Customers are saying
Customers express satisfaction with the PlayStation 4's impressive graphics, enjoyable controller, and ease of use. Many also praise its performance and find it to be a good value for the price. However, some customers point out the lack of backwards compatibility with previous PlayStation consoles and disappointingly short battery life of the controller. The absence of a bundled camera was also noted as a drawback by some users.

Top-notch gaming.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The console is relatively new to market. The titles are coming along quickly. Many on-line options including downloading apps, such as Netflix and music sites. Playstation plus offers many downloadable games as well as the disc platform games.

Second time around
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I admit it. I have Wii U, XB1, and this is my second time for PS4. To be honest there are few differences in my opinion between XB1 and PS4. Both offer superb graphics and solid (free or paid subscriber) online experience. Of course the abundance of identical apps (Netflix, Hulu, Vudu, Amazon Instant Video, etc) are also another reason that either console does not have a distinct advantage above console exclusive games. Camera is optional for PS4 and XB1 is available with/without Kinect. I originally returned PS4 less than a month after launch (bought first at Sam's Club) because to me it is nothing but a slightly prettier PS3. It still feels that way, to be honest, but like XB1 it's still early and there is lots of promising stuff on the horizon. The big PS3/PS4 difference is Sony's redesigned controller. It's much, much, improved over any previous version and now has a whiz bang mood light and a microphone/speaker. Nintendo has been doing the microphone/speaker thing since early DS days haha. None of your peripherals will work natively with your shiny new PS4. Same for XB1. Either console is great so there is not a wrong answer, so to speak. Just go with what you like.

another great console from Sony
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What can I say that has already been said about Sony's next gen console for me Great comes to mind. price is ok(349.99 or 299.99 would have been better but I digress) now we can fully enjoy games in true native 1080p most gamers never realized that the majority of PS3 games were in 720p or were upscale to 1080 with that said this next gen console lifespan should keep us all busy for the next foreseeable future 10 years? highly unlikely I'm just hoping for something close to that time frame. If you are a diehard playstation fan you must own this system but if you consider yourself a True gamer then you would own all three systems Playstation Xbox and Nintendo. we can all coexist in this gaming universe

PS4 is all that I hoped for it to be
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been a huge fan since the beginning. Right after we got rid of our 3DO we went straight to Playstation and I've loved it ever since and the PS4 builds on what I've come to love. Playing it feels great. The system handles well and I like the touch pad that's been add. Right now all I've noticed is it's mostly used for moving around while you use the maps inside games. Hopefully there will be more to come for that feature. Us being able to use the PS Vita as a second controller is also a great feature and has already added to our collection of trophies.

The converted
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are some of you that are debating about the xbox one and ps4. Like many of you, I did the research, and still was a little unsure. Originally, I had an xbox 360, and tried to believe that the controller would be too different. Well, it was't that hard of a switch. The ps4 controller is larger than before, and the games are of incredible quality, especially the exclusive titles. Also, who cares if you can't play yet another halo game, or if you don't get to play Titan fall ( I heard it gets old very fast). So many games are dual console and many times sony gets access first. I expect plenty of debate about these view points, but you will not be disappointed if you get the ps4.

Great Upgrade from the PS3
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great upgrade from the PS3 - the games look great, the interface is greatly improved and the controller feels great. Seems to be the right balance of price and features for a next-gen console.

Lost him once he opened it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Grand kid loved it and will be spending lots of time within the game world now. Hope he comes out on occasions and spends a little time with his parents. I guess it depends on what level and game he is within and if he ever gets hungry.

Great new generation system
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall best system out there, no complaints. First game I played was Call of Duty: Ghosts and I was not expecting much from it due to the fact I was already playing the game previous on ps3. I thought that there was no way the game would be that different and I would have to wait for a game that was specifically made for the ps4 to be released in quite awhile. I could NOT have been any more wrong. It was literally like playing a new game. It's what Call of Duty should be, the game is a joke on ps3 now that I have played it on ps4. I cannot wait for more games to be added to the current shallow pool of games, but I bet I will not have to wait too long. Great system, hands down. Buy it.

Great system, but....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think I'll just wait to get a "slim" version for it. It got too hot and it froze twice on the PSN, could be my system only

A bit expensive, but so far so good!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Price point wise it is a little expensive for the amount of time it gets played. Pretty easy to set up and get started.

Great system they just get better and better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to use. Like the touch pad on the controller. Graphics look more real. than ps3. Got it during Christmas it was a wait but finally got it.

Sweet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quieter and faster than PS3; Graphics are better, Call of Duty Ghosts has a color-blind mode which is helpful. The cost of playing on-line is expensive in light of how expensive the console itself is, the additional cost can be burdensome. There are not a lot of games out for the PS4 yet. Overall, I am very happy with the system

As expected; awesome.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have 2 PS4s and 1 XBox1. My 5 boys and I play a lot of video games and we all prefer the playstation. I'm not a fan of having to pay for PS+ to be able to play online but that is a decent service also. Ultimately, if you can only have one system you probably have to go with the one that most of your online friends have but with the PS being 100 less than the XB I see no reason to spend the extra money. My personal preference is the PS regardless of price, and with 2 PS4s vs 1 XB1, the rest of the house agrees too. Kids range from 11-21.

Always a great console
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Even though I have both the Xbox 1 and PS4, and love them both. I will always have a soft spot for the PS's. It's streamlined design and simple, easy to use format is always a welcome to see.
