push the limits of the PS4 vast capabilities and speed. I am interested to compare this system with the new XBOX One System. Not 100% sold that Sony is the way to go...

The games available at launch didn't particularly interest me, but I still got one as soon as it came out. What games were available look great, and I can see a lot of potential for future releases of my favorite franchises that will inevitably come to the platform at some point. In the meantime, it's still definitely a big improvement over ps3.
