The PlayStation 4 is an amazing advance in the Sony lineup, much improved upon in terms of software and hardware, the new dual shock 4 controller that comes with the system is like a dream compare to its previous iteration. Although PlayStation Plus is required to access the online features of most games, it is well worth the yearly subscription fee due to receiving 2+ free games every month depending on whether or not certain games support cross-buy. I have had my PS4 since launch and haven't had any issues, so here's to more great games in the future!

I have had every Playstation ever released and I can say all have been great machines. Most have lasted over 7 years or until the next iteration was released. I mean teh PS3 is still kicking to this day! The styling of the PS4 is on par with what I expect.

First off I am a 33 married man with a six year old son and this was a Christmas present from my wife. I don't play like I did when I was younger but the times I do I cannot recommend this system enough. The graphics are unreal and someone who remembers the first PlayStation and said the same about that one it's funny. It's nice to see Sony sticking to making this a gaming system and not a all entertainment system. If you are are true gamer you need to check this system out.

I finally got my ps4 and I so far it has been an awesome experience. BF4 looks way better than it did on the ps3! I like the controller, console design, and the Blu ray is what I expected. I am a little disappointed with the amount of games that are out, but that should change soon. I heard that they are making the last of us for the ps4 and they should make more games from the ps3 because there are a lot of games for the ps3 that I would like to play on the ps4. They need more content on the playstation plus as well. All in all, I am happy that I decided to buy the ps4 over the xbox one.

No regrets about purchasing the PS4. Love it. Why did I buy this gaming console?: *The graphical power is the best in market. *The controller doesn't feel as cheap as the competitors. *The online features you pay for offer a lot of value by way of free games each month. *While certain menus and features can be a little difficult to navigate, the PS4 menus LOOK less cluttered (then that other next-gen gaming system) and thus seems easier to navigate for this feeble mind. Above all, there is really no major reason I've come across that makes me regret getting the PS4. Recommended.

The PS4 had everything you want in a game console in 2014. First, the price is very fair. None of that $500 nonsense. A minor gripe is that the selection of games available at this point in its life is a little light, but looking at the pending releases in 2014 (Far Cry 4, Drive club) it looks line the catalog will grow substantially soon. The controller is the highlight in my opinion. Finally a controller someone with a larger hand can use comfortably for many hours. It holds a long charge and is extremely responsive. Overall great machine that also looks great in the living room.

Graphics are crazy as is the system as a whole, only bad thing is it's not backwards compatible... Only flaw, everything else is great way better than the xbox 1

The ps4 was a lot easier to get a hold of than the ps3. Didn't have to wait outside for 36 hours, only an hour and fifteen minutes this time around.. I would recommend this to everyone that is in the market for a new system that runs 10x faster than ps3 ... There is nearly no load time for games. This in my opinion is the future of game not the x box one that cost $100 more for nothing.. I have owned a PS since the first one was released till now and can't complain about anything they have released, the only thing I can say is the keep improving the graphics to near life like game play...

This is a remarkable console, I've compared the Xbox one and the PS4 in all aspects and the PS4 just comes out on top everytime, it can do everything the xbox one can (minus the split screen feature) but the graphics in battlefield 4 and assassins creed are noticeably better. It's quick, and it just has proven so far to be a flawless system

Pros outwheigh the cons Pros: graphics, gameplay, super fast screens from what I can tell, easy navigation through screens Cons: battery life on controllers are poor, application errors are frequent(games quit in the middle of playing them), online servers are glitchy and unstable.

Enjoying my PS4 and can't leave it alone while I play FIFA and Madden. I'm only into the sports games so I can't speak for the other games available but will try them out. I used to have the PS3 and quit it years ago but this console has got me hooked!!

It's an awesome system when you see it at the store and bring it home it's just so much better. I am currently playing mlb and wolfenstien on it and it's just awesome in every way. The system isn't about media it's just about the games and what they can do for the games. This is just a gaming console I have high hopes for the future for this after I played on it and to see the songs and video stuff gone nosing it's for the games it will just blow people away now. This console is perfect. Not as big as the Xbox One and $100 cheaper than it. Problem is that the launch lineup is for casual players only (usual FPS that i have played and tired of seeing, sports, and kids games). Hard core players will be underwhelmed. I just wished Watch Dogs and Second Son were not delayed (the only games i look forward to prior to the launch). I would have had the perfect bundle pack it those two came out. For right now, there is not much that i could do with the system other than trying to get the most out of the 1 year PS+ subscription of FREE games per month.

The PS4 is everything a gamer would want in a gaming console. From it's raw power that is noticeable in games like Killing shadow Fall and Battlefield 4, and the attention to detail is superb. The system has a Interface that is easy to navigate. The PS4 also logs an ample amount of deta, such as download & upload history, error codes etc. I also love that the video content from the online store is now streaming, so there is no downloading & movies don't take up room on your hard drive. Speaking of hard drive it is upgradable! To cut this review short, I am very happy with my purchase.

Over all the Playstation 4 is a great purchase. The games look pristine. The price compared to XBox1 is great, you get a better system for a cheaper price!!!

PS4 compact design.. sleek design is awesome. To save space you can keep the console upright as well. The new PS4 dual shock comes with a small touch pad.

Honestly I only bought this for the blue ray and DLNA. Hoping it'll be like the PS3. Well, so far no DLNA and youtube. Seriously they need to hurry up and get that fix. I suppose that's what you get for buying early. Other then that, I have no problems with it so far and its neat!

I was a PC gamer till the first generation PS3 came out, and then became playstation gamer since then, I bought my PS4 about a month and half ago, since then i'm looking for camera which nowhere to be found, now I'm at the point that thinking about switching to XBOX One just because of that, and also the games are very limited on PS4, compare to Xbox one which has more games available, I think Sony should've thought about supplying more games and accessories before releasing the console, One the other hand, graphic on PS4 is the best I've ever seen, I have a older LCD TV but still the details and motion is flawless. That's the only reason I still have my PS4. Overall I'm happy with PS4 and hope to find the camera and better games in the near future.

Excellent performance. No problems 5 weeks in. Easy to learn interface. Would prefer a better mic- decided to purchase a new one to communicate properly.
