I sold my xbox one because all developers said the ps4 is easier to make games for and most games are 1080p which I prefer with my 70" sony. I'm very happy with my choice, great gaming system. If your on the fence go with the ps4 you won't be disappointed. I will buy another xbox one someday but for now the ps4 is better in my opinion as an adult gamer

*The Console is stylish and small is size. *You have the advantage of having the flat or on its side standing up, but make sure to give enough room for the fans to work efficiently and not overheat. *It has it's own exclusive games not playable on other consoles. *The controllers are a big improvement over the previous console (ps3), they fit well in the hand and are more responsive, plus the addition of the touch pad give the player more control than ever before. *The graphics are amazing on this new console. Because it has a larger gpu it will always be able to support higher end resolutions. *You are now required to have PlayStation plus membership to play games online. But you also get the opportunity to download 2 games and play them as long is your membership is still active.

I've always been open to both Sony and Microsoft for consoles, so know that this review is not biased. I am very happy with my PS4 purchase. I love the performance of the console, from gaming to using features like the store. The cooling of the console was really well thought too, you can tell how they thought about optimal cooling when you look at the case. For me this console delivers the gaming I want at the smooth frame rate I'd enjoy. But it also has many of the media streaming services I like. 500GB is a very generous capacity to start out at, but know that they made it easy to upgrade the hard drive if you so desire. My cousin upgraded his PS4 with a HDD+SDD combo drive and told me the loading and boot performance with the new drive is awesome. You have to appreciate that they allow you to easily upgrade the HDD in the console. The controllers are new, but still keep the same great feeling as their predecessors. I love the touch pad, and I also love the headphone jack that is build into the controller for those late night gaming sessions or when your playing a Co-Op game with someone over the network. There are many games to play on the console now, and many amazing games coming up soon. If your thinking about purchasing this console, I'd say it is a good time to get one!

I loved my PS3. I now love my PS4. It is faster in all aspects, load times, internet browsing, DLC downloads. Neat new features like "Rest Mode" let you save power but continue to download stuff and charge controllers. Built in game play recording for all the social butterflies out there. Good times for all. Just wish it was backwards compatible.

Over all the ps4 is a good game system. It is easy to set up and navigate the in the home screen. You see a difference in games as well, they are much cleaner. I gave this a 5 rating because of how easy it is to use and navigate.

Took it right out of the box and it immediately began to work!! That is always a great sign. Did everything that we thought it would. The new games we got for Christmas worked wonderfully on it. On the big screen it couldn't get much better. Also used it for movies and that work perfectly as well. Hope all our purchases turn out this well!!!

Didn't plan to buy this - how can I refuse my kids - and my inner child? No regrets though - bought Modern Warfare for it (still kicking myself in the derrier for buying it twice. However, the ability to compare is just priceless - the crispness of the graphics are just awesome. I have a ton of PS3 games and it's now hard to go back when your eyes are looking, nay hungering, for the visual feast from the PS4! I am glad that I can still be amazed at the improvement from generation to generation - but then again, as the title says - I am a fanboy :)

I was hesitant at first purchasing another gaming system. But after an hour, I was sold. The graphics were amazing (on a 50" TV), sound was bold and the bass was great. Now just got to break away and let my kids play!!

Upgraded to a PS4 from the PS3 after waiting for a year to do so. I'm glad I finally did. Although the PS3 was great, PS4 erases all the operational flaws of its predecessor and speeds things up in the menu phases. Obviously, the graphics and flow of games is just flat out incredible. Now if only more games would release at a faster pace.

Easy set up. Games run smoothly. I've had it for nearly 2 months and haven't had any problems. When I turn the PS4 on, it automatically turns the tv to the proper channel which I thought was kinda cool. I can really tell the difference from the PS3. The games are more realistic. Especially BF4 and NBA 2k15. I want to get my son one.

I orginally bought this for a christmas gift, for my nephew. But he had received one on the same day of my purchase. Since I wanted one anyways, I decided to keep it for myself. It's a quiet system, compact, looks great and looking forward to adding accessories and software for more enjoyment.

The PS4 has many pros, and only a few cons. Its setup out of the box is very simple, you only have to practically plug it in, and its done! The fan on it is also very quiet, and the cords aren't bulky. It comes with a HDMI cord too, which is a plus over the PS3. Its controller also fits very well in the hand, and it has an audio jack on it, perfect for plugging in headphones when you aren't wanting to bother someone who is sleeping. The con is I have a Sony made Playstation Elite edition wireless headset, and it won't work wirelessly with the console. It will work, however, when I put the audio jack from it into the controller. Sony has said they were working on a fix for this, so it may come in a further update. All in all, its a very good console

It works great. You can play it all day with it hot.

I like everything performance related to the ps4, and is why I would give it a 4 star rating. It is a gaming system primarily and everything else is just a bonus. But even comparing the OS to the PS3, it isn't very user friendly and overly complicated. Put the PS3 UI on the PS4 and you would have a clear winner and 5 star product. And aside from the annoying UI the ps4 needs to be able to play your own music and movies, overall Sony is losing alot of points here. Not only was one of the main complaints of the ps3 being that you couldn't play your own music in game but now the PS4 can't even play your own music, let alone play it in game. Also, the controller battery is ridiculous, find a way to be able to turn off the front light and save some battery life. The Dualshock 3 and regular ps3 controller were great in this regard. But like i said as a pure gaming system and capabilities I would give it 5 stars (with the UI fixed) but we have swayed away from a pure gaming system since after the ps2. Being that gaming systems are what they are now I have to give it a 3. Not as user friendly as the ps3 but I am still very happy with the product as i do not use the other functions.

Although i consider my Xbox One my primary console for gaming. I absolutely love and think the Playstation 4 is the better "gaming" system. The one is fantastic and the better of the two for Digital Media, but with Multi-platform games coming out with higher resolutions on the ps4 over the Xbox One, it makes me wish that my friends would convert to PS4 for multi-player. Sony recently partnered with Spotify to bring you music streaming which also works IN GAME!!!! This was an amazing feature of that the Xbox 360 also had, but Microsoft dropped the ball with the One. this is a huge bonus to me as a gamer and for PS4

Liking the graphics, quality, speed. The controls are great. Downside backward compatibility. Most of my fav PS3 games can't be used
