I got this one on day one and so far it is working just fine. BB did a great job during the midnight distribution. Graphically, SONY needs to make a more impressive interface for menu access at all levels. They have kept a similar approach to that used in the Vita system, however the Vita interface looks a lot better. SONY needs to take advantage of HD TVs to display their menus. Granted as a player we will spend more time "playing" than surfing the interface or accessing the web, but when you "feel" like just "browsing" the system, it looks cartoonish and cheap. The "Recent Activities" menu should be hidden elsewhere and shown upon request from the user. Too much information is just annoying and fills the screen with unnecessary information. The machine works as promised and so far it has shown no problems. Setup was easy and straight forward. Visually (game graphics and action) I really cannot tell which one is better, the PS3 or PS4. I am a seasoned player and have been using SONY's products since PS1 and I am not impressed with the PS4, so far I have not seen or "felt" anything impressive or outstanding. My iPhone 4 looks and feels better (lol). If you are new to video games, then you should get it by all means, worth the money. Sucks that you need a PSN Gold membership to play online, at least is cheaper than Microsoft's Gold Live. Not compatible with PS3 games? who cares, unless you don't have a PS3 then that really sucks big time.

I purchased this over the Holidays as a package deal and was very happy with it. After a few weeks, the CD loading mechanism started making noises like a chihuahua with indigestion and I was not too pleased. A quick trip back to the store with receipt, and "no worries" exchange was done. This care keeps me spending all my electronic purchases at Best Buy.

I was going to choose a system between the PS4 and Xbox One, I happened to be more impressed with the PS4. The change from Xbox 360 to PS4 was easier than I thought, graphics are excellent, games and apps run smoothly, looks good sitting on a shelf or entertainment center, and the controller is awesome. It really all comes down to preference between the two systems but I would recommend the PS4 over the Xbox one. The transition was easy and it wasn't weird getting used to even as a long time Xbox gamer. If you love features, certain exclusives, the Kinect, gesture innovations and all in one the Xbox one is more appropriate but if better graphics and performance, cheaper membership with more benefits, certain exclusives, and a comfortable and innovative controller are more important to you than the PS4 is for you.

It's awesome how you can jump from one app to another like nothing, when watching Netflix then you receive a message easily jump to notifications when your done go to Netflix and it will automatically start your movie you wont even need to press play. When playing games like COD Ghosts the graphics plus the way it displays the colors makes the games look more real to life than the other next gen console. Me and my wife loved the colors display on the controllers makes it very easy to get 'your' controller get restarting your game right after a pause. The only problem is that my console has frozen a few times, I had to force the shut down by pressing and holding the power button, which is not that big of a deal, comparing to how great this console is, it's definitely a must buy, you won't regret it, just like I don't.

As always Sony knocks it out of the park with their gaming system.
