I will say that all the great things you hear are true. I'm not that great a techno-whiz so I'm probably not the best guy to go for for a review. All I know is that all that I want in a video game console is here. Great graphics, easy setup, a good controller (a major improvement to the previous Sony controllers), and it won't spy on me while I use it (stay away from the X-BONE!!!). I jut wish that it was backwards compatable. Maybe some of the best selling titles will upgraded like in previous generations, but it is still a major bummer.

What can I said that was not been already said about a ps4? It's a great gaming console and if you combine it with a PSN+ subscription you get a lot of extras for few extra bucks! Great gaming console im really happy with this ps4!

Out with the old (PS3), in with the new (PS4). Bought my PS4 on launch day 11/15/2013 and so far I'm impressed. My PS3 has seen 7 years of non-stop gaming but now it's time to pass the torch on to the next PS for the next 6-7 years from now.

My one pet peeve with the Playstation 4 is that it relies heavily on internet connection for updates and many game features require connectivity as well. Despite My WiFi signal strength showing at 90% it cuts in and out a lot while playing. Causing updates to fail and in-game connectivity features to not function.

We owned every version of Playstation and this PS4 is without a doubt the best one yet and, in my opinion, surpasses its competition. Graphics are amazingly realistic, still the best Bluray player out there and processing speed is great.

The ps4 doesn't disappoint. Nothing revolutionary, but a couple nice new features. The controller has a light bar that glows different colors based on in-game conditions, flashing red at low health or yellow at full power for example. The controller also evolved from start and select, to "share" and "options". Share constantly records the last 15 minutes of gameplay so you can go back and save a clip of you doing something impressive without knowing to turn on a recording app beforehand. Other than that, it's just the next upgrade in graphics/resolution/physics and so on. The only bad thing I can say about the ps4, is that playing it for anything close to 5 hours gets the console so hot that it discolored my desk top in a well ventilated cold basement room. I would recommend buying an aftermarket cooling solution if you enjoy marathon game sessions, or plan on buying Destiny.

The Playstation 4 is an amazing gaming console for all gamers to have! Not only are the games great, but the graphics for this console is great as well! The camera is also a great feature to this console that adds a little extra!!

I'm a Sony fan, had each PlayStation console since v1 (still have PS2 and PS3); each generation improves, as does this one. Graphics are better, sound is better, console options are more diverse...great addition to the PS family.

The variety of games available now and that will be in the future puts the PS4 at the top of my list. It has a bright future ahead of it in games if you like many different genres. The system itself runs very well and is small so that it fits within my relatively small gaming area nicely. My minor complaints are the length of the power cord is quite short, as well as the included USB charger wire for the controller and the controller has a fairly short battery life so I find myself having it plugged in and charging quite often.

This is by far the best gaming system out right now. Playstation does Xbox in for sure. Game titles at launch are lacking, but worth the wait. The interface is wayyyy better than previously. The connectivity and move components are truly upgraded. Motion controllers are optional now, but if you choose to use them the PS3 motion controllers are compatible. Voice activation/commands, upgraded camera, better interface, better controllers, more interactions, better everything.... Just need a few more games to be released and I'm all set.

This is the best Playstation ever. The graphics are wonderful with a new touchpad controller that works great without the issues of the PS3's. We've had it for about a year and have had no issues with it during regular use.

The playstation 4 is a great console, I have no complaints about it. But the PSN account creation is far too intrusive for a simple gaming account, my address, credit card number, and age have no place in a gaming account.

Best gaming graphics ever. PS menu is simple and easy to understand to access all the user's need. Love the games that are usable with the touch pad of the ps controller, great idea for next gen gaming for the controllers. Ps4 is freaking stylish compared to other consoles. Great price compared to xbox1 cuz I really don't have a use for camera or voice controll. I use it every day and runs smooth and low noise. Love it!!

It comes with everything you need including an HDMI cable, controller, controller charging cable and power cord. The free online subscription gives you access to free games monthly (though only as long as you have the sub)

There's not much to say. It's just great! I've only played 2K15 and Advanced Warfare on it but the graphics are great and it's clearly an upgrade from my old Xbox 360. The Blu-ray player works great as well! No complaints.

Sony once again hit it out the park with the ps4 after having to sell my PS3 the ps4 was a great pick up however if you have a ps3 you might want to hold off for a while

It's is a great upgrade from my ps3, ex thing about this ps4 is more sharper and better design . I love playing this everyday . However not really a big selection of games to pick from. But there will new title of games soon.

I bought this for the hubby as he had been wanting one for so long. I love watching him play and the graphics are so good. He is having lots of fun with it and it is the best gaming system I have bought him in the 13 years we have been married.

I really like the functionality of the PS4. It has a lot of good features and there is an improvement in the graphics department. Is it the beginning of the new world order? No. I'm also a little disappointed that PSN ended up following the X-Box live model of pay for multiplayer activity. However, with the success of X-Box Live Gold, that was pretty inevitable.

So, this worked right out of the box. The setup was easy, and getting started was painless. It was even able to pick up the wifi signal with better strength than my old ps3. Having said that, their were not a whole lot of directions in the box. It was pretty intuitive, but the new menu system is NOT the standard sony X menu and it takes a little experimentation to figure out where everything is located. I like the new functionality of the ps4. The way you can be involved with online games and making friends is easier than with the old system. I really like the way it downloads games in the background instead of making you watch it go when you first load games. There is a system update, but it really didn't come as a surprise to me. Finally, the share button is both gimmicky and neat. I have shared images and movies a few times, but on the other hand, I'm not sure that it needed its own button taking up controller real estate. My biggest gripe about the system and the reason it doesn't have 5 stars is that it still doesn't have many games. I can go to any store and choose between 10-12 games. There are only 10 or 12 more games that you can download. The games that are around look great, but most of them are also still available on the older console. I hope that a bunch of new games come out soon!
